Death Prediction: Yuuko Ichihara vs Sailor Pluto

This cosmos in all it's dark depths and mysteries has long drawn the curious human mind. It's multi-dimensional spacetime carries such magnitude and majesty that it would seem mind-boggling that it might need protecting. But when it does these two immortal magic-wielders stand at the brink of existence and non-existence, preserving the domains of place and event.

Yuuko Ichihara, the dimension witch.

Sailor Pluto, the sailor guardian of spacetime.

I am Imperator100 and this is a death prediction.

In days lost to the mist of time lived a powerful witch, her true name no longer known to the world. She was visited by the creator god of another dimension known as Divine Mokona (Page 15) from which she learned of alternate dimensions and inter-dimensional travel and began to explore their greater multiverse. By her side was Clow Reed, the greatest sorcerer in the multiverse. The two had a close bond.

However the witch was still a mortal witch and eventually succumbed to death. Clow Reed in despair made a fleeting wish to see her open her eyes one more time (Page 15) and, so great was the power of Clow Reed, that the laws of the multiverse was suspended for a moment and she was suspended between life and death. Clow's Magic took a life of it's own and became the wizard Fei Wang Reed, (Page 10) who wished above all things to succeed where his creator failed, and destroy the multiverse, laws and all to resurrect the witch. To preserve every dimension, the witch took the false identity of Yuuko Ichihara and began a great game with Fei Wang Reed for control of the multiverse, gathering power, knowledge and allies.

Physical State:
Because of the spell of Clow Reed, Yuuko was separated from time and the dimensions (Page 7), and is now eternally in a static state outside conventional existence, having no future observing the present from afar. (Pages 63-65)

While Yuuko does not ACTUALLY experience space-time, she does appear in the worlds of space and time appearing too experience space-time. Yuuko has interacted, interacts with and will interact at once with the universes with her physical body though her she is unaffected by spacetime. An example of this was when the Wizard Fei Wang Reed destroyed the multiverse, all space and time (Pages 1-3) Yuuko remained unaffected amidst the gap in spacetime (Page 19)

Yuuko's physical form accomplishes much of her actual feats. Within the perspective of space and time, it can move very fast. CLAMP Mid Tiers have a huge amount of lightning-timing feats from the likes of The Dragons of Heaven, Yasha-ou, and Arc 1 Sakura. There's also beings made of pure lightning like The Thunder Clow Card and Inouva the Lightning Element that the Magic Knights battled. Yuuko as one of the top tiers should easily scale. Beyond that Yuuko and Clow Reed together created the two Mokona Larg and Soel, and Larg can move fast enough with his Saint Seiya reference technique to send 100,000,000 texts in a second (Page 7) and Yuuko should likely be able to reach said speed as his creator.

The average text length is 7 words long. The average typing speed is 38 words per minute which translates to 0.6333... words per second. To produce 100,000,000 texts in 1 second, averaging 7 words would require speeds approximately 1,100,000,000 times the speed of a normal human. Average human walking speed is 1.4 meters, to multiply that by 1,100,000,000 would give speeds of 1,540,000,000 meters per second of ~ 5.137 times the speed of light.

Reality-Warping:
Yuuko is a mage, a being who warps reality with the power of their magic. Her magic is so great that it is can compete even with the great wizard Fei Wang Reed, a gradual threat to the multiverse. To harm Syaoran, Fei Wang Reed prophesied that the alternate reality version of Syaoran known as Watanuki (after Syaoran removed himself from time) would suffer and his parents would died. But when Fei Wang Reed threatened Watanuki (Page 7), Yuuko protected the child from Fei Wang Reed's power (Page 8). As this seemed to be a mental space, Yuuko seemed to enter a mental space which is consistent. Yuuko can enter others dreams at will (Pages 21-22). To protect them, she brought her magic shop and the soul of Sakura into the dream world (Page 19). She can do this as she is a lunar-associated mage as said by the alternate Yukito, bearer of the soul Yue The Moon Clow Guardian (Page 52). Lunar-associated mages are stronger in the lunar-associated times (like night) and weaker in the solar-associated times (like day), and often have powers involving dreams like Yue as well as The Sleep and The Dream Clow Cards. As xxxholic takes place in the same dimension as Tokyo Babylon it's likely Yuukoh as similar dream-rewriting powers as Kotori Monou and Princess Hinoto.

Yuuko's reality-warping is usually seen in her famed wish-granting. Fai claims that Yuuko's wish shop is a place where any wish can be granted (Page 28). This shows that Yuuko's power is greater then Fai's even with both of his eyes, something confirmed later (Page 7). Fai's power was so great as to collapse a dimension without him even meaning too (Page 6). Worlds and Dimensions in CLAMP are whole universes as Mokona when talking about the creation of the Earth calls it the universe, talks of it's rules different from Cephiro and depicts the solar system (Page 147)

Reality-Warping: Creation
Yuuko can use her reality-warping to shape matter-energy, creating from nothing (Pages 18-19). Yuuko's favorite thing to create is artificial butterflies which can be used to track (Page 2) as the butterfly is Yuuko's symbol (Page 27). As stated earlier Yuuko and Clow Reed created the Mokona Modoki, Soel and Larg in the image of the Divine Mokona (Page 25). As easily Yuuko can create, she can dematerialize, able to dematerialize matter with just a touch (Page 16). She is able to transmute, even famously turning people into Gods one of which being Ashura. The Ashura are Gods of War, of fire and destruction whose sole purpose is to destroy the world (Page 182), gods of absolute destruction that would destroy Heaven or Earth (Page 152). Ashura was going to destroy all of Tenkai, the dimension of Heaven (Page 76), a dimension with "limitless land" (Page 7). Yuuko could bestow that level of power. Watanuki claimed Yuuko could using eye contact turn a person to stone though may have been joking (Page 9). Yuuko has animation, able to grant life to matter, such as making snowmen come to life for a snowball fight.

Reality-Warping: Techniques
Beyond that Yuuko has a few other forms of magic. She is proficient in name magic, magic of gaining information in names and imbuing objects with the meaning of names (Page 19). With this she was able to make a baseball bat act like a legendary sword (Zantetsuken) and cut through a computer with a slice (Pages 20-21). Her speech is magical and she can use word magic (Page 21) which can be used to manipulate actions or warp reality like causing a person to bleed (Page 15). She can cast illusions, even creating a giant illusion of herself in Fei Wang Reed's dimension (Page 13). Finally a fortune teller on Yuuko's level can grant additional luck (Pages 16-17)

Barriers:
Yuuko like most clamp mages have natural auto-barriers that protect herself when physically threatened (Page 8), capable of protecting her own general level of power or higher (Clone Sakura and Clone Syaoran's shields protected from the magic of Fei Wang Reed despite being weaker them him)

Yuuko can also set up a "kekkai" barrier (Page 12) making her shop undetectable to those that don't need it. As Yuuko exists in the same universe as x/1999 this likely scales to the kekkai dimension creation of the Dragons of Heaven with a radius of 3 kilometers. She was also able to set up a spiritual ward to keep spirits at bay (Page 17). Using word magic any single word can become a ward against spiritual entities (Page 12).

Soul Manipulation:
While she doesn't like to do it, Yuuko can affect souls including grabbing one. Yuuko can also take parts of souls (Page 28). Yuuko can take part of the soul with just knowledge of the name of the entity in question (Page 15). As different versions of the same entity share the same soul, this can technically be used to soul steal every possible version of a character (Page 16).

