With that said, let's go over the two fighters a little.
Selece is one of the Three Mashin, ancient spirits that have defended the magical land of Cephiro from the greatest crisis since the beginning of time. When the greatest crisis appears, the three emerge appearing as 3 Mecha, the 3 Rune Gods. Until that time the 3 lie dormant in their environments. Rayearth the rune god of fire, resides in a volcano. Windam, the rune god of wind, resides in a floating island temple. Selece, the rune god of water, resides underwater. They are comparable to each other in power.
Poseidon is one of the three sons of Cronos and Rhea and a god of the Olympian generation. When the Olympians overthrew the godly generation before them, the Titans, in the Titanomachy the three brothers divided the cosmos between them. Zeus, by far the strongest, got control of the sky and the universe at large. Hades got control of the Underworld and Poseidon got control of the seas.
So what would happen if these two fought? While I don't think it would be a complete stomp, I think Poseidon would win fairly definitively, and I think this for 3 general reasons.
1: Better Abilities
Both Selece and Poseidon have the ability to manipulate water to the potency of their level, this is the limit to Selece's manipulation abilities outside of very limited ice and wind manipulation. Poseidon has a godly ability to manipulate earth as well as water, as noted by how he shook the earth purely by clenching his fist. He has similar abilities to manipulate ice and wind as Selece, and he can also manipulate lightning (which Selece absolutely can not do as it is Rayearth's domain) with enough potency as to be threatening to those on his level. This gives Poseidon advantages in range and versatility that Selece would have difficulty to match.
Both can fly and Poseidon's plague creation would likely not work on on a Rune God given their true nature as a Spiritual Entity so there's no real advantage there.
Both also have summoning abilities. Selece can summon a Water Dragon to fight alongside him at will, while Poseidon can summon his Hippocampi. To be honest I'm not exactly sure which is a bigger advantage. I think the Water Dragon being comparable to Selece himself in strength should be more powerful to some measure, but the Hippocampi can be summoned in groups while Selece can only create 1 Water Dragon at a time. The Hippocampi are at least strong enough to significantly harm Gaia so they should be at least of significant power to Selece and the Water Dragon.
The only other ability Selece really has is the minor healing factor of the Rune Gods, but not only is that not a really important factor but the Olympian Gods arguably have a superior one. Beyond that Poseidon has several abilities which while probably not hugely game-changing in this fight would still be helpful like enhanced senses, teleportation, and shapeshifting (technically Selece also has shapeshifting but only between 2 forms; the Draconic Form and the Rune God Mecha Form and only the latter is used in combat)
2: Speed:
While Selece and Poseidon are in the same speed bracket, Poseidon is in so far more casually and more tiers above the baseline.
Selece is FTL based on scaling from the spaceships of the other worlds capable of flying inter-planetary distances to attack Cephiro. While Selece did get stronger after this, the amount this increased his speed, if any, is completely unknown.
Conversely in God of War lightspeed capabilities are as low down the general power rankings as to be held by the "Twins" Castor and Pollux beings far far below Poseidon. Poseidon is arguably mftl given that Helios was able to regularly beat Nyx the primordial, and the primordials are mftl just from sheer size. That said you could argue the speed doesn't scale since you don't theoretically have to be as fast as someone to just be to outside their league powerwise. If Helios' power is just irresistibly to Nyx, which it seems to be based on her losing everytime, then he doesn't need to be as fast as her to defeat her. Even so, Poseidon would still seem to have the speed advantage just based on the magnitude of the difference between Poseidon and the Twins, versus Selece being at the same speed level of FTL opponents, and then getting stronger in a way that affects his speed unquantifiably.
3: Sheer Power
While I consider these two to have the same "level" as it were in dc/durability, one of them seems to me to be clearly much higher in that bracket, similar to speed.
In Magic Knight Rayearth there exists the God Mokona, a whimsical creature that creates universes out of nothing. Mokona engaged in a battle of power with Rayearth, and Rayearth was losing though putting up a struggle. That said Selece and Windam aided Rayearth and the three together overpowered the power of even Mokona. That means Mokona is at most 3 times as strong as Selece, likely much less as Rayearth alone was contending with Mokona, and Selece is comparable in power to Rayearth.
In contrast, in the God of War Universe, when Uranus died he created the universe. It is unknown to what degree of casual-ness this is compared to the whimsical God Mokona creating the universe out of nothing. Assuming they are similar let us continue from that point. Cronos overthrew his father Uranus, Atlas is slightly stronger then Cronos, Hades overpowered Atlas while he was weaker in the past, and Poseidon is comparable or slightly stronger then Hades.
Unless Mokona's feat is deemed much more powerful then Uranus', the chain of power would suggest Poseidon is higher in the universal power bracket then Selece, as if the two feats are comparable what you would have is Poseidon>~Hades>Past Hades>Atlas>Cronos>Uranus~Mokona>~Selece. I could see argument that Mokona would be a bit higher then Uranus as Mokona is a whimsical creature that probably didn't put much effort into creating the universe, that said I think without evidence one certainly can't conclude that he is that much stronger.
As I said I don't think this means it would be a stomp for Poseidon, I think Selece would give Poseidon difficulty certainly, but I think definitively the winner would be Poseidon due to greater range, versatility, and comparable to greater speed and power.
