How to be OP in the Bastard!!-verse. This will be assuming everyone is at their strongest point.
Local Scale Threat:
This is definitely the largest tier since it includes most of the conventional characters and species in the series up to and including elite forces. Statwise this tier goes from below average human level for the average hobbit, up to the large building to city block level range. One of Kal Su's 12 generals, MacPain withstood a feat of being blasted high into the air from a dragon's breath and crashing through a skyscaper collapsing it, a feat calced at the upper end of large building level, suggesting the tier is in that general range. It might be higher as the breath also seemed to split the clouds and making the storm disappear, but this is the conservative estimate. Speedwise the tier scales to a heavily weakened poisoned Dark Schneider deflecting a supersonic attack with one hand, Kai Harn of Arshes Nei's three Sorcerer Generals avoiding a supersonic attack at literally point blank range, Samurai Ingweil outpacing MacPain's threads which can reach hundreds of kilometers away quickly as well as likely within the range of Ingweil's hypersonic sword slash, putting the tier at upper end supersonic to lower end hypersonic. Also at one point the General Zack interferes with the light-bullet attack of a stronger angel, so some people in the tier may have relativistic reactions.
The verse takes place in a setting highly mutated by magical fallout from the collapse of the "old world." As such monsterous creatures and magical humanoids roam the world. These magical humanoids include the elves, gifted with seeming ageleness, enhanced eyesight, and enhanced magical power, their rivals the dark elves born of demonic descent, the tough, night vision-gifted and magically resistant dwarves, the frail but agile hobbits with the agility to speak to the birds and plants, and superhumanly strong monsterous humanoids like orcs and lizardmen. Almost everyone in the verse that's sentient also has fourth wall awareness with even completely random nameless humans proclaiming an event will be "the end of the manga."
Outside them, there's also even more monsterous creatures roaming the land. Like the Unchiku slimes which eat clothing. More dangeorously there are giant monsters like the modern giants, and variants like the one-eyed cyclops and bull-headed minotaur, massive physical powerhouses. There exists draconic type monsters like the wyvern or the multi-headed hydra, including the fire-breathing pyrohydra. Within the first few chapters one of these battles one of the golems, giant constructs weighing up to 100,000 tons, golems being heavily resistant to magic. There's also the sphinxs, giant flying feline-type monsters that can create stormwinds and and whose roar induce a sense of vertigo. The verse has cockatrice and medusa whose touch and gaze respectively turns people to stone, as well as beholders including some with anti-magic shields not even Dark Schneider was able to break through. Perhaps most dangerous, the verse has Midians, or the creatures of the night including lycanthropes like werewolves and weretigers that are immune to any weapon save silver, vampires with all the classic vampire tricks and immunity to all non-magical weapons, and the spectres, demonic ghosts that gain strength from terror, destroy human souls, and possess them.
The tier is also full of wizards and magic-users who have learned to manipulate magic through gestures and invocations. These include elemental mages that focus on learning the conjuration and manipulation of one of the elements from a pact with the elemental spirits (including the four classic elements, as well as lightning and ice), white magic given by inner faith and God that grants defensive magic and support magic, dark magic involving pacts with demons granting the most devastating of offensive magic, and necromancers like Doshi used to raise and control the dead.
However the tier also has elite fighters that mix sorcery and swordcraft, and more skills besides to become as strong personally as whole armies. This includes the powerful Hobbits Alexi Rayho Chil-Bo-Do and priest Yanne Wino Chio-Bo-Do at power levels of 754 and 820 respectively as well as almost certainly the highest power level of this tier, Dwarven King Jeloy Bjohrn at 990. Before the first timeskip however the three who were strongest among those who used both sword and spell were the 3 sorcerer generals of Arshes Nei. The weakest of them was Sean Ari who used talisman magic to seal off others magic, create flame, and summon giant spiders, and could use her magic to disguse herself. Stronger than her was her sister Kai Harn, also possessing of fire magic but also knowing the invocation of an ancient god to turn an enemy to stone, without knowledge of which god she was drawing power from the spell was impossible to counter. Strongest of the three sorcerer generals was the vampire lord Dai Amon. Dai Amon like all vampires is immune to non-magical weapons, and has resistance to magic. He can also control other undead, turn into a swarm of bats, regenerate from a head, and shoot lasers from his eyes that make people explode.
After the first timeskip there are also the noble Samurai, all masters of magic and swordplay, opposing Kal Su's reign. Their leader is Joshua Berahia, a physical powerhouse for the tier who has the ability to create Spellbound, a barrier to protect against magical effects, and create explosions with his magical power. There's also the even more skilled fighter Sean Ka with his deadly invisible blade and Bai Stabe who can infuse his blade with his own lifeforce to amplify its power and can create fire. These are the most notable of their numbers.
They are opposed by the 12 generals of Kal Su, his elite troops; fearless, crafty in magic, and experienced in warfare. They are given "an incredible destructive power." This includes John Zor Vanderberg which has the Black Renegade Armor, immune to physical damage up to and including country level+ attacks, as well as the soul-stealing blade Soul-Eater. The cheerful jack-of-all-trades Ross Zaboss Friedrich has as his special ability "gravity bomb" where he massively increases gravity in an area, and can transform his sword into a sword-arm that can stretch long distances. The stealthy ninja Borgir Bir uses poisons that can instantly kill most humans, can manipulate shadows with his ninja-like powers, and can summon a golem to fight for him. Speaking of summoning, the summoner Ida Dysna can summon demons and spirits to kill his enemies, including ice spirits to freeze his enemies, or a giant titan's foot to crush his enemies. He is also proficient with the fan as a weapon and it rumored he can behead 100 people in a single slash. Saix of Snowwhite is the intelligent pretty boy of the Generals, with braclets he can use to warp space and dimensions used to spatially crush enemies. The pragmatic dirty-fighting MacPain uses wires that can extend kilometers to slice up his enemies and has an antimagic blade that can even cut through a spell bound or reflect magic attacks. The creepy Ba Thory is the bug master who can summon hordes of insects that can dissolve organic matter, or use the bugs in his body to heal him from even being cut in two. Perhaps most hax of them is the bard Shera Eli who despite being the weakest physically can use her magical music to charm, induce sleep or instant death, and get visions of the future. The others are mostly physical fighters with maybe an elemental ability.
However the biggest threat on this tier are the Angels and Demons. Angels are arranged in 9 ranks, and the lowest two are on this tier. They are higher dimensional beings existing on three dimensional planes at once; the spiritual, the astral, and the physical. To battle the Angels physical manifestation forced people like the Generals and Samurai to use their strongest attacks. Baseline Angels are shapeshifting entities several meters tall, who can twist their bodies all around or change their arms to machine guns shooting blows that can indent even the advanced Elvish airship technology or change their wings to steel blades. Angels can also phase through solid matter or forcibly fuse with it. They are highly resistant to all magic, especially light magic, and completely immune to time stop. They also have their distinctive ability the song; by matching their astral voices to the frequency of physical matter, they can cause it to explode. More angels can join the celestial harmony to amplify this effect even further. Above the baseline 9th class angels are the 8th class Archangels, formed from 2 angels doing the fusion ritual (the fusion dance from Dragon Ball), becoming twice as powerful and gaining the ability to communicate. Beyond even them are Principalities, giant hulking angels that govern the lowest two classes of angels, gaining a greater resistance to magic. Low ranking Demons are also on this tier, and can be summoned by dark magic.