Yuuko's best soul manipulation feat was when Syaoran and Sakura's souls were severed from their bodies, Yuuko managed to return the souls of Sakura and Syaoran across spacetime...it's kind of confusing (Pages 8-10)

Magic Manipulation:
Like all Clamps Mages, Yuuko has an innate level of magic resistance comparable to her level of magic power (such as when Eriol's magic caused all the non-magical people in the city to fall asleep in Cardcaptor Sakura but the magical beings were unaffected) as well as a level of magical sensing. Even the Collector Spirit who was able to maintain a mansion where one room was a dimension that was it's own universe, could do absolutely nothing to Yuuko was easily defeated. Yuuko was even able to act after being transmuted into a picture as if nothing happened.  Yuuko was even able to withstand a direct blast from Fei Wang Reed (Pages 11-12)

However Yuuko has another feat of magic manipulation. Yuuko transferred a magical effect afflicting Doumeki to Watanuki (Page 27)

Spacetime Manipulation:
As the dimension witch, Yuuko is very proficient at manipulating spacetime. Outside of just creating inter-dimensional tunnels because she doesn't want to talk to Ginza, Yuuko is the most skilled dimensional traveler in the CLAMP multiverse, as it is said only Yuuko could send many people to many dimensions. As time travels at different rates in different universe (Page 5) this can be especially useful to force things to experience more or less time at a different rate. She can also flat-out time travel (Page 23)

Yuuko has more powerful and complex forms of spacetime manipulation. As mentioned earlier she can create dimensions which she used to good effect when the wizard Fai D Flowright, who was cursed to attack anyone with more power then him near him, had to appear before her. To protect herself she created a dimension around the Magic Shop so she could communicate with Fai, Syaoran and Kurogane without being spatially near them (Page 7)

Yuuko can also cause time itself to flow backwards or separate a space from time (Page 12)

Maru and Moro:
Short for Marudashi and Morodashi. Creations of and assistants to Yuuko who loyally serve their mistress. Yuuko can sense through Marudashi and Morodashi and communicate through them (Page 9). As they are artificial humans, they lack souls and cannot leave the Magic Shop (Page 7)

Magic Shop:
Yuuko's home and the place she sells wishes. She created this place after saving the souls of Sakura and Syaoran to hide them from Fei Wang Reed until the day she could return their souls to them (Pages 3-4). The store both exists in a place but does not exist in that place, only enterable to those who need it (Page 53). Yuuko can force the shop to exist in a certain place, even while literally dying (Page 8).

Yuuko's shop has a storeroom where she hid the souls of Sakura and Syaoran as well as some more of her extremely powerful items. This is where the Mokona Modoki were before they were revealed but in terms of actual useable objects there are communicators, a monkey's paw which can grant wishes but also causes misfortune and massive bad luck, accessories that boost or seal magic power, several swords including Kurogane's Ginryuu (Silver Dragon), Hikaru's Escudo sword, a stuffed toy resembling Kero's sealed form, and an urn containing a portal to the spirit world, Sakura Kinomoto's sealing wand (Page 5) and also a toy version of the sealing wand that flashes and makes sounds (Pages 45-46)

Mental Capacity:
Yuuko is a fortune teller and a master tier at it. It is said Yuuko knows information from the material, celestial and heavenly worlds (Page 25). Yuuko is skilled at face and palm reading (Page 7). Yuuko is skilled in Seimeihandan, the skill of knowing someone's life path just from their name (Page 14-15). She is knowledgeable of astrology (Page 11) and can tell a person's life path from their birthday (Page 15). It should be noted Fortune-Telling is sensitive to natural events, and can be interfered with by outside forces, or can be strengthened by outside events (Page 6).

Beyond this, Yuuko has incredibly precise and encompassing visions of the future as Clow Reed did (Page 5). She knew she would meet Clone Sakura and Syaoran (Page 48) and that she would someday need to give her life to save Sakura (Page 14). She and Clow both even knew that the paradoxical child Watanuki who should not have existed would be a good kid (Page 71)

Yuuko's awareness extends beyond her senses. She knew that Sakura's power scattered to many different worlds (Page 6) and sensed Fei Wang Reed's distortions to the multiverse. Spiritually aware people like Yuuko are able to see sins manifest as black smoke (Page 54). She can also react to extremely fast phenomena. She should scale to Clone Sakura and Clone Syaoran used as mere pawns in her game with Fei Wang Reed. Clone Sakura and Clone Syaoran were able to protect Original Sakura and Original Syaoran (Pages 6-8). As Fei Wang Reed's magic can easily span universes, this likely requires reflexes quadrillions of times the speed of light.

Yuuko is also even ignoring all that possessing of a vast superhuman intellect from her immortal existence, able to fool the plans of Fei Wang Reed on several occasions and able to hide Sakura and Syaoran from Fei Wang Reed from untold years. In the CD Drama, Yuuko even managed to prank Clow Reed with his godly fortune-telling ability.

Weaknesses:
Yuuko may be the great witch of dimensions but she's got a lot of flaws. Like most CLAMP mages she's actually relatively squishy against non-magical things that get past her shields. Also like most CLAMP mages she has no ability to bring someone back to life (Page 7) and not even her great reality-warping power can bring herself back to life (Page 82). Also all magic, even Clow Reed's magic or Yuuko's magic weakens over time and will eventually end (Page 6)

Yuuko's fortune telling and vision of the future can be clouded. Most notably it is taboo for any fortune-teller, Yuuko included to predict their own future. (Page 6). It is also famously hard to predict the heart, especially feelings of love, to the point not even the great Clow Reed could truly predict love. On an individual level, Yuuko is also personally bound by the restriction that she can not only do anything for another person without a price exactly equal to the value of the thing given. At Watanuki's birthday party she was unable to give him anything against her will (Pages 13-15). Additionally Yuuko only exists because of Clow Reed's spell suspended her in time and should the spell be broken and she finally moves forward in time, she will disappear.

Also Yuuko does not want to kill, as to kill burdens the killer for their rest of life (Page 30). And for all her intelligence and age, Yuuko acts very flighty and immature at times, such as demanding sake for all her meals. She's also total wimp to heat (Page 8)

Personality:
Yuuko's catchphase is "there is no coincidence, only inevitability". Yuuko views the universe as an unchanging present, which likely explains her casual laid-back attitude. Yuuko is mysterious but informal, interested in the universe but only ever getting involved when it approaches her. Most of her joys in life are things like sake, slides, and playing mischief. She has a unpredictable temperament, and often likes doing surprising things for the fun of it. She is also very pragmatic such as when she wanted a wish that could be gotten by winning a snowball fight, she brought the other "players" out without explaining to them and had them create their own snowman to fight for them without explaining that was their purpose, and even having hers created beforehand and getting outside help. She indeed often uses trickery to get her way.

However for all that, Yuuko is also a more compassionate person then she lets on. When she finally meets Sakura and Syaoran Yuuko expresses to them her regret for what grief she and Clow have caused them (Pages 7-8) and as she was vanishing away, she expressed to her beleaguered servant Watanuki that he was a very important person to her and her final wish is for him to continue existing (Pages 79-86). Yuuko is the Big Chaotic Good of the CLAMP Multiverse, the best defense against the great manipulator Fei Wang Reed.

Long long ago, there was a great kingdom spanning the solar system called the Silver Millennium. Born to this kingdom, was a little girl with the blood of the Time God Chronos. It fell to this demigoddess of time to protect the spacetime door. She was counted among the Outer Senshi, guardians of the solar system from external threats and forbidden from leaving her assigned zone guarding the spacetime door. Because of it's danger, time is off-limits to be manipulated, and so Sailor Pluto was stationed to guard the door of spacetime. There Sailor Pluto had to remain in complete isolation, time being so dangerous a weapon that even knowledge of Sailor Pluto or time travel was forbidden. This was the mournful fate of Sailor Pluto, Keeper of the Time Door, Guardian of the Underworld. It was painful, especially watching the downfall of the Silver Millennium without being able to do anything to help but the Outer Senshi, including Pluto would think of the noble queen and princess of the moon be reassured.

