The Purpose of Batman in the DC Universe

Batman is without question one of the most iconic and famous characters to have ever been created, and I would say a modern mythological symbol. He arguably has more content written about him then literally any other fictional character ever made.

Now personally when talking about DC Superheroes I'm a massive fan of Superman and a pretty big fan of Wonder Woman and Doctor Fate. I'm not a big Batman person, and the personal reason is when reading superhero comics I wish to read about demigods, about modern mythological heroes confronting the extremes of reality, the sorta abstractions that we normally don't see confronted in stories. I don't usually read Street Tier characters like Batman, Green Arrow, Black Canary etc. because those heroes feel much more "Earthly", much more bounded by what you might consider the conventional. Not all the time certainly, Batman in particular has some very otherwordly stories about confrontation with the absolute, but in general that's the reason.

However some people have taken a similar logic and gone to an extreme that I think is unwarranted and is a general very shallow reading of the character of Batman and his place in the overarching DCU. You'll see comedic skits about Superman and Batman and they will question why does Superman/The Justice League etc. even need Batman? Batman doesn't have powers, he's just a rich guy in a suit etc.

This strikes me as a shallow read on the character. Now this is a question that can be answered from two perspectives; one is the "in-universe" perspective of assuming these characters are real, and the other is the "out of universe" perspective of talking about the characters as fictional characters. It's really easy to say out of universe that Batman is just purely a wish fufillment character. He's a leading member of the Justice League but he is a normal human that you could be.

I don't find this a very compelling argument for two reasons. One is that there have been a lot of wish fufillment characters and none have stood the test of time better then Batman. Batman remains popular over 80 years after his conception and 60 years after the formation of the Justice League. Such a base appeal is not likely to explain that. The other reason it doesn't fit right with me is that Batman is actually depicted as the least human personality wise, relative to the other members of the Justice League, at least in any depiction that's happened even remotely recently. Superman is depicted as a bit of a naive but compassionate Kansas Boy, Wonder Woman is depicted as an honest and idealistic but competitive and stubborn warrior, The Flash is depicted as an impulsive goofy hot-head who tends to run himself into corners etc. Batman on the other hand is the logical practical planner of the team, often more cold in his analysis then any other core member of the JLA.

This brings me to why I actually think Batman is an important member of the JLA and the DCU as a whole. The DCU is a universe of living archetypes, it's what I think of as the distinguisher between DC and Marvel. DC's characters are closer to being pure archetypes and Batman is one of the purest archetypes. To compare him to Superman; Superman is the Inhuman trying to be Human; Superman is that which sees us from outside and sees the greatness of humanity, who wants to be like us, who wants to embody our values and our strengths. Batman in contrast is the Human trying to be Inhuman, after seeing the brutality of man and the pain of weakness, Bruce strives to become something beyond human, a symbol that can strike fear into the hearts of man, something beyond what a simple human like Bruce Wayne can be.

This to me is the reason both in and out of universe why Batman is so important to the Justice League. Humanity in the DCU is a noble, powerful thing and Batman is the human archetype taken to it's extreme. When people say Batman is the "Peak Human", they don't mean he is peak human in our world, he's Peak Human in that he's the absolute for what a human is in the DCU. In Universe Batman is the Human Example that the JL strives to be like and to fight for, and out of universe Batman is a major part of the overarching DC Storyline of Humans being the Next Gods. Batman is the Human Archetype, he is human in the paradoxical sense that he is ever striving to be more then human, he is the human in the ascent of humanity, human in the aspect of human's ability to rise above. This is why he is so important in universe and out, because he represents what will be the next race of Gods, both literally and metaphorically in the DCU.

The DC Universe's main plotline seems to be the overarching story of the rise of humanity to be the next world of the Gods as has been foreshadowed and alluded too many times. If that is then Batman's dealing with the strange world of the JLA, represents humanity's dealing with the strange world of the abstract and supernatural that surrounds the Earth.

Flip Flappers-Verse Strategy Guide

How to be OP in the Flip Flappers-verse

Local Scale Threat:

Outside this universe is another world called Pure Illusion. Pure Illusion is a world shaped by imagination and emotions and is composed of many dimensions of strange physics and inhabitants. As might be imagined more then one organizations are interested in exploring this world to regain the powerful amorphous shards from our universe that have fallen into them.