Overall this tier has a lot of anti-magic and anti-matter (especially organic abilities), some soul/mind shenanigans, some characters basically immune to conventional damage at this tier, a little spatial/gravity manipulation, and massive versatility. So what would be good counter abilities?
Well mages in the verse actually have several weaknesses. As magic is just the childish imitation of Angels/Demons, magic requires invocations, catalysts, and gestures to perform so things like silence inducement, telekinesis to remove catalysts, and binding would be fairly strong against mages. Casting spells is also highly taxing on stamina with it being stated only Dark Schneider would be able to cast that many spells in a day (that many being something like 10) Non-magical warriors typically lack versatility in comparison and their ultimate attack often also involves an invocation and so takes a second to cast. This tier lacks almost any abilities that are thought-based, touch-based, or are passive outside off the top of my head the petrification of the cockatrice and medusa, as well as the angels touch-based fusion. This leads me to thinking the way to win is to win quickly, hitting with some kind of hax power that can be activated instantly, especially given a lot of fighters in the verse seem to work up to their ultimate technique.
Beyond that monsters are typically not very intelligent and can be tricked, and are also easily controlled with a magicians aura allowing them to control monsters like the hydra. Also while angels and demons are extremely hard to permenantly kill, to manifest themselves on the physical plane takes an enormous amount of energy that this tier would not have access too, meaning that destroying their physical form would keep them from returning for a long time and be counted as a victory. The ability to affect astral forms is still important to fight undead ghosts and spectres, but you don't need interdimensional spiritual attacks for this tier.
There are two main strategies I think would be especially strong for this tier. The first is a stealth strategy similar to Borgir Bir's. Winning quickly via an ambush strategy seems like a broken strategy for the tier. There's very few characters with super senses; elves can see farther, dwarves can see in the dark and hobbits can hear the words of plants, but a character with invisibility and maybe levitation would be practically undetectable to the tier and could kill people before they have a chance to use one of their powerful abilites, only having to really worry about being hit by an unlucky blow. The other strategy I think could be very strong is the psychic illusionist strategy. This provides many of the benefits of the stealth strategy, but creating illusions and nmaking mages attack falsely can also stamina drain them and if done at range takes the threat of being hit by a lucky strike out of the equation.
This brings me to my first counter
Manchester Black from DC Comics
Manchester Black was able to fight Tim Drake physically, putting him on the lower end of this tier physically, scaling from early Batman dodging point blank machine gun fire, and early Batman and Deathstroke surviving being inside a school exploding.
Manchester Black is one of DC's earths most powerful psychics, able to read minds all across a country, giving him the ability to telepathically scan for any threats that could get anywhere remotely close to him in the tier. He can and would instantly kill people he deems as threats by severing the organs in their brain, a technique that worked even against Superman. He is a brutal pragmaticist similar to MacPain and absolutely would do this against anyone like the Samurai or Generals while he could remain basically completely basically anonymous hiding in the local populace or controlling the various wandering monsters with his telepathy.
Even if discovered, Manchester has a special focus on memory manipulation, deleting the memory of Superman's identity from Lex Luthor's mind form far away. He could simply delete any memory of his real identity from anyone who discovers it. This memory erasure could also delete any mage's memory of their invocations leaving them without their abilities. He even has telekinesis with which he could use to mess with a mage's catalysts and illusions creating an illusion of a dead Lois Lane to trick Superman. He could create illusions of himself to decieve an enemy mage into exhausting their stamina against him.
The only real problem is...I don't think he would do that well against the Angels. As their true forms are spiritual entities residing in a higher dimension, his mental abilities probably can't affect them. While he could try and control the tier to fight them, that's basically what happened at the end of the second arc and the angels would have overrun them without Dark Schneider.
For a counter that would do better against the angels, I would suggest
Perseus from Greek Mythology.
Fittingly for a tier who one of the biggest threats is Petrification, you could use the original slayer of Medusa, Perseus. Perseus battled and slew the giant sea monster Cetus, whose skull alone was 12.2 meters in diameter, and who could casually fly around Greece, putting him easily in the stat range for the tier.
Perseus can engage the verse much more conventionally if need be, being a greatly skilled and physically powerful warrior. However he has numerous pieces of magic equipment like the winged sandals of flight and Hades' helmet of Invisibility making him an undetectable threat to the tier. Even greater he carries the adamantine sickle that Cronus used to wound his father Uranus, a universal conceptual entity, suggesting that it could slash through and potentially even permentanly kill an angel or a demon. He also has Medusa's head which he can use to mass petrifiy any number of more conventional forces he has to go up against.
Combined with his confident but not arrogant personality, Perseus could fly around invisible, slashing people with conceptually damaging sickle slashes or flash freeze large groups of enemies with Medusa's head. The only thing that would really be a threat would be a lucky blow or perhaps the music of Shera Eli. Perseus has never fought anything like the Sirens and so might not know how to keep from being instantly killed or put to sleep or charmed by Shera's enchanting song.
For the best counter to this tier I would suggest
The Quicksand Man from Chalkzone.
The Quicksand Man can easily overpower Snap who was able to easily withstand a meteor strike to his head, calced at 91 tons of tnt, or upper end of city block level. Meteors also enter the atmosphere very quickly, generally at speeds between Mach 32 and Mach 209, and being comparable to them suggests that in both power and speed The Quicksand Man would be at a physical power/speed advantage.
The Quicksand Man flies around invisibility and intangibility, making him completely imperceptible to almost anyone in the tier. Using his sand he can make people feel asleep, a power no one in the tier has shown resistance to, or open portals to the Nightmarium, a dimension where everyone is forced to live out their worst nightmares.
Even angels can be trapped in other dimensions, with it being mentioned in the conversation with Uriel tha angels can't get too close or be trapped in the Black Abyss and in fact sealing is how mages in the tier usually defeat demons. No one on this tier would be able to escape being trapped in the Nightmarium, nor would they be able to fight back in this world, because The Quicksand Man's dimension nullifies all magical abilities. While the tier has some degree of anti-magic and resistance itself, The Nightmarium nullified Rudy's magical chalk which can effect celestial bodies like planets and stars and even the entire chalk zone, meaning that it definitely would nullify everyone in this tier, and almost anyone in the verse. Only the biological abilities of the monsters would work, and not even the Medusa or Cockatrice's petrification would help as The Quicksand Man is made of chalk, a type of stone, already.