Physical State:
Sailor Pluto is a Sailor Senshi, and as a Sailor Senshi is vastly superhumanly strong and durable. Another Sailor Senshi, Usagi Tsukino, in her second arc civilian state was able to walk around slightly impaired on Planet Nemesis despite Nemesis being a black hole having superintense gravity. Setsuna is also under the protection of the auspicious of the Moon as a member of Crystal Tokyo. People under the protection of the moon gain agelessness and eternal youth (likely explaining how Setsuna could guard the spacetime door for thousands and thousands of years). Also the original people of the Moon which would include Setsuna were able to colonize the planets of the solar system like Venus and naturally survive their harsh conditions like strong or weak gravity, lack of oxygen, sulfuric acids burning or freezing temperatures etc.

Sailor Pluto is also naturally exists outside spacetime, existing in the gap between space and time. The spacetime corridor is in the space between times and in the original Japanese materials collection it is repeated that she is the guardian of the underworld existing between times.

Sailor Pluto can move at ftl speeds. Even in civilian form, she scales to civilian Hotaru who flew to Charon Castle orbiting Pluto in the time it takes to point. Even Silver Millennium Base Senshi are comparable to Prince Demande who could conquer every planet in the universe in the span of a natural human lifespan, likely billions to trillions of times the speed of light.

As an Eternal Sailor Senshi, Sailor Pluto should be superior to complete rookie Eternal Sailor Senshi the Amazon Senshi who were able to casually fly to the galaxy cauldron in moments requiring casual movement speed of billions of times the speed of light as well as move around before the lambda power which reset the entire universe left the galaxy cauldron at the center of the galaxy, requiring speeds of quadrillions of times the speed of light.

Planet Power:
Sailor Senshi use stellar energies to accomplish their feats, called "planet power". Sailor Senshi can naturally sense and emanate these energies though some Senshi like the Outer Senshi can hide their energy. Sailor Senshi's planet power can rise in the age that their guardian star is exalted in.

The most basic usage of Planet Power is "Henshin" used for transforming the Sailor Senshi from civilian state to her transformed state. This can be used to even transport across dimensions and can be used to teleport across dimensions with other people. While the Guardian Senshi henshin teleportation seems a bit imprecise, the Outer Senshi are much more skilled soldiers, and were able to teleport with precision from Earth to near their planetary castles. For Pluto teleporting to Charon Castle orbiting Pluto this is at minimum a distance of 4,280,000,000 kilometers away. They were also able to teleport with precision to the area of the Snow Kaguya, a comet at a distant point in the solar system.  The Henshin can do more then teleport however. In addition to transforming, the henshin can restore the Senshi and destroy afflicting negative effects, with the greater the henshin energy, the greater rejuvenation. A henshin into Super Form restored Usagi and Chibiusa to their proper ages and despite the Eclipse of Nehelenia nullifying the normal henshin of the Sailor Senshi, preventing them from transformation, a super henshin broke through the power nullification.

But Planet Power is used for more then just transforming. Planet Power can be used to project energy as an attack (which can hit spiritual entities or be used to cause someone to fade from existence) or used for the auto-shields that Sailor Senshi have. Planet Power can also be infused into objects to supercharge them with planet power and allow for creation of new attacks based on the object's properties as Minako did to Mosquito Repellent and Usagi and Chibiusa did to Kaleidoscopes. Outer Senshi like Haruka can also use their planet power to suppress or nullify energy like she did to help control Hotaru's simulation of the solar system.

Base Sailor Pluto's forcefield of planet power was strong enough to protect against the attack of by far the strongest of the Witches V, Cyprine. A witch less then half the level of Cyprine, Telulu, mocked the attack of Third Arc Sailor Moon as pitiful. Sailor Moon in the second arc was able to contribute half the energy needed to destroy Planet Nemesis, a Black Hole Planet so large that even at the edge of the solar system, it's explosion was the size of the sun in the sky and which claimed to be able to imminently absorb the solar system. This feat has got calced at generally anywhere from the MegaFoe to TeraFoe range suggesting that the feat would be somewhere between low galactic to galactic level, requiring millions to trillions of supernova worth of energy. And while it did endanger them and reverted them to civilian form, the Outer Senshi including Sailor Pluto withstood an attack from Princess Snow Kaguya. The same Kaguya created the nebula that created the solar system. By itself this would already be a multi-stellar feat, but SM uses the archaic term for nebula and in the third arc it was used for the Tau Nebula which is also stated to be a galaxy which is also shown to be a spiral galaxy like the milky way galaxy

But this is merely her BASE form. The Taioran Crystal even in a weaker state was stronger then Cyprine, yet Super Sailor Moon's HENSHIN energy was tens of thousands of times the energy of the Taioran Crystal at it's PEAK which Super Sailor Moon suffered no recoil damage from. The Other Super Sailor Senshi should likely have forcefields and energy projections above Super Sailor Moon's Henshin energy, especially the Outer Senshi which are stronger then Sailor Moon in base forms.

Eternal Sailor Pluto is even stronger in planet power to the point that Galaxia attacked her herself rather then sending down one of her minions as she usually did. One of Galaxia's minions, Sailor Tin Nyanko was able to threaten Eternal Sailor Moon with her attacks. Bear in mind Fifth Arc Usagi in her civilian form was able to tank power greater then any of her prior enemies including Queen Nehelenia who maintained her own dark universe.

Stellar Protection:
As a Sailor Senshi, Sailor Pluto is the avatar of a deity. As such, Sailor Pluto carries the protection of the heavenly lights. Setsuna herself bears the protection of the Underworld Star, Pluto. This was seen when Setsuna was nearly killed before being awoken, and so she was automatically awoken as a Sailor Senshi. In practice bearing Stellar Protection gives massive protection against haxes.

Transmutation Resistance: Queen Metaria turned the moon kingdom to stone, yet First Arc Sailor Moon survived within her. Pharaoh 90 was able to convert a large section of the Earth into black lava yet Super Sailor Moon survived within it.

Freezing Resistance: Sailor Senshi are meant to withstand the cold of the vacuum. Kunzite had city-scale freezing yet Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus withstood his attack. Kaguya can casually freeze a planet and planned to keep the universe eternally frozen, even her breath being able to freeze an ocean. Yet the Outer Senshi were not frozen in their battle with her.

Death Manipulation: Sailor Saturn's attack which brings death to all entities did not kill the Sailor Senshi

Mind Resistance: Dark Agency Member Pandora could brainwash a whole country, yet Minako was barely affected. Lin-Lin was able to brainwash all of China, yet Sailor V was completely unaffected. Metaria three times brainwashed all of humanity (1, 2, 3) yet Sailor Moon was unaffected from it inside her.

Spirit Manipulation: The Planet Power of the Sailor Senshi can hit spiritual entities yet Sailor Moon tanks the planet power of 4 Sailor Senshi in the first arc

Spacetime Manipulation:

Sailor Pluto guards the order of this place from her spacetime door, with which she can use to time travel to any point. The Door is a sacred land and magically imbued. It can change change it's position appearing at times on Pluto, at times on the Earth, and at times on the Moon. However an enemy can not use the door's power against Sailor Pluto as outside Pluto and those she grants access too, only those of the Silver Millennium Lineage can use the Spacetime Door. Sailor Pluto can use her technique "Dark Dome Close" to seal a spacetime forever in the Spacetime Door, including whole dimensions

Sailor Pluto can use her famed Time Keys to travel around spacetime more conveniently. Time Keys allow for time travel and can even bring people to the spacetime interval. They also function as communicators. Sailor Pluto typically carries several of them.