To do this they send agents into Pure Illusion, using a process of bonding and teamwork known as "Flip-Flapping". The main pair of the series; Cocona and Papika even in their civilian state would be in this tier when they are charged with energy via the power of their relationship and desire to save each other. In this state they were able to casually falling from a small planet's orbit, a collision which would take over half a ton of tnt, which is a building level. Their full energy can rise without even transforming to the point that Cocona displaced the water of a frozen lake in episode 1 for Papika when she no knowledge of Pure Illusion, requiring city block level energy. As such most of the tier's fighters are building, with the strongest being city block level.

In terms of speed the characters even in civilian form can easily move faster then the eye. The best speed feat would be Cocona and Papika moving around and reacting after they were launched around a small planet that was one of the dimensions of Pure Illusion, at speeds nearly mach 30. Thus most of the tier is hypersonic.

Cocona and Papika in their pseudo-transformed state have shown they can produce an energy aura around them as a form of offense and are skilled martial artists to the point that the inhabitants of one dimension thought their skill was literally miraculous calling their fight "the dance of miracles". Papika also has levitation by way of her trusty hoverboard as well as limited enhanced sense of smell.

The tier has other inhabitnts as well. Both Flip Flap and Asclepinus the organizations use robots that would scale to being above at least Cocona and Papika's Civlilian States and which typically use binding claws. One of these has also displayed levitation via a small rotor blade.  There's large megafauna that exists in Pure Illusion that would dwarf even elephants, though Papika is so skilled that she can casually climb around on them to retrieve Cocona's glasses.

While it's not typically possessed by the fighters of the tier, the verse also has numerous entities with superintelligence able to create technology that can access the world of Pure Illusion outside the universe including the technicians of Asclepinus and Hidaka. There is also Pops of Pure Illusion, the inventor of technology able to create an advanced city with mecha.

There's also one more sorta advantage for the verse, although it's sort of a distadvantage as well, and that is Pure Illusion itself. It is a distinctive trait of Pure Illusion that it's worlds are strange and hold many peculiarties like gates that put one in the body of a person in another time to change history, worlds that can transform animals and humans into animal-humans, and a spooky ghost world in which ghosts try to turn things into a schoolgirl yuri story whose time repeats each day. It's a very disorienting verse which can make it hard to act in, let alone fight in. While this can somewhat cause trouble for the tier's own fighters, they are at least more experienced with it then any one from another universe.

However that does bring up the weaknesses of the verse. The first, related to the above is that bfr strategies would seem to work very well. Cocona and Papika can't access their powers when not around each other and everyone in the verse has a hard time getting between dimensions basically need the highest level of technology to do so.

On a bit of a simpler level this tier is really vulnerable to ranged strategies. All the strategies of this tier including the robots and megafauna can basically be divided into ground-based melee fighters and air-based melee-fighters divided on whether they have levitation/flight or not. Their isn't much in the way of ranged combat on this tier outside of Cocona and Papika's energy aura thing and it's honestly a good way to get around the skill level of Cocona and Papika and to get around the robots binding.

Also while Cocona and Papika can reach city block level out of massive concern for each other, that's only in those circumstances. You might think psychological manipulation would be really good here, but an even safer and more consistent strategy is just a stamina based one. They have never been shown to maintain that level of intensity for very long. In real life a human can reach the strengh of a big ape like a Gorilla for very brief periods in moments of complete intensity but a gorilla would still stomp a human because that is only the briefest period for a human as opposed to just the normal state of a gorilla.

All of this suggests the consistent sniper strategy that can avoid detection and take out enemies from far away would be a good strategy for the tier. This leads to my first counter

Sinon from Sword Art Online (specifically Gun Gale Avatar Sinon)

Sinon is one of the best fighters in GGO, which has monsters comparable to the Geocrawler of ALO which was the size of multiple buildings, suggesting she would scale to Large Building Level which suggests she would be above most of the tier but below Cocona and Papika's full force. She also has hypersonic reaction, able to react to Kirito as well as to machine gun bullets from close range.

Sinon is an incredible sniper, able to snipe from kilometers away, far outside the detection range of anyone in the tier, aided by her Hawkeye Skill that allows her vision to zoom in on a target and her aim assist.

Sinon could adapt better then most to the strange worlds of Pure Illusion as her Bullet Circle ability tells her where her bullet will land, taking into account all outside variables, down to her heartbeat. This could easily account for the strange climates of Pure Illusion. She is also simply not affected by weather, can adjust what temperature she feels, and climate effects like frostbite. It's likely she could remain unaffected by at least some of Pure Illusion's strange environments.