Regional Scale Threat:
This tier is the tier of Dark Schneider after his resurrection, when he was still rusty, and his Riders of Havoc, along with those on the same level of power, those who could kill a Devil, a Demon whose power level exceeds 1,000. Characters in this tier are generally at least city level scaling from the destruction of castle Metallicana which was like a nuclear blast, the Devilish Hammer being stated to be able to flatten any city in the world, The Elvish city of King Crimson Glory being made entirely from the Elves' magical essence, and the lightning blade the Raijinken being said to be able to split a mountain. People in this tier also sometimes have a country level ultimate attack scaling from Dark Schneider's Black Sabbath atomizing a large chunk of the ground, or to country level durability, but since no one on the tier has both country level attack potency and durability, I'm limited to city level. The tier could be argued to be even higher with Dark Schneider's Black Sabbath being stated to be able to "destroy the world" if it went out of control, and Kal Su's reign causing eternal winter and darkness to reign over the world, which suggest that it might be multi-continent to planetary instead, which might make sense as these mages were relevant in power to Anthrax of the higher tier, so whenever you see "country" for this tier, know it's "possibly multi-continent to planet level." Speedwise, almost everyone on this tier scales upwards of the same supersonic+ to hypersonic feats performed earlier, the lightning spirit Nue is likely massively hypersonic due to literally being lightning, and Gara was able to react to and catch a lightspeed attack from Anthrax suggesting some people on the tier may have relativistic reactions (Gara also has a lightspeed attack, his ultimate attack.)
On this tier are the masters of the physical domain, the dragons, giant flying powerhouses with huge magic resistance, their own special draconic magic, high intelligence, and extrasensory organs. They are the strongest of the purely material creatures, though rivaling them are the lightning-wielding ancient giants and it is implied as well the race of titans. Just as deadly are the Undead Dragons, losing the draconic intelligence but gaining the ability to absorb lifeforce. Beyond the physical, on this tier are the elemental spirits, dimension traveling spirits of the elements who are the ones elemental mages make pacts with to gain their powers. This includes the fiery Efreet of Dark Schneider and the lightning spirit Nue of Arshes Nei who are considered equal and brought the two of them through dimensions.
The Elvish Royalty are on this tier with the Empress Dhani having a power level of 1500 and her summons being able to destroy the Augoeides (Spiritual Body) of a demon. Powerful Clerics are on this tier including the great Geo Noto Soto whose white magic was able to defend against the black magic of Dark Schneider, was one of a few white mages who sealed Dark Schneider inside the soul of Lushe 15 years before the start of the series, and who is a warrior monk that is a "120 degree black belt". Also his daughter Tia Yoko should be on this tier. While her sometimes comically beating up Dark Schneider is a gag that likely shouldn't apply, early in the manga she actually fights Gara physically for a solid page completely seriously. Upon reaching the rank of High Priestess after the timeskip she has full cleric white magic powers.
Their opposite in this tier would likely be the the three generals of Abigail's undead army after being given each one of the three cursed items. Lynch is an undead knight created by Doshi from the finest bits of 100 dead knights, empowered by Anthrax and given the Demonic Armor by Abigail. Lynch uses sonic vibration based attacks and his Demonic Armor gives immunity to damage from mundane and magical sources up to and including Dark Schneider's Black Sabbath. Vivian is a cyclops bestowed with some of Anthrax's cells, mutating and growing stronger. This gives him a low-high regen, able to regen from most of his body being destroyed, growing stronger with each regeneration, and given the Devilish Hammer which can create city-destroying earthquakes.
Most dangerous however, even Abigail can't control and released only because he had too, is the Lich Ede Ee, existing at the same time on the physical and astral plane as a ghost. As a Lich, Ede Ee is immune to all physical strikes, and its magical power ranks with the greatest wizards. It can also command all the lesser undead, and sucks out the souls and lifeforce of mortals and all nearby living things. Ede Ee can also release those souls under his command to attack for him ands emit a black gas that rots all life it comes into contact with, even growing to destroy an entire country. Ede Ee can also create an anti-magical field that can stop all magic, though he can't cast spells under it, and has Satan's Ring which creates a portal that sucks things into another dimension which would have BFR-ed Dark Schneider permenantly if Efreet hadn't brought him through dimensions.
Most famously this tier has the Riders of Havoc themselves. This includes Gara a ki-manipulating Ninja with the ability to infuse his lifeforce into his attack allowing him to attack at lightspeed, hit on the astral plane, and disguse himself. Arshes Nei the Thunder Empress is a half dark elf with the ability to control lightning especially, as well as wind and earth, can summon light arrows that track down an enemy's weakest point with Anselm, and can create a smaller portal to another dimension that sucks up all magic acting as an anti-magic shield. Abigail is one of the wise men who changed their body to resemble the elves, has uploaded his brains into technology giving him technopathy and the ability to regenerate from one of his backup brains, various broken dark magic/necromancy related spells including sleep/death hax, summoning ghosts/undead legion, turning people into a toad, demon-banishing, and at one point was able to combine the three cursed items into a mecha form called Omega Abigail.
However their strongest member was Kal Su, the ice manipulator who became high king of the world. He can use cold magic equal in power to Dark Schneider, at the time's, fire magic, including atomic annihilating absolute zero magic, summoning blizzards and ice monsters, teleportation, illusions, causing people to explode, as well as having a country level heat resistance and a regen factor.
However the biggest threat on this tier is that now the angels and demons are actually strong enough that their spiritual bodies become important to fight. Angels and Demons are composed of eternal atoms, atoms existing in 3 different dimensional planes, the physical, the spiritual and the astral connecting the two, meaning that to kill them requires at least a spiritual atomic attack on an inter-dimensional range. While it takes a massive amount of energy, angels can manifest the augoeides, their bodies of spiritual light on the physical plane, rather than just their physical body, giving them massively more power. Demons have the inverse, bodies of spiritual darkness. The Augoeides can also manipulate the endless energy of the universe at will, suggesting universal scale energy manipulation.
Above the Principalities are the Potentates or "Powers." Angels that wearing futuristic technology resembling Robocop. The Powers are given control of atoms and electrons. Stronger still are the Virtues, angels that govern the physical laws of the universe and so should be able to control such things as gravity and electromagnetism. Devils are corresponding to this level, Demons with a powerlevel of 1000, possessing magic and intellect on par with the angels, having trickster powers even when physically incarned including shapeshifting, telepathy, and illusions. They can also cancel out magic with their void howling ability.
It is stated at this level, Angels and Demons start gaining Dispel Bounds, layers of magical shields that block essentially everything in the verse, which is basically any power. The magic canceling Spell Bound of the humans is an imitation of this power, though the Dispel Bounds blocks even non-magical powers. As they grow in number with the power of an angel or demon, it's likely at this level it would likely only be a single layer of Dispel Bound meaning basically that the angels and demons would have a city level forcefield that they can instantly regen, which while annoying is not as impossible as later levels of Dispel Bounds.
So how to counter this tier?
A lot of the weaknesses still apply, they just apply a lot less. Magic wielding characters do still need all the same things for magic, there's not a huge amount of anti-stealth though angels have futuristic looking tech and dragons have extrasensory organs. Also because angels pre Dominion Class don't have the telescopic vision, they are somewhat limited to visual range of their three bodies. Because a lot of the characters with higher plane bodies ALSO have physical bodies, sealing them away, particularly dimensional sealing should still work, particularly as such would work on much stronger angels and demons. A similar-ish ambush-y type strategy with disguising self and dimensional sealing would be pretty strong I think, particularly for someone who can quickly get past a single layer of Dispel Bounds. Also because most of the characters are only hypersonic, but you can use massively hypersonic characters you can get a solid speed advantage to help with that.