However Setsuna's control of energy and spacetime extend further beyond this, vested in the sacred object known as her talisman.

Talisman-Garnet Orb:
Recall how I said Outer Senshi were granted stronger powers "and stronger items" then the Guardian Senshi? The Outer Senshi were each given 1 item known as a talisman. Setsuna's is the Garnet Orb atop her staff.

The Talisman grants Setsuna a far greater access to her power. The Lights of the Three Talismans are so bright that the Guardian Senshi are not even visible in comparison. The Talismans are implied to hide the power of Super Sailor Moon and have enough power to slay The Goddess of Destruction Sailor Saturn. The Talismans were able to boost the Outer Senshi's forcefields to be strong enough that Pharaoh 90 could not break out of them. When Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn were controlled by Galaxia, the power of the Garnet Orb and the Silence Glaive together were enough to harm Sailor Chibi-Chibi, the disguised Sailor Cosmos, who held the same power as Eternal Sailor Moon and was able to stop an attack from Sailor Galaxia who wielded the ultimate force of destruction.

The Garnet Orb gives Sailor Pluto the ability to temporally and dimensionally bfr other entities from another dimension, as she was bring  Diana at the spacetime door to her on Earth. The Power of the Talismans was also strong enough to summon Sailor Saturn and to jam the fortune-telling of Kaorinite

Sailor Pluto also uses the Garnet Orb to access her actual attack techniques. Sailor Pluto's main attack is "Dead Scream" a violet ball of dark energy. Base Sailor Pluto's Dead Scream harmed second arc Sailor Moon and destroyed Telulu who tanked Third Arc Sailor Moon's attack. As an Eternal Sailor Senshi should be superior to Eternal Sailor Jupiter's attack which threatened Eternal Sailor Moon.

She can use "Garnet Ball" to create a forcefield against soul-stealing attacks, defending against Mistress 9's soul-stealing attack.

Sailor Pluto can also use her attack technique "Chronos Typhoon" which calls forth the winds of the spacetime corridor in a mini typhoon. The Chronos Typhoon and Submarine Reflection attacks together undid the witchcraft of Kaorinite reviving and maintaining the Witches V and cursing the Guardian Senshi. The Chronos Typhoon was able to destroy the spirit snow dancers and harmed Eternal Sailor Moon.

However the Garnet Orb also gives Sailor Pluto access to the greatest power of time manipulation, an ability that was the ultimate taboo because of it's ultra forbidden nature. Sailor Pluto using it cost her life, but she was able to freeze all of time for the entire universe with the move "Time Stop".

Guardian Pluto:
Sailor Pluto has a power guardian known as Guardian Pluto. Power Guardians little fairies that are part of the Senshi they are named after. They can grant them a greater degree of planet power and give them a rousing pep talk.

Charon Castle:
For millions of years, since the Silver Millennium the Planetary Castles have orbited around the planets, gifts to the Sailor Senshi from the first Queen Serenity. Charon Castle orbiting Pluto is Sailor Pluto's castle which she can teleport to at will. Charon Castle has advanced sensors and computers usually operated by Guardian Pluto

Mental Capacities:

Sailor Pluto, like the other Outer Senshi also has vastly enhanced sight. From the spacetime door outside spacetime, Sailor Pluto had to watch the fall of the Silver Millennium. Sailor Pluto saw Chibiusa in the depths of spacetime disappear. She also scales to the denizens of the universe who were able to view the light of Usagi and Mamoru's love spreading across the universe at speeds likely quintillions of times the speed of light. Even in base form, she and the outer senshi were able to view the silence which crossed the entire universe quickly when they were in the same star system requiring speeds of quadrillions of times the speed of light.

Beyond this, Sailor Pluto possesses vast wisdom and experience, complimented directly by King Endymion. Sailor Pluto has guarded the spacetime door since the Silver Millennium. The People of the Moon were to oversee the evolution of the people of the Earth and when Sailor Saturn used the power of silence in the Silver Millennium it destroyed all life, forcing life to evolve all over. This means the Silver Millennium needed was before evolution. Humans first evolved 1.3 to 1.8 MILLION years ago and the earliest life goes back at least 3.5 BILLION years meaning Sailor Pluto has likely millions to billions of years of experience.

Weaknesses:
Sailor Pluto originally was bound by the three taboos being not allowed to allow others to travel through spacetime, unable to leave the spacetime door unguarded and being unable to stop time. However after being reincarnated by The Princess Usagi Sailor Pluto was less bound by taboo, and the first  two taboos evidently don't apply to Sailor Pluto anymore. It's unknown if the third taboo still binds her though conservative assumption is it still does. Either way, regardless of being still bound or not, Sailor Pluto is duty-bound and can be unpragmatic, remaining loyal to her principles beyond even victory.

Sailor Pluto has a few more weaknesses. She relies on the Garnet Orb for most of her attacks, she can run out of planet power which fuels her powers, and two versions of the same character can not exist at the same time or they will both start to disappear, meaning that Sailor Pluto can't use her time travel to duplicate.

Oh and while as far as I can tell it's in untranslated Japanese, Sailor Pluto is scared of cockroaches. Here's a funny comic about it.

Personality:
Sailor Pluto is the big lawful good of the Sailor Moon Cosmos; responsible, dutiful and mature. Sailor Pluto is exceedingly loyal to the laws of spacetime she has been given as sacred mission to guard, and will destroy those who violate those laws. She is only more loyal to her queen and to her king. It was her queen that gave her solace and courage facing the long millenia alone in the spacetime corridor and it is her king that she has a secret romantic love for. While Sailor Pluto may seem harsh she is actually very compassionate when she can. She was the only one of the Outer Senshi to be worried for the safety of the Guardian Senshi. Setsuna is also a friend to children, possibly because she seems in them the lost innocent duty-less childhood that was denied her.

Sailor Pluto knows the dangers of time manipulation, and how uncertain the flow of time is, and so is passionate in it's defense. She is called the soldier of change, the soldier of revolution, and said after her reincarnation that the true mission of the 10 senshi was to carve out a new destiny for the prince and princess, saving them from the curse that befell their love. As guardian of spacetime and guardian of the underworld, Sailor Pluto is the defender of the flow from past to future the proper sequence of events.

Alright the combatants are set. It's time.....FOR A DEATH PREDICTION!!!

The Wheels of fate turn strangely. Dark omens and the lights of heaven peer into our present time nervously...the stream of time eroding barriers of our notions. The winds of time whisper softly as they fill the little gaps and holes in the dimensions, carrying with them the strange objects and lives lost. Appearing through the window between space and time comes the present moment bearing strange tidings.

From the outside the shop did not look like that abnormal but the strange door at the front didn't seem to fit the aesthetic, being far older and of a different material. Only upon closer inspection would it be noted that the door that had not been yesterday and would not be there tomorrow was not actually attached to the magic shop, as if it had materialized from the void itself.

The tall dark figure of the Soldier guarded by the Underworld Star entered the building, the thick scent and wispy feel of incense immediately assaulting her form, putting her at unease. This place was where the spacetime distortions were coming from, held a powerful magic evident. Her sense of danger clamored. Whoever or whatever lay before her was sure to be a threat!

The witch of dimensions had of course seen the signs of this day's coming, strange and paradoxical though they seemed. Images of a butterfly landing on the distant world of Pluto. The butterfly's wings ripped and the planet's surface tore in tandem. The Butterfly was a symbol of change and journey, and Pluto was the planet governing change and revolution. A lesser fortune teller might have concluded that the duplication of "change" simply signified a "great change" but the one who some called Yuuko knew greater. There was a conflict of her and someone signified by the symbol of Pluto, which would bring about not just great change, but the changing of the nature of "change" itself. A time manipulator?

The witch of dimensions lay lazily on her favorite couch smoking her kaseru pipe as the tall dark guardian of spacetime entered, the dim light and incense smoke casting bizarre unreadable shadows across the room. Yuuko smirked, guessing at where this was going already. Setsuna frowned, hoping but not expecting to avoid a conflict of this level.

"Welcome to my shop" Yuuko said politely but with a sarcastic face.

"My....apologies for my intrusion" Sailor Pluto said quietly "but from this area I have detected a massive spacetime distortion..." her voice became slightly louder "this can not be allowed! A distortion into the dimensions at this venture would threaten the sacred order."

Yuuko's smile turned into a bored frown and she blew a puff of smoke at the Senshi who grimaced and waved it away. "In this world there is only inevitability, these things will work themselves out."

Sailor Pluto shook her head "Unacceptable. My duty is to oversee the procession of moments and dimensions..." Setsuna gripped her staff knowing a fight was coming when suddenly the two were interrupted

Maru and Moro came in to see the funny new customer and said in a sing-songy voice
"Mistress, anything we can do to help?"
"Mistress, anything we can do to help?"

Looking over to them, Yuuko waved at them dismissively to tell them this was not the time. Setsuna's mouth gaped as she thought to herself."

"Those two girls.....their movements and speech was unnatural....as though they lacked souls......could this woman have taken their souls and brainwashed them?!

She bit her lip and raised her time staff and said loudly "I will not stand for these indignities! Guarded by Pluto, planet of time. I am the soldier of change, Sailor Pluto!"

Fight!

Sailor Pluto's garnet orb shone with a brilliant red light as she pointed it at Yuuko and spoke "Dead Scream"

In but a moment a scarlet orb of dark energy hit the black robe of Yuuko, sending her back to the other end of the room. She then stood with a half-bored half-annoyed expression and replied "Sailor....Pluto.....?"

The eyes of Sailor Pluto widened with disbelief at the ease at which she had taken that attack, as if it hadn't affected her. A dark crackling lightning came from Yuuko's hands as she brought them to near each other and Sailor Pluto reflexively brought up a shield, but instead of an attack a sudden space emerged, as Yuuko created a kekkai.

Using a quickly created device, Yuuko did a quick fortune telling to learn of her opponent, why she was here and how to defeat her. She had actually just given her name right off the bat. It could be a bluff but Yuuko could read the truth of her statement in a face. But for the first time in a long time, Yuuko's expression changed to one of pure shock at the impossibility of what she was seeing in the fortune she read. Born of the Gods themselves, existing for countless eons and then....died?

"But earlier...she didn't cast a shadow!" Yuuko thought to herself "So she's alive..." it was impossible for someone to come back from the dead.

The brief timeless moment was broken as a brilliant sparkling of lights converged and through dimensions teleported in Sailor Pluto seemingly without effort. She mistook Yuuko's shock as reaction to her teleporting in.

"There is no place in the cosmos you can hide from me" Sailor Pluto spoke with authority and gravity. But to her surprise, the witch smiled at that.

The witch thought to herself "Well...if the specter of time has finally come for me....I may as well give it a show"

Sailor Pluto launched a blast of planet power, testing to see if the raw stellar energy could affect this entity however Yuuko seeing the attack coming deftly sidestepped it. The witch was at unease....the future was dim and uncertain....when she tried to probe the future, the burning red orb of her opponent's staff seared through the misty future as though angry. Yuuko stepped through dimensions next to her opponent and with knowledge of her name attempted to take her name.

However...

"Garnet Ball" said Sailor Pluto and the reaching black gloved hands of Yuuko recoiled from the sudden pressure knocking back. "The Plutonic energy.....as though this person was the entire underworld!" Yuuko thought to herself. Taking advantage of her opponent's momentary distraction, Sailor Pluto made a quick jab with her staff and the witch's shield shimmered from the sudden non-magical force. Pluto repeated the attack, pushing the witch back against the wall of the dimension.

But a dimensional barrier is merely a wisp of air to the witch of dimensions and so she faded into the air, leaving the Sailor Senshi without information on where she had gone. Using he time key as a communicator,  she signaled up to Charon Castle.

"Princess Pluto! responded Guardian Pluto working on the computer.

"She's disappeared, can you do a scan to find her" Pluto said hurriedly.

Meanwhile behind the magic shop, Yuuko materialized. She quickly made her way to the storehouse. "No...this is not the time for me to die....this is not the time to come where the descendants of Clow will need my assistance." Inside the storehouse, she quickly communicated to Maru and Moro
"Mistress, what's going on?"
"Mistress, what's going on?"

Yuuko spoke to them "I will explain later...right now I need you to search for any information you can on this 'Sailor Pluto' "

Just then the shimmering occured again and Sailor Pluto emerged again in the storehouse.

"Your ward was impressive magic" said the Soldier of Change "But not up to the standards of Silver Millennium Technology"

Yuuko smiled and laughed slightly putting Setsuna at unease yet again "This time may not be right for me....but this space yields my advantage...." Yuuko raised her hand and pointed at her foe "Rise my treasures to defeat the invader!"

Given sudden life, the treasures of the storehouse came to life and began to wildly attack, causing an utter pandemonium. Pluto's forcefield came to life, holding the sudden attack at bay. Sailor Pluto sensed stellar energies coming from one of the two living wands and quickly teleported it away. The toy wand menacingly and glaringly lit up at the Soldier of Spacetime.

Yuuko looked at the two living swords. She couldn't hold the escudo sword or it would turn to fire so she quickly grabbed the Ginryuu. As the power booster attached itself to Yuuko she could feel her magical power and channeled it through her sword swipe, splitting Setsuna's shield.  Setsuna felt herself suddenly harassed by the legion of little things, a floating carpet, a toy wand, some little clip which attempted to bite into her...a quick planet power sent most of the treasures of the storeroom flying away from her but the witch was quick on the Sailor Senshi's skirt, a quick sword slice barely dodged. Setsuna saw near her was another sword bouncing towards her. She didn't risk grab it while it was live but she needed a response to the witch's sword-wielding charge.

Setsuna quickly gathered her planet power and shot into the sword, creating a new power, a burning blast power that would surely burn the witch.....

But as she was about to launch it, the mischievous monkey paw watched from afar and cursed her with bad luck, and the blast sent Setsuna catapulting into the roof, hitting it hardly, indenting it and completely missing her enemy before landing in the ground again.

The sight made Yuuko laugh. Setsuna tried to attack again, swiping at her legs with the time staff but as bad luck has it, the time staff snagged on a rock sending.

But as the Witch readied her magic for a great warping of reality, hoping to warp this being out of reality, she too was hit with misfortune. For the malefic monkey paw never grants a boon without taking of equal measure, and so she too was struck with malefic luck and she gathered great occult magicks, feeling the great potential of the infinite dimensions....her foot hit a bit of the dirt and she tripped as well.