Another thing that's notable is that many of the attacks here seem to be particularly devastating at biological organisms, such as Ede Ee's rotting power, Kal Su's freezing, or the distortions of the physical forces and the gravity manipulation, radiation, electromagnetism implied. A more elemental type character would potentially resist a lot of the tier's tricks similar to one of the elemental spirits. This leads me to my first counter
Aquamarine from Steven Universe.
Aquamarine physically was able to take a blow from late series Steven, putting her above the snow storm making monster Amethyst fought and should scale to Garnet's lightning-timing putting her in the right stat range for the tier. She should also scale reactions-wise off Steven watching a mental form travel between galaxies at billions of times the speed of light.
As a Gem Aquamarine's incarnation is formed of ageless stone, giving her a good degree of resistance to many of the broken offenses of the tier; including electromagnetism and radiation which would be unable to affect her stone form. While Ede Ee's black rot smoke was able to strip away normal stone, Gems are made of ageless stone that don't wither away with time. While Virtues can control gravity, a Gem's body will automatically adjust to different levels of gravity. Even the atomic control of the Powers wouldn't work on her true self as Gems true selves are made of massless particles of light.
Aquamarine can blitz around most of the people of the verse with reactions that can easily allow her to attack multiple times before anyone but like the Elemental Spirits being able to respond. These can forcibly put anyone it hits into stasis, which would be quite strong as it would keep mags from using the gestures needed for their spells, and even against angels/demons, would force them to summon their augoeides since they're not regenerating from anything and wouldn't be able to break through it, giving Aquamarine more time. This stasis could even work on multi-continent level characters, meaning even a higherballed Black Sabbath or Kal Su's testament wouldn't break it. Her water manipulation gives her a particularly strong matchup vs Kal Su as all his powers are ice, frozen water, and as a half ice dragon, he even has ice in his blood. She could also disguse herself with gem shapeshifting to use ambush tactics.
Most importantly, all gems have the ability to create bubbles to BFR people inside their personal pocket dimension, sealing them there. Against this tier, that would be a broken ability as the only people who can dimensionally travel freely are the Elemental Spirits who in general would be Aquamarine's hardest fight though as stone can weather fire and lightning fairly well, it seems like she'd do pretty well against Efreet and Nue.
However, she may not be able to beat the Elemental Spirits and technically Arshes Nei has Anselm which creates light arrows targeting an enemy's weakest points, would focus in on Aquamarine's gem. For a character that could kill everyone in the tier, you could use
Double from Skullgirls
Squigly has stated Double brimmed with the same power as the Skullheart scaling to the Skullgirl Marie throwing the top half of a giant skyscraper across a Megacity, as well as containing a whole city within it herself. She also scales to the magical girl Annie of the Stars who can cross a massive city in seconds rescuing people all across it, scaling herself to the same general stat range as the tier.
Double is a far more offensive counter, leaning into the ambush hunter type strategy. She usually disguises herself as a human nurse before attacking. She can absorb enemies into her personal dimension of Gehenna where again only Nue and Efreet would be able to escape by themselves. She can also transform herself into the cast members including Peacock and Beowulf who have shown them the ability to hit on the metafictional level, suggesting she would be able to even kill angels if need be, while disgusing herself as one of their loyal followers (and in fact the few remaining sects of Christianity it is implied are the only ones the angels will spare, giving Double a prime opportunity.)
By changing her form against different opponent she can take advantage of relative vulnerability for example turning into the undead Squigly to avoid the rot effect of Ede Ee's black fog, or using Ms. Fortune's form to recover from Kal Su's explosion inducement, or using Valentine's time stop to give herself ample time against anyone but the angels who are the ones most likely to fall for her natural disguse herself and dimensionally seal attack.
That said while she could probably win this way, if she's caught out in a direct fight against the angels, their holy powers and atomic powers would be extremely dangerous as she doesn't really have the speed to reliably teleport away. For a counter that would be extremely potent both offensively and defensively, I would suggest
Lok from Magicka.
Lok was able to create and tank a nuclear explosion, and as the strongest mage might scale to Assatur's presence creating a spatial disruption across a mountain, putting her either on the lower end or in the middle of this tier's raw power. Speedwise she's easily on par with the Wizards who are lightning-timers, giving her a noted speed advantage against most of the tier.
Magicka Elements are noted at many points to work on an abstract level with death mana being particularly noted for peeling back the layers of causation itself, meaning it should absolutely work on eternal atoms.
As the Chosen Child, Lok has access to dozens of elements, giving her the ability to resist basially anything on this tier by combining it with shield to allow her to not just stop the attack but absorb it. She can use Shield + Fire, Lightning, Cold, or even the Atomic Element Radiation to make the attacks of the tier become absorbed. Lok can materialize magical singularities even beyond a shield, meaning she could attack even spell bound protected wizards or someone wearing the Demonic Armor.
Lok resembles a small child but is not only a supergenius intellect who created advanced technology but also has sense magic to have a full sense of her surroundings and how powerful her enemies are meaning she will know who her enemies are while the truth would not be in true in reverse. Lok can also use life mana to bring life to golems, something that in Bastard!! would be quite strong as golemns in this verse are almost immune to magic. Lok has time magic which would work on everyone but the angels, and one her regular attacks is summoning a swarm of obsidian lava knives to wear down the Dispel Bounds of an angel/demon.
Lok has her two most dangerous weapons, one being her Prison Orb, which BFRs an enemies in front of her to a prison dimension where no magic can be used. Given even the Elemental Spirits seem to use magic, hence them granting elemental magic, it's possibly literally no one in the tier would be able to escape it, and it works too quickly for anyone else to respond too, meaning the only defense would be the passive Dispel Bounds of the Angels/Demons. Her other advantage is her intelligence and magical potential. Lok was able to create new magic and learn magic quickly, and so its likely could quickly learn some of the magic of the verse as she completely lacks the stamina problem of most mages in the verse (having all the energy of the great wizard wars within her), and could likely manipulate others into helping her as she was able to unite the chaotic Midgard in support of her.
Planetary Scale Threat:
This is the tier of the upper tier angels and demons, all the way up to those who can actually figh the the Seraphs' material form. A dominion class angel Anthrax's sealed power was in a legend stated to have tilted the Earth off its axis in battle with the great Dragon Knight, and sink whole continents. This may just be a legend, but its' also the lower bound for the tier. The Viscount class Demon Konron was 6,600 times stronger than Anthrax, possibly Anthrax's true self, while in physical form, and his Augoeides was actually considered a threat to the physical forms of the Seraphs which can pulverize planets and move faster than light. As such this tier gets up to FTL and Planetary. This is also the level of Dark Schneider during the great golem war 15 years before the start of the series, and later after the second timeskip in his base form. Also of note the demon Konron temporarily got the weapon of Uriel, Gungnir which can destroy a star, meaning that one stat can go up to star level.
On this tier is Lars Ul Metallicana the Dragon Warrior, who in the past stopped Dark Schneider from conquering the world, the two clashing for several days, before Lars finally killed him by summoning the Dragon Knight Mecha. Lars in his base is in the prior tier, but after activating his dragon aura, he grows to this tier as he fought original Dark Schneider who was stronger than the one that fought Anthrax. His Dragon Aura is a spiritual aura in the shape of a dragon which can trap all forms of entities including djinn, demons, evil gods, and angels in it, destroying them via with his spiritual energy. His blade can also absorb and reflect all types of magic.