By now both had a guess as to the situation and the two stood unsteady, each holding a weapon. The Time Staff in Sailor Pluto's and the Silver Dragon in Yuuko's. The two attempted to hit each other but their bad luck caused them to endlessly hit only the air around each other, the two flailing helplessly at each other.

The spirit urn, eager to help had meanwhile been poured with water kept in the storehouse and had maneuvered behind the Senshi opening, it's portal, Sailor Pluto suddenly found herself sucked through the worlds only to appear in a deep ocean.

Yuuko quickly called down more luck from the celestial land, nullifying her bad luck. However she suddenly felt a great surge of energy in the spiritual world.

Setsuna felt her self suddenly plunged into a spiritual sea....some kind of negative magic was affecting her. However she was able to purge both afflictions at once. She called upon the most ancient and primordial planet power, the power of "henshin"

Her state was purged of the malefic influence of the Monkey Paw, and she reappeared in the storeroom only to find it....unsurprisingly....empty.

Setsuna suddenly doubled over.....such a distortion in spacetime! It could only mean one thing!

Across the flowing of time traversed the witch. Truthfully, she did not like traveling through time so often, as it was more visible then the subtle influence of the dimensional travel. But this foe had pushed her farther.

However something was differently. This timeline was different....she didn't recognize what was happening...the world was growing more....beautiful. It was unlike anything Yuuko had seen, a crystal fortress emerging where Tokyo had once been, a great light of love and justice emanating from it with a general hymn to peace and compassion emanating from it.

Yuuko "landed" in this time, walking among the beautiful crystal buildings, on the outskirts of civilization.

"Impossible....this is not the fate of Tokyo I had known....this is not the precursor to Clow Country!" She said to herself,

"Correct...this is Crystal Tokyo!" came HER voice booming from behind.

Yuuko turned to see a familiar shadowy silhouette leap down and emerge to reveal Sailor Pluto. All things considered, the witch was not fully surprised to see the Senshi.

"This is the land made by our princess, I shall not bring pain and suffering to it. You'll find I am stronger then I was hundreds of years ago!"

Suddenly with a blink Setsuna was behind Yuuko, sweeping her legs out from under her with the time staff, knocking her to the ground.

"Your magic may be strong....but your physical skills seem...insufficient." said Pluto.

Instead of responding, Yuuko tried to conjure her magic yet the form of Pluto remained unchanged, unerased.

Sailor Pluto readed her planet power...Yuuko could not sense energy, but she could feel the immense spacetime and magic fluctuations that sparkled around Sailor Pluto like many-dimension-ed basic geometric shape, following rules apparent but unknowable to the senses.

Yuuko tried a different tactic. A distraction... "Wait...wait" she said and she could see the slightest hesitation on the Sailor Senshi's face. "I can offer you your heart's desire!" and saying so she called forth an illusion of such....

A smokey silhouette appeared before them of a female shape and a male shape. The female shape was clearly her opponent. The male shape was unrecognized to Yuuko but clearly recognized to Setsuna. The two embraced and Setsuna turned away. If she were not her enemy, Yuuko would have to admit that Sailor Pluto's face was a work of art, a mixture of every single stage of grief, merged elegantly into the face of someone who knew loss as a friend.

"You do not accept your desire.....nor do you deny it?" Yuuko asked

Sailor Pluto spoke "I have spent many long eons trapped and alone, the maddening isolation I faced for many centuries...." and Yuuko felt surprising empathy for the fellow soul lost in time "through all that time, it was the princess of the moon who gave every painful moment...meaning. I remain every loyal to her...."

Yuuko saw in this moment an opportunity quickly gestured to shift the pair of them through dimensions.

Sailor Pluto found herself suddenly surrounded by horror. The complete ruins Tokyo. A horrid chill ran down her spine at the thought that the witch somehow suddenly did this to Crystal Tokyo, but the shattered buildings were made of stone like buildings were made of long ago, and not of crystal.

Sailor Pluto rose in anger. "Where are we?"

"Hmph." Yuko said amused now that she had some measure of control again. "There are some who call this Acid Tokyo." and saying such she again traveled forward through time. But Sailor Pluto held aloft the Time Key "Oh Father Chronos, open the path of light to me so I might catch this interloper." and thus Sailor Pluto followed Yuuko.

Clow Country. The witch sometimes called Yuuko did not like being here, deep in the heart of Fei Wang Reed's territory but with any luck the two of her enemies would cause her mischief....and even if they didn't.....perhaps she wouldn't know about the particular feature of Clow Country...

Yuuko looked at the civilization of this land and thought sadly what had happened to Princess Sakura rightful ruler of this land...she had to survive to be there at the appointed day...

Emerging into this area, Pluto felt a wind like a burning desert wind hit her. Was this truly the future of Tokyo in this timeline? Something felt off....

Pluto felt a splitting pain hit her, what kind of distortion was this...it was nothing like she had ever felt

"Hurts doesn't it?"

The Sailor Senshi turned to see Yuuko grinning sadistically at her.

Sailor Pluto stumbled towards her but almost fell over.

"See you're finally slow enough for Waves to hit you. Be at pain." Yuuko said and indeed her words hit Setsuna like punches, sending pain through her body.

"This is clow country.....a boy made a wish here for a girl he loved and now this place is in stagnant time...for someone so time sensitivity I imagine it's unpleasent...."

Despite her jovially face, Yuuko felt empathy for the poor creature suffering like this....she quickly traveled backwards in time hoping that she would not be able to follow her.

"She didn't follow me in time when I went to that...Crystal Tokyo, but she did to the Clow Country....perhaps she can not travel to a time she's already in" Yuuko reasoned.

Yuuko appeared back in time with new knowledge of her foe back to her magic storeroom.

Sailor Pluto looked surprised to see her again and took a combative stance.

"You will not be able to catch me after this" Yuuko said conjuring another dimension from dreams.

A smirk crossed Sailor Pluto's face. "Perhaps you are right" said Sailor Pluto and she raised her staff "I invoke the name of the Great God of Time Chronos, close off this dimension forever."

"This is it!" Yuuko thought, her plan come to full fruition. She activated the magic nullification accessories that had attached itself to Pluto in the chaos earlier and transferred Pluto's own magic to her, sealing her. Yuuko felt her heart skip a beat with exhilaration, and sent the sailor senshi to another dimension, sealed from both spacetime and magic.

...But to her shock, she suddenly felt a massive eruption of power in a distant part of the multiverse

In a parallel reality, moving much faster in time, Setsuna had been set. It was an empty dimension, a black stillness like the isolation of being at the time door. The dimension had no features save it's immense rate of time. But she wasn't aged to death, for she had the protection of the moon.

"Oh Princess, your heart protects me through place and event." thought Setsuna serenely. Sailor Pluto prepared to resume the chaos of conflict, though for a single moment she was almost at ease with the familiar settings.

A voice broke through the stillness and the silence for the first time for this dimension.

"PLUTO CRYSTAL POWER!"

A flash of Henshin energy, and Sailor Pluto emerged again teleporting with her henshin energy to Yuuko's position.

Yuuko stood aghast. Was she truly immortal? "All magic fades...." she said in surprise at Pluto's reappearence

"Not all magic..." said Sailor Pluto " The Silver Crystal's power is eternal and in it's auspices I reside. But now that I know about you..."

Yuuko grimaced. What kind of foe was this?

Sailor Pluto suddenly held aloft her Time Key. "Father God of Time Chronos, transport us to the spacetime corridor!"

Yuuko felt a blinding light suddenly burn her eyes, and an irresistible wind, a wind as strong as a primordial force of nature slam into her form, sending her flying. Strange lights and dark void appeared before her eyes, unrecognizable....but she felt it. The most strange thing of all, the eerie stillness and silence....as if...

Sailor Pluto held her time key, knowing that the true depths of spacetime could make her even lost forever. With a flick of her time key she summoned the witch to her, who appeared in front of her ungraciously. The Witch was clearly confused at the dizzying settings.

"I see you're relatively new to this 'outside space and time' thing." said Sailor Pluto to her guest. "How long has it been relative to standard timeline progression? A few hundred years?" she laughed a bit "for me it's been a millions."

Yuuko stood unsteady in this strange sacred land.

"So you're some form of deity then I take it?" Yuuko said with a surprising calmness. "I should warn you..." Yuuko flashed a dangerous smile "not even the Gods could resist fate."

Sailor Pluto frowned "Perhaps...but it is the job of the Sailor Senshi to forge a new destiny for our princess and prince" and with a flash of her Time Staff sent Yuuko into the depths of space and time.

The witch felt herself engulfed against by dark and light, thrown across the void by winds stronger then any wind that could exist in the dimensions. She called in her hands a tracking butterfly, but with no distance in this place it remained a general ball of potential energy, unable and unwilling to take on any form. Suddenly in the midst of the void, emerged the magic shop, called forth by Yuuko's need. Maru and Moro quickly ran up to her clearly concerned.

"This place" Yuuko began speaking to them "it is trying to erase me from existence....I am still needed however..." Luckily Yuuko had pulled a space outside of time and she quickly maneuvered her magic shop into he space, floating through a vacuum but not a void, a spatial dimension hiding in the cracks of space and time like a bubble floating in a deep black ocean.

"This place is her domain....I can't fight her there" Yuuko gasped out.

Sailor Pluto saw in the depths of time a spatial bubble emerge, a place outside of time against the laws of the cosmos. Setsuna gripped her time staff closely. What a power that could do this....but the princess...and the prince....for their sake and for the sake of the dimensions threatened by her foe, she had to pursue. However before she did Pluto knew there was one thing she had to do and teleported to Charon Castle. Guardian Pluto hovered near her, concerned. "Guardian Pluto....what did the sensors say about the target?" asked Sailor Pluto.

Yuuko had long since been used to seeing everything. She was used to the quiet comfort and confident it gave her, but this being that pursued her defied what she knew to be true. She could set up wards around the magic shop but it clearly wouldn't stop her. She had one strategy left....it all depended on the sequence of events that occurred after the Sailor Senshi came here.

Speak of the devil....

Sailor Pluto appeared at the door of the Magic Shop, hovering precariously in the void. Sailor Pluto formally entered through the door. Perhaps she couldn't avoid ceremony, perhaps she wouldn't but she walked in, the same dim lighting and same incense hitting her. Almost as if the timeline had reset.

"History certainly repeats itself" said Yuuko as she heard Setsuna entered, her face uncharacteristically serious and intense, knowing their final confrontation was here.

"Perhaps the one thing we agree on." said Sailor Pluto. Sailor Pluto held her Time Staff at Yuuko. "Dead Scream"

Nothing came out however. Sailor Pluto's eyes widened and Yuuko suddenly laughed as the ground and rooms started waving...

"Your domain may be the void outside spacetime...but I thought you might lack control....over dreams..."

The dream world began to destablize and spontaneously disappeared, leaving only a massive multi-colored swirling energy, and a seemingly infinite field or potentiality spreading to any horizon in any dimension.

Yuuko's form contorted and swelled growing massive quickly and grabbing the tiny Sailor Pluto, preparing to crush her in her hands.

Setsuna's eyes closed and a smile crossed her face. I can see across dimensions, I knew this space was warped...."

At the same time Guardian Pluto raised the Charon Castle shield, sending a massive shuddering across the star system, rocking the gentle words. In the waking world Yuuko's eyes jolted open only to find Sailor Pluto standing over her. The time key was raised and the two were transported yet again.

The witch fell to the ground. The cosmos felt differently....they had been taken back to the ancient past...

Sailor Pluto emerged into her view.

"Do you know where we are.....look to the heavens." Yuuko, confused at this did so...

"The age of Leo..." Yuuko deciphered from the stars....the age of the solar sign....the sign where the lunar mages are weakest...

Sailor Pluto looked up "It is in Leo that Pluto is exalted....for it is in it's golden rays that the heart of the underworld lord was first moved..."

The witch of dimensions knew this story well, the story of Hades and Persephone. Knowing that the Sailor Soldier of the Underworld was gonna use her ultimate attack she reversed time but Sailor Pluto reacted in time moving into the near future so her attack would slide back in time to the witch's position...

Sailor Pluto prepared a great final attack conjuring forth the winds of time. "Chronos Typhoon" she said, and great winds emerged....as coordinated charon castle and guardian pluto both boosted her energy to their pinnacle as she exalted, her dark skin glowing in the golden rays of the sun her dark power burning with solar intensity....

"My prince....guarded by the light of the sun.....your power guides me forever...." spoke Sailor Pluto in her heart.

Yuuko could read Sailor Pluto's face clearer then any face prior. The winds reached her, melting away at even the Great Clow Reed's spell
"The hardest thing in all the worlds to predict..........Love"

As the great spell of Clow Reed began to fade Yuuko quickly pointed Setsuna's focus "I suggest you look over there" she said gesturing to the horizon.

Setsuna, worried did so, and saw again the witch's dimension, brought to this time....but inside she saw her worst fear.......Small Lady! Hotaru! They were in danger!

"I can save them" said the witch...but only if you stop time...."

Sailor Pluto's head snapped to attention looking at the witch closing in to fading. With a sad nod, Sailor Pluto held her staff aloft "Time Stop!" she yelled and time was thus frozen. Sailor Pluto collapsed in pain and dignity.

Yuuko then traveled to her store. The illusions surrounding "Hotaru" and "Chibusa" disappeared and Maru and Moro stood in their places.

"Who was that mistress?"
"Who was that mistress?"

they asked in chorus.

The witch of dimensions sadly responded. "She was a noble soldier. Those that live by principle it is said will someday die by that principle."

K.O.

This fight was really a case of "unstoppable force" meets "immovable object". The two characters would have a lot of difficulty even affecting each other.

Sailor Pluto had a lot of advantages. Her Chronos Typhoon would arguably be able to kill Yuuko, she was a lot more experienced, guardian pluto was arguably a bigger help then Maru and Moro....

However Setsuna's weaknesses were a lot more debilitating. Her rule-abiding nature would give the ever pragmatic Yuuko plenty of changes to exploit her good nature and her capacity to run out of planet power suggests Yuuko could outlast her.

The first point that suggests Yuuko would win is sheer mobility and range. While Yuuko was a lot slower then Setsuna, that wasn't a big factor in this fight. While it's true Setsuna can teleport and see through dimensions, Yuuko could sense across the multiverse as well as affect across the multiverse giving her near-constant information about Setsuna's current location and ability to affect her. Notably only Yuuko could access a mental space like a dream. While it's true that the Senshi did teleport into the kingdom of Elysian, Elysian is not a dream world like the manga. While Helios comes from there and lives in dreams, he only does that because he was tied up by Nehelenia, not because he's naturally a dream being. I'd also note saying that Setsuna could easily destroy Clow Reed's spell and jam Yuuko's predictions because she was able to do so to Kaorinite is fallacious as Kaorinite does not have fortune telling or reanimation feats nearly on par with Clow Reed or Yuuko. While it would cause some effect it probably would be lessened.