Similar in power is the demon Anthrax, a cybernetically trapped demon, of the former Dominon Class of Angel, reflecting man's self-destructive attempt to usurp God. Every cell of Anthrax is alive and can congeal into powerful monsters of the prior tier, or can infect other entities turning them into mutated monsterous versions of themselves with additional powers. Anthrax can also process more information than a supercomputer, warp space around herself to shield from attacks, and can absorb souls. Abigail can also possess the mind and soul of people as she did to Kal Su.
Dominion Class Angels in general have teleportation and telescopic/x-ray vision. There's two classes even higher than Dominion Class before getting to the Seraphs, the Thrones and Cherubim who scale to the abilities of all angels before. This is also the tier of Viscount Class Demons like Konron, who stole the idea of Void Howling from the humans, torturing an angel he implanted into his body to create the heavenly sound frequency to nullify angel abilities used against him. This is likely the position of the 72 Princes of Hell.
Also at this point Angels and Demons have several layers of Dispel Bounds protecting them, which starts to become troublesome if one can't blitz them. If one is much stronger, than you can destroy multiple dispel bounds at once, but it requires a fairly sizeable power difference, the bigger the power difference, the less it works.
In terms of weaknesses, this verse has a lot less types of combat and powers as prior ones, as the angels and demons become the only real threats. Demons are characteristically sadistic and don't tend to try and finish enemies off quickly. Similarly angels are prone to philosophizing, with even the extremely vindicitive and fiery Michael taking the time to explain to some humans exactly why the angels' destruction of the human world is completely justified. Angels and demons are both characteristically arrogant, looking down on everything else. It also takes massive energy to manifest the Augoeides so an Angel/Demon on this tier won't do so unless neccesary as evidenced by Konron not even using it against the Seraphs, confident in his ability to win via just void howling.
To me this suggests a manipulator type character would do well, especially if they have some way to get around the Eternal Atoms/Dispel Bounds broken defensive combination. Especially considering the attacks still have names that are used, that once again speed is the key; passive powers, thought based powers, gesture based powers. While Angels/Demons perform miracles just by moving, which human magic is imitation of, speaking the name of their techniques does take a moment. Also its stated if a demon dies in Hell, they die for good.
So my first counter is an interesting idea I had that being
Reality Gauntlet Freakshow from Danny Phantom.
Freakshow scales above Technus' ghost rays which was calced at traveling 12%c putting him roughly in the middle of this tier's speed, though fast enough to compete with anyone not in their Augoeides. His physical power is negible, only about as powerful as Anthrax's cell monter spawns, however he has the Reality Gauntlet which has affected the entire sun before, giving him similar attack potency to Gungnir.
Dispel Bounds works less against a more powerful enemy and the Reality Gauntlet has more power than anyone on this tier by a wide margin meaning its reality warping should just be able to outright bypass Dispel Bounds. It can also affect ghosts, even nullifying Danny's ectoplasm, comprised of a ghost's spirit, suggesting it should be able to hit higher planes. The eternal atoms being in another dimension might make it seem impossible to hit but the guys in white believed they could use the Gauntlet to wipe out all ghosts which would include even in the ones in the ghost zone, a different metaphysical dimension. This means Freakshow with the Reality Gauntlet should be able to one-shot an angel or demon of this tier by reality-warping.
The Gauntlet also demonstrated time reversal, sending Danny and company back before the events of the last few days, something which the verse has not actually shown. While angels can tank time stop, if Freakshow went back in time, no one in the verse would be able to just outright follow him while he planned. Even if Konron tried to use Gungnir, the Gauntlet could cause the angelic weapon to come to life and just attack Konron. If the Angels tried to seal Freakshow, he could escape as he did the Fenton Thermos.
Also, and I don't think this would work, but I felt like I should mention, its possible invisibility would still work. Angels of the Dominion Class have x-ray vision and telescopic vision, but that doesn't neccesarily mean that they can see something invisible and it seems odd that a tier this full of hax wouldn't be able to counter it but....I'm not actually sure if Freakshow went invisible, they'd be able to see where he went. Ghost invisibility isn't just being on the astral plane, it's making it so that light doesn't interact with their bodies. Demons have telepathy but I couldn't find anyplace where they telepathically sense someone, just communicate. Only Dark Schneider has feats of telepathic sensing, and he's not in this tier.
Now granting Freakshow is himself pretty arrogant and if anyone serious from this tier actually hits him, he'd be vaporized. For a counter that would fit in with the verse more you could use
Queen Reine Devilla from Wedding Peach
Outside of her title, Reine would fit in well as a Viscount Demon power-wise. She is a spiritual entity herself, fighting a spiritual battle against the angels, powerwise it would take all four of the Sacred Four to fight her, when the four can transform three worlds, and is stronger than the planetary Petora demon. Speedwise she scales to Wedding Peach's light which traveled quickly to Angel World and back, giving her stats similar to the upper end of the tier, if not notably faster.
Reine is a spiritual plane entity who can affect the human and angel worlds in other dimensions from the Demon World meaning she should be able to hit eternal atoms, and she's strong roughly as strong as one of viscount's augoeides meaning she should probably be able to get past Dispel Bounds of most characters on this tier through raw power and lots of fast attacks.
Reine has some advantages against the tier as well, she isn't just an example of a character that would fit as one of the high tiers. Unlike demons in this tier, Reine doesn't need to expend energy to manifest in the physical world and can just casually travel through dimensions meaning she can BFR enemies and can attack them in the physical plane where they would find it harder to use their full power. Also while Reine is weak to the energy of love, most Bastard!! verse angels aren't actually particularly loving and lack mercy towards humans as they are being sof perfect good and thus hate the sinful nature of humans. Therefore the holy type angel powers might not work on her as well since she gets stronger from hatred, even the hatred of angels. Also if Reine was on the side of the demons, Reine is able to corrupt entities spiritually and is stated to be the source of all evils meaning she might just be able to buff the demons or turn an angel into a demon, which would be really big.
That said some angels, like Gabriel do have hearts full of love and its likely there holy energy would absolutely destroy Reine if it hit her, especially as she has no Dispel Bounds of her own. The best counter for the tier I think would be
Sosuke Aizen from Bleach
Aizen is in the same general tier as the Soul King who was maintaining several worlds, and scales far above characters that can avoid the Auswahlen Light putting him at the upper end of the tier in terms of stats.
Aizen uses reiatsu, spiritual energy which he can use to erase things up to the spiritual plane, sort of like an amped version of Lars' dragonic aura. Characters with reiatsu like Aizen's can affect even things in another dimensions and on transcendent planes of reality, suggesting Aizen should be able to destroy the eternal atoms of angels if need be. Beyond that because this tier doesn't yet have eternal atoms erasing abilities, their attacks likely wouldn't be able to one-shot Aizen allowing him to regenerate stronger via the Hogyoku.
Aizen is known for his extreme manipulation abilities as well as the perception warping abilities of his hypnosis. While the latter wouldn't work past Dispel Bounds, that is something he should be able to get past with not just his speed and power, but due to his ability to attack with numerous attacks at once.