However the biggest point in Yuuko's favor was that Setsuna heavily relied on the Garnet Orb which Yuuko would immediately notice (it's not exactly subtle, it glows whenever it's used.) Yuuko could disarm Setsuna of it, drastically reducing her potency, even just by bringing it to life, making it uncontrollable to Setsuna. She could also teleport Setsuna to one dimension and the garnet orb to another orb. Sure Setsuna can teleport across dimensions, but she would have no idea which one it was in and would have to find it. Without the Garnet Orb, Yuuko would have a lot easier time against Setsuna while Yuuko doesn't similarly require any particular object to use her magic.

It also helps that Setsuna usually needs to perform an invocation of most of her abilities and can clearly do most of them one at a time while Yuuko can perform several at once. Also Sailor Pluto, like the Sailor Senshi generally tend to give their names in their pre-battle speeches which gives Yuuko the immediate information she needs while information about her would be much harder for Sailor Pluto to decipher.

Overall Yuuko could easily mess with Setsuna's powerset using animation and magic manipulation, and was overall more versatile in her battle possibilities.

The winner is....Yuuko Ichihara

  1. My Word that was a Long blog but ABSOLUTELY worth every word. I feel like i just read an epic by Vergil that was GREAT. So these two are both absolute titans of time, but you are completely write in them having exactly opposite outlooks, but strangely are so similar, its seriously as iff all the stars in spacetime allied and gave them a perfect match against eachother. I remember when you first thought of this fight, like JEEZ how long ago i made that TN for it, but to see it now in all its glory is better than i could have hoped. You are always amazing when you write Sailor Moon stuff, and with CLAMP? the last time they were together it literally is my fave of your blogs, and this is like the smaller but more chaotic counterpart to that!

The fight scene was Astonishing! like it was written So Sophisticated with literal truckloads of dissectible symbolism that really leave a massive impact. seriously i have grown to like it multiple times more just letting it sit with me as i keep realizing new amazing things about it. Loved both analysis, especially Setsunas weapon, i want one.....Sailor Pluto is an Insane Powerhouse of a fighter, but Yuuko....outside of DC she seriously might be one of the most clever manipulators in fiction and that really showed in this fight. Setsuna seemed to have a notable advantage for almost the whole thing, being a super physically opposing force immune to almost all her powers pursuing her across spacetime. but before long....or short? eturnity? hard to tell how long this fight scene was technically happening for with all the spacetime shenanigans ;) Yuuko figured it out. It took a LONG time tho, had to throw everything at her, in the storeroom scene literally. but theres alot to be learned in the phrase "Dont Fuck with a Witch"

  2. That was a very beautifully written blog Imp. You really are in your element when you write blogs about powerful magic users such as these. I loved learning about these two powerful time users and the fight you wrote for them was absolutely magical.

I loved how their personality and experience played as big a role in the battle as their powerful space time abilities. It was a joy to read them interact with each other. It is hard to wrap my head around all their various abilities in one read-through but it was all very interesting. I honestly didn't expect Yuuko to win considering Pluto's seeming lead but you really played with my expectations in the battle.

So many of their interactions in spacetime were very well thought out over the course of the battle. The part where they both had their attacks foiled by bad luck was pretty great. And the ending where Pluto ends up dying from a trick and Yuuko reflecting on Pluto's life principles was a fantastic way to end it.

Many people would dismiss versus stuff as low-brow entertainment, but your blogs really shows the artistic side of the genre. This is really brought out in this blog I think.

Very excited to see a blog on one of my favorite superheroes for the next time!

  3. Part 1 of my comment

Is it just me, or does this one feel extra packed full of awesome? Maybe the subject matter is warping time for me :P Where to begin? Spoilers ahoy! So go up there and read the blog random person who is reading this.

Now then. This was one of my favorite types of death predictions: the ones where I'm pretty familiar with one of the combatants, and not at all familiar with the other one. That means I get to enjoy a character I already love getting the "Imp treatment" of being analyzed and shown their best side while also getting educated on a new character and a new series! Setsuna's already my favorite Outer Senshi of all time (pun totally intended) so it's not like I can love her any more but Yuuko! Yuuko went straight from cool-looking lady I've seen a couple glimpses of to one of the most amazing witches I've ever encountered in fiction. And I'm not just talking about her fantastic powers and unique backstory, I really dig her personality as well. Definitely the kind of person who knows how to just chill and have a nice time. So much great stuff in her kit that can give her SO many options but the thing that impressed me the most wasn't even a form of attack: it's her state of being. Existing outside of space-time, yet being able to interact with the physical realm in the past, present and future, all at the same time...not gonna lie, she's a tricky character to wrap my head around! That's why I'm so intrigued by her though. And the fact that if she actually properly advances even one second in time, she's toast. That's very unique, I love it. As for Sailor Pluto, I've already enjoyed your Sailor Pluto blog (go check it out people!) so there wasn't much for me to learn here but I did forget about her Power Guardian. I guess everyone forgets about those lil guys (gals?) but you not only highlighted them here, you put them in the fight! Nice! Also the gif with the ice cream was amazing, a comedic highlight of this blog for sure!

Alright, but what about the fight? Time fight, holy cow, this is the coolest battle involving time travel I've ever read. Not that I can remember how many of those I've seen but what I want to stress is this is best example of time travel being used heavily in a fight that I've seen. There were times where I got a little turned around and had to reread more carefully but that's not to say that was because of bad writing! I think a fight like this *should* have a sort of bewildering effect on the reader, and even the combatants, mistresses of time that they are, were turned a little topsy-turvy at each other's sly tactics.

Continued in a second comment because apparently I discovered the word limit for this site.

  4. Part 2 of my comment

Speaking of writing, loved the mystical poetic language at the very start of the fight, before the combat starts. Really drew me in and there was more throughout. Excellent descriptions of every single action taken; despite the constantly changing battlefield, I was able to clearly see every blow in my mind. My favorite part was when Pluto changed the battlefield's time to far in the past, in the "age of Leo". I know little of astrology but luckily both these characters know a ton and were able to enlighten me. A time of a stellar alignment that weakens the type of mage Yuuko is while being the same time Pluto's at its strongest? Amazing! It truly is like this battle was fated to be, almost on a meta level. Though if you can control time, I imagine it's fairly easy to find an advantageous coincidence out of everything that's ever happened :P

But Pluto lost! Noooooo! Oh well. You know, even though I was hoping she'd win (the fight had a couple great moments that surprised me, making me think she was gonna turn it around), I actually thought Yuuko was the one that *should* win and reading your verdict, I agree with it. There were some advantages on both sides that I didn't figure out until seeing them in your verdict and it looks like Yuuko had more options leading to a very hard-won victory. I think it's really cool that she was able to find an unconventional way to win where many others would see an insurmountable wall. I'll console myself with the knowledge that unlike Yuuko's multiverse, Setsuna's home has several ways of ctrl+z-ing death. This wasn't her first and it might not even be her last!

Quick shoutout to Thor for another awesome score. I especially liked the xxxHolic songs, none of which I've ever heard before. And to Imp, a round of applause! Another informative and entertaining blog that kept me on the edge my seat and my eyes off the clock. I'd say take a break but OH MY GOD THE NEXT BLOG! It looks like you've lined up a very long time of "not taking a break"! So many comics! So much...everything! Could there even be relevant information found on the back of old cereal boxes or toy commercials? I'm talking about the one, the only (okay so not the only but plenty of time to get into that later), Spider-Man! Amazing trailer Thor and Imp, I can only wish you the greatest of luck and coffee for the Herculean task you're undertaking in making a thorough analysis of my 2nd favorite comic book hero. Don't worry, despite the excitement in my tone, I can wait!