Aizen also has a cosmic awareness allowing him to sense things on a dimensional scale, as well as the ability to hide his spiritual presence, meaning he could attack anyone on the tier from a dimensional outside their current perception where they can't counter-attack from. He can also BFR enemies to Hell where the Demons have been trapped since the start of the war with the angels, or seal them with Hado 90 which creates a black coffin that distorts spacetime within it, like a tiny black abyss.
Overall he could seem to be just a normal being while being completely impercetible and erasing or sealing angels and demons from other dimensions while also being able to manipulate them into thinking it was the other side and if he has to get into a fight he has the raw stats and power combination to quickly erase anyone fighting him and anything less then the strongest attacks in the tier he can return from.
Galactic Scale Threat:
This is the tier of the Augoeides of the 3 of the 4 Seraphs, the last of which gets into the tier above. This tier is in the Small Galaxy to Galaxy Range. This comes from Michael's power being stated to rival the entire universe (the energy output of the universe every second is in the low galaxy range), the Augoeides being compared to quasars, the superenergetic active nuclei of some galaxies, the Seraphs surviving the destruction of the black abyss, the center of the Milky Way Galaxy with 5 million stellar masses, and Judas Pain altogether being stated to be able to destroy a galaxy. Speedwise the Seraphs traveled from the Earth to the center of the galaxy while fighting demons within the 4 year timeskip, meaning that at absolute minimum their speed is about 7,000c and is more likely millions of times the speed of light.
The Augoeides of the Seraphs not only passively paralyzes and cause confusion and fear they can even turn weaker enemies into a pillar of salt. As the leaders of God's armies, the Seraphs are gifted with great intelligence and charisma. They also have not only "innumerable" Dispel Bound barriers that instantly regenerate, but they each also have a technique that can destroy the eternal atoms of an enemy, erasing them on the physical, astral, and spiritual planes, removing them from cause and effect. The peaceful and serene teacher angel Raphael has a power level of 200,000 and is associated with the element of air. The merciful and compassionate angel Gabriel has a power level of 300,000 and is associated with the element of water. Her crying have the power to nullify the powers of demons, even the anti-angel frequences of void howling. The vindictive righteous warrior leader of the Seraphs, Michael has a power level of 400,000 and is associated with the element of fire. With one of her techniques she can paralyze an enemy before charging at them with a spiritual flame around her to immolate them or can materialize her spirit as a dragon of fire.
This tier also has the 7 Demon Kings, 7 extremely powerful demons associated with the 7 deadly sins. Each 1 has 1 of the 8 pieces of Judas Pain, a jewel derived from the blood and pain of Judas. To use the Judas Pain grants an immense amplification of power, but it causes excruiating pain on the physical, astral, and spiritual plane such that even the Demon Kings are hesistant to use them. 6 of the 7 Demon Kings are in the same general power level as the Seraphs, but the strongest, their leader is Beelzebub with a powerlevel of 1,000,000, a demon with power second only to Satan, known for his quick wit.
So a somewhat similar strategy as last tier can be used, however the defenses of this tier are more excessive as the sheer amount of Dispel Bounds makes it very difficult for ever a character who can hit on an inter-dimensional range and the spiritual plane to get to the Seraph or Demon King beneath, and almost every ability that would be used to counter that are nullifed by the Dispel Bound. Because the only characters on this tier are demons and angels, someone who can manipulate holy/unholy together might have something of an advantage. Also Angels and Demons are massively limited in each others' domain as their spiritual forms can't manifest so dimensional BFR is probably a strong ability.
The tier and in general the angels/demons of the verse have a very specific weakness to cosmic scale frequency/sound manipulation. Konron taking an angel and forcing her song to counteract the frequency of the angel powers completely nullified every attempt the Seraphs made to hurt him, and Gabriel's crying completely reversed that, totally nullifying Konron's powers. Power Nullification in general seems to be a pretty strong ability for the tier, and this basically cheats the character into having it. While you'd still need to have some way around such an excessive defense, having cosmically strong sound/frequency manipulation would allow the counter to completely nullify any attack made against him, which brings me to my first counter for the tier
Scion from Parahumans.
Scion's power is pretty low for the tier, though strong enough that conveying a single idea for itself generated the power of a supernova. Speedwise Scion is far lower than the verse. That said stats would be irrelevant for Scion.
Scion is a cosmic entity aware of the Earth and all versions of it, and has the ability to manipulate physics as a totality like an Amped version of the Powers. In particular Scion is known for the Stilling, a form of power nullification canceling out all wavelengths near it passively which would nullify the attacks of the angels and the demons.
Scion is part of the much larger creature the Warrior Entity, a higher-dimensional entity that created every power in worm. Scion could easily break Dispel Bounds as cauldron subject 3016, was able to create nearly infinite attacks by using every version of himself. At which point he could then use various hax on the Seraphs Due to his ability to affect particles directly, his ability to hit every dimension/universe at once with Flechette's power, and ability to hit the incorporeal Eidolon, Scion may be able to destroy eternal atoms, but even if he can't, the biggest advantage Scion has isn't in a direct fight but in a long-scale conflict using Path to Victory.
Path to Victory is a precognitive ability that looks through every possibility to find and step to success. In the Bastard!! verse this would likely lead Scion to the Adam of Light or the Adam of Darkness before they developed and manipulate them with something like Goddess' compulsion power, basically a way more likely to work version of Satan's actual plan in the manga.
I think he would be able to hit the spirit due to his manipulation of physics and hypothetically causation by hitting every universe, but if he can't, and he's not given any time to prepare, just dropped into a fight with Seraph, they'd probably stalemate for a while though an Augoeides maintaining its form takes way more energy than Scion who can act for 15 years straight without rest. He may also just be able to BFR them into an unfavorable dimension with his dimensional manipulation. That said him not actually being able to destroy eternal atoms might be a problem, as well as the fact that if a Demon learning of his weakness somehow, it would be comically easy to manipulate him with illusions, so a better counter I think would be
Atheros from Magic: The Gathering
Atheros is one of the gods of Theros, meaning he is a living constellation putting him in about the stat range for the tier in both power and speed.
The Gods of Theros are aristolean concepts, with Atheros representing the passage from life to death. While that means victory is hypothetically possible if all mortal things were destroyed from the universe, God ordained that the Adam of Light be born into the world and die as a mortal every 2,000 years, meaning that Atheros would be essentially impossible to permenantly kill for the Seraphs. Atheros is also able to grant the Aegis of the Gods which makes one immune to magical effects even to the level of the other gods, which again means he would be incredibly tanky.
As a God controlling white and black mana, Atheros can summon and control both angels and demons, meaning that assuming he can get past the Dispel Bounds than he absolutely could just take control of the seraphs or demon lords, or just attack the eternal atoms as the Gods have some level of link to the Blind Eternities, the existence erasing space between the universes. Literally being the concept of passing to the afterlife, he should hypothetically be able to BFR a Seraph into Hell or a Demon King out of it.
Now granted while Atheros could summon creatures to fight with him, actually getting through a Dispel Bounds of someone on this level would take a while, so it would be a fittingly slow victory like the passage of time. But for someone who can win faster you can use
Death Phantom from Sailor Moon.
Death Phantom is a black hole that grew to a size that it threatened to absorb the solar system soon, and its explosion at the edge of the solar system looked to be the size of the sun, requiring energy on the level of millions or more supernova, putting him in the same tier as them. He also scales easily to his subordinate Demande who planned on conquering the universe in a single normal human lifespan, and far above the speeds of civilian form Hotaru who traveled to Charon Castle orbiting Pluto in a moment.
Death Phantom's presence affected even spiritual entities like King Endymion's spiritual projection as though they were made of matter and can access different dimensions via hyperspace. Death Phantom uses the power of the Malefic Black Crystal which nullifies all powers and erases things from existence.
However even more than this Death Phantom is known for his space-time manipulation, creating rips in spacetime just from his gravity and creating tears in the distant past. This is important because the Seraphs originated as angels of lesser ranks with Gabriel originally being a baseline rank Angel, Michael originally being an Archangel, and Raphael originally being a Power, meaning they would be far less resistance. If they tried to attack him to stop him, he could simply absorb the energy of their attacks as he did to the holy energy of the Silver Crystal to grow larger and more powerful, or just time travel back where they can't follow him. Death Phantom also has the corruption ability to instantly turn a Seraph into a Devil King. Even without that Death Phantom is basically the smartest character in Sailor Moon, manipulating type 3 supergeniuses like Saphir like pawns.
Death Phantom would likely be able to manipulate especially the Devil Kings and their signature sins while growing in power. If he absorbed a single one, he would gain the power of a Judas Priest segment and become immediatly one the strongest in the tier. Overall he could manipulate those he needs to before erasing, power nullifying, absorbing or just trapping anyone on the tier at the edge of spacetime or within his black hole like a smaller black abyss.
This is the tier of the strongest characters in the series, After Uriel's fall he and his Majin Dark Schneider, Dark Schneider after absorbing 7 of the 8 pieces of the Judas Priest, were stated to be able to destroy the galaxy. Dark Schneider even before was on the tier of the Seraphs before activating the Majin powerup, increasing all his stats and abilities amillion fold. During their fight they became vastly more powerful as Dark Schneider activated the mecha Dragon Knight Lucifer become DKL Dark Schneider and Fallen Uriel's power started to rise until it was stated their power was shaking Hell, its own dimension, Fallen Uriel's power increasing 130 times and then 130 times again, raising in total 16,900 times as strong as it was initially. Satan was still stronger than both DKL Lucifer and Fallen Uriel, Satan's augoeides being stated to be the destroyer of the universe, and it being stated that God created the universe through Satan, strongly implying Satan is universe level. Dark Schneider after his battle with Uriel within the last few chapters gained an additional form beyond that the Adam of Darkness. As this form is called the one closest to God by Raphael, as well as Satan's plan to defeat the Adam of Light requiring the ascension of the Adam of Darkness, many believe the Adam of Darkness is stronger than Satan though the recency of this form makes it hard to tell. As the last tier was thousands to millions of times the speed of light, and the majin form multiplies all stats by millions of times over that would suggest this tier is billions to trillions of times the speed of light which is consistent with Satan being capable of ending the universe in a timespan that can't be that long.
This tier only has a few characters. Uriel was once similar to the other Seraphs, being the Seraph associated with the element of Earth, but after his fall he became far stronger become amped by his negative emotions. As his hatred grew, his hatred for all existence, Uriel's power grew ever stronger. As he and DKL Dark Schneider clashed they destroyed dimensional boundaries between Hell and Earth, and the two also outpaced millions of Dispel Bound barriers throwing hundreds of millions of blows at lightspeed each every second. Uriel is also the one God breathed life into the universe through and so has some life manipulation, and was able to regenerate from being completely erased by Dark Schneider's Judas Pain. During the fight with Dark Schneider he also displayed the ability to create a literal negative space, erasing the space between them. However as he got stronger he lost more and more control with his hatred becoming eventually something akin to a beast lashing out all things.
This tier also has Satan, leader of the Demons. He is known as the absolute destroyer who will bring about the end of the universe, can stop time, and has strong creation to create universes. He also manipulated Dark Schneider's life to bring about the ascension of the Adam of Darkness.
This brings us to the main character himself, and the two Adams. After the fall of mankind, God sent down a soul to be born and die amoung them, a redeemer who will help them atone for their sins every 2,000 years, including Abraham and Jesus known as the Adam of Light. However God was just and appointed to Hell the power to send down an Adam of Darkness to influence them to sin and corruption. This soul is Dark Schneider, who after regaining the pieces of Judas Priest, has attained his newest Adam of Darkness Power. The Adam of Light is man in God's image and so is totally beyond any demon, even Satan's, ability to beat.
So to get into Dark Schneider, he has a LOT of abilities. Basically every cool ability in this manga he has, atomic control of matter, energy manipulation, all forms of elemental manipulation, sealing, existence erasure, soul, mind, and spirit manipulation, low-godly regen, Dispel Bounds, Eternal Atoms. He also with DKL has the bloodstone, a dark magic that created a cursed space with forced empathy where any attack you would do to Dark Schneider, you feel to equal proportionality. Dark Schneider is the Chaotic Evil (with neutral tendencies) Wizard Main Character with basically every magical ability in the series as well as toonforce. When splattered into pieces, every piece became a chibi Dark Schneider which all acted indepenently. As of his new form he's also gained the ability to recreate entities, even angels, out of nothing but his memories of them.
God and some strange entity the Demons worship called the Demon God also technically exist as well but as they haven't personally appeared I'm going to be mostly focusing on the entities listed above.
So what strategies can you use? Well tbh Dark Schneider is an insanely hax character, and in a very well-rounded way, with the others just adding even more difficulty. One thing of note is that Dark Schneider's Judas Pain causes him immense pain to use, though its unknown if this applies to his Adam of Darkness form. Also he's comically arrogant and lusty; the few times he's been shown in a vulnerable state in the manga, it's either because Tia used toonforce to punch him for being perverted and evil, or its been because he's been misled by his arrogance. This seems of note because Satan is also arrogant and Uriel at his strongest is mostly mindless hatred which gives an avenue of attack that doesn't even need to get past Dispel Bounds, the manipulater type strategy.
Outside this, something I noted was that a lot of the attacks in the Dark Schneider vs Uriel battle, and indeed most of the high tier fights were at relatively speaking "close-range." While the characters were massive and their battles were covering areas mountains, countries and continents, that's not that large for their power level. Even Satan the destroyer of the universe was attacking individual planets and star systems at a time. I think the characters for the most part might not have a very large area of effect.
Combined with the lack of offensive conceptual type powers, I think a good strategy might be a universal spanning aristolean concept type character, I think it would be relatively hard for the verse to kill one of those.
So who would be a good counter, well the first one I would suggest is
Asha from Heroes of Might and Magic.
Asha battled her brother Urgash in the primordial genesis, creating the universe making her comparable to someone like Satan in terms of raw power. Asha represents the cosmic order, destiny itself. Surprisingly looking at the long list of things that Dispel Bounds protects against, destiny manipulation doesn't fall under of them as long as it isn't magic or reality-warping. Asha's destiny manipulation isn't reality-warping or magic, she just represents the natural harmony that arises and determines things.
Asha is also known to the Necromancers as the Spider Goddess, her cunning and manipulation venetrated as schemer that determines things, suggesting she may be able to manipulate the fighters of this tier, and granted powers to all 6 of the elements including the Holy/Light powers of the angels, suggesting she may be able to use it against the tier, though that much would probably be stopped by Dispel Bounds.
That said Asha can and has granted power unto mortals with enlightenment so they may rise to the rank of one of the primordial dragons, universal aristolean concepts, her children. With this if need be she could uplift people to help break the Dispel Bounds if she had too, though mostly she would likely just wait in the background manipulating events with patience and the spider's cunning webs. Even if she was discovered, the tier would have a hard time destroying her, as one would need to destroy the order of the universe, and the destiny of all things but Dark Schneider has a destiny as the Adam of Darkness and as he acts in his arrogant lusty way he affirms that destiny.
Granted maybe you think destiny manipulation falls under magic or instant victory and so should be defended against by Dispel Bounds. Another counter you could use
Getter Emperor from Getter Robo
Getter Emperor is a massively powerful entity, just its original combination shook the universe and after absorbing a single planet it was able to induce the power of the Big Bang, let alone it growing to a size greater than a galaxy, giving it speed on par with the tier and power far beyond it.
Getter Emperor is a mecha larger than a galaxy, when the largest area of effect in Bastard!! so far is the Judas Pain being stated to destroy a galaxy, meaning it would probably be hard for anyone in the verse to hit all of Getter at once. Getter Emperor's represents the constant of evolution, all things convering towards a pinnacle. It absorbs matter, energy, souls, spacetime itself, all the way up to the universe into itself, and its getter rays can cross time to control the fundamental laws of reality.
A battle between Getter Emperor and say Satan would actually be really cool. Neither can easily hurt each other, with Satan existing on a spiritual plane of being that Getter Emperor can't easily hit, but Satan not being able to get past GE absorbing Satan's attacks let alone durability/size. Such would be similar for Dark Schneider though Dark Schneider may be able to get around GE's attacks using Bloodstone's Forced Empathy.
That said Getter Emperor I think could probably counter the verse due primarily to intelligence, with the Emperor being an entity implied to have an omniscient understanding of the universe using its getter rays to guide the cosmos. I believe Getter Emperor if it absorbed the beginning of the universe again, it would evolve the spiritual plane power as the beginning of the universe in Bastard!! involved the manipulation of a massive amount of spiritual energy, and it would use it to outwit someone like Dark Schneider to defend humanity's evolution.
That said maybe you think it's an NLF for Getter Emperor who can assimilate times and spaces themselves, to evolve spiritual powers. I strongly disagree but I believe the strongest counter to the verse would be
Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia.
Aslan casually created the universe of Narnia by roaring and singing, and has domain over Aslan's country a higher plane presiding over Narnia, giving him a power advantage (casual universal creation vs universal creation of unknown difficulty). He is omnipresent.
Aslan is a wise character that knows all that will occur, a level of precog signifigantly above the verse and could likely use that to manipulate the verse's fighters. His singing can nullify wicked magic just as it can reality warp the universe, like the power tears of Gabriel power but stronger.
Aslan's country is a conceptual realm that Aslan presides over, that makes the normal world appear as shadows too, suggesting a level of conceptual manipulation that the Bastard!! verse hasn't shown, and he would be extremely difficult to kill as he can resurrect (he is literally Jesus in-universe), and can nullify evil magicks. Even the bloodstone could be hypothetically nullified this way. He has also granted animacy to the stars and to Father Time the concept of time before, suggesting he could summon more allies than the verse would have defenders.
Overall Aslan would bring love and justice to a world brought to devastation, being able to nullify the dark powers with his song and conceptual manipulation, and would be practically impossible to kill or harm.
And that's how to be OP in the Bastard!!-verse
I Loved this Blog Imp, and I actually think its one your most engaging and clever Verse Strategy Guide's to date. BASTARD!! is one of the classically broken anime series from the early days of Verses Debating, while It isn't the most unstoppable verse in any of the categories that make verses broken, its Very well rounded in all of them, having Bizarre Stat combinations, Higher Plane Hax, and MASSIVE Amounts of Ability Scaling that made threats absolutely busted. But i think its interesting how they apparently were so busy getting super advanced powers that they ended up falling short on covering their bases on comparatively more simple powers like Invisibility, Illusions and Time Reversal actually getting Really Far in this series. That makes things really interesting.
ReplyDeleteEvery single one of these Tiers had insane powers and characters that shocked me several times, There were Potent abilities I expected from this like Eternal Atoms and Dispel Bounds which I knew from how infamously OP they are in fiction, but still the verse had several other deadly powers I didn't see coming like being able to break the 4th wall being common place, and how Useless it seems like Magic would be to use. So needless to say you had your work cut out for you when Countering.
I had confidence you could do it but DAMN did you ever rise to the occasion! I Loved your Counters, Every Single one of them, SOOOO Much this time! Even the ones I didn't know were incredibly Clever at numerous points. I loved really smart Calls you made like how Quicksand Man couldnt be turned to stone because technically hes already made of stone, or how Manchester could stop literally anyone from finding out hes the one attacking them, or how all these Arestolian concept characters would essentially be immortal here due to Adam being unkillable in the long term,, and numerous other genius stratigies all together. Your Picks made each character sound amazing, like how Persus from Greek Mythology, actually sounds like a badass anime protagonist the way you talk about him and his aresnel, or how you actually made the Narnia verse sound extremely Awesome and OP, which you did before talking about the Witch, and now you did again with the Jesus Lion, (I Expect the Wardrobe next :P) But my favorites were characters like Aquamarine and Double ofcourse. You did an AMAZING Job analyzing those two and I was extremely impressed and was SOOOO Absolutely happy because I love both of them a lot and am glad to see them shine so brightly in a verse this strong, but more importantly, I am ahppy because I higlighted these characters in my blogs, and thats why you knew them and picked them, and that makes me feel like I made a difference. So for that, Thank You!
Bastard!! seems ridiculous in the best of ways, and I am having fun learning more about it through this blog and your Riders of Havoc blog. This verse seems like the mangaka took everything he thought was even slightly cool and stuffed it in a manga. We have anti-magic abilities, biological manipulation, matter manipulation, higher plane characters, petrification, ki users, various forms of technology manipulation, and even Fourth Wall Awareness, alongside a whole bunch of other things. With that being said, It was interesting to see how far characters could go with using invisibility and other stealth strategies.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see a Chalkzone character here but it was really fun to see how he would be completely busted on a Local Scale in the verse. I especially like the point that his chalk physiology would probably be a defense against the verse's petrification. Perseus was also cool to see; I wouldn’t have guessed he would have been a good counter against a verse with powers as flashy as this one, but that was pretty neat. Magicka seems like a relatively similar magical setting to Bastard!! So I’m glad you were able to include a character from that game as a counter. I thought it was really cool to see Aslan as a counter, especially considering how drastically different kind of fantasy world that Narnia is, both tonally and otherwise. Honestly, all the counters in this blog are really cool, have a nice amount of variety to them, and are well thought out, as usual.
So fantastic job Imp!