Sinon also would have literally infinitely more physical stamina then the tier's fighters as her physical body simply doesn't tire being a virtual reality simulation. She also feels neglible pain to the point that even decapitation in game barely gives any pain. Even if she is forced into close range, she could likely withstand briefly but long enough for her to fire another bullet at close range.

That said she really should avoid melee. If she headshots Cocona or Papika the other could easily dismantle her in one or two shots if she is not careful. While she could easily hit them from far outside their detection range and fire twice before being noticed, this is still a risk, and some of the more esoteric strangeness of Pure Illusion would be unlike anything she had ever seen. For a counter that mitigates both of these moreso you could use

Green Arrow from DC Comics

Green Arrow has survived a punch from Solomon Grundy that could destroy a cliffside and scales to various building level feats from DC Street Tiers. He can also explosion time, requiring hypersonic speed and can react to various lightning timers movement.

Green Arrow is the expert marksman of the DC Universe, adept at adapting his archery to whatever bizarre situations the DC Universe throws at him, like when Killer Frost created 100 MPH winds and Oliver adjusted for it and shot an arrow to use the wind's momentum to knock over a streetlamp onto her.

Green Arrow is skilled enough to go hand to hand with Cocona and Papika and likely win given his feats against DC Martial Artists. He is also stealthy and quick enough to exit a building, avoiding it's security in the brief time the man he was speaking to closed his eyes. Oliver would be able to casually snipe anyone in the verse from outside their range, staying out of their detection with his agiltiy and stealth (especially if he uses one of his flash bangs), and if they get close he would be able to easily out melee most of them.

That's not even getting into the most potent part of his arsenal; his trick arrows. While his trick arrows tend to vary, his most common form are forms of incapitation such as net arrows, cryo arrows, foam arrows etc. These bindings have been shown to be effective against the verse's fighters. His stronger arrows including things like Phantom Zone Arrows which is a form of BFR that literaly no one in the verse could recover from.

That said, Oliver could still struggle against some of the stranger climates in Pure Illusion. But perhaps struggling with the environement is not the most optimal strategy, perhaps the best strategy is to pick a character that could work with the strange environment, which is why I would suggest as my ultimate counter to the tier

Wizards from Magicka.

While most Wizards from Magicka aren't as strong as the greatest wizards, Wizards can still freeze rivers or parts of lava, which would take at least city block level power. They can also react to lightning, which requires MHS reactions.

Pure Illusion is a world with a strange warped physics based on the psyches of people. Magicka Wizards are people with warped pysches based on the energies of the world. The Magicka Wizards would be almost pure embodiments of Pure Illusion. They are massively more versatile in the tier and can use tricks like the infamous Steam Beam to snipe anyone in the tier while freezing them so they can't respond or lightning-death-ice walls to hit multiple enemies. If they would be threatened they can create a personal shield that can block even planetary attacks. This can only last a brief time but it can be easily recharged and it lasts longer then the stamina of Cocona and Papika's strongest emotional surges. Bear in mind that the Magicka Wizards are normally physically as powerful as Cocona and Papika's peak.

The dimensions of Pure Illusion would not inconvenience the Wizard likely given their nature, and in fact likely the Wizard could manipulate it with their mana. They enter the spooky ghost world? They can just use life mana to neutralize them. They became part animal? Doesn't affect their mindset as they were already connected to the natural world. Enter a time gate? They can just use Town Portal magicka as they already did to get back from the past. The Town Portal magicka can also bfr anyone in the tier.

But what about the Wizard's weakness? Sure they don't normally take things seriously but they do when the natural world is being threatened...such as if nameless organizations from another world are trying to remove the sources of life and being for this world. In Flip Flappers, the Magicka Wizard would be wholly motivated to protect Pure Illusion from the incursions.

City Scale Threat:

As individual dimensions in Pure Illusion can encompass a whole city or city-sized area like a desert, this is roughly the scale threat to be a danger to everything in one dimension.

This is the tier of Cocona and Papika after using the power of their relationship to intitiate the process known as "Flip-Flapping" to become their Magical Girl Forms Pure Blade and Pure Barrier respectively.

Both Pure Blade and Pure Barrier have the ability to manifest weapons with Pure Blade's manifesting generally as a large sword and Pure Barrier's manifesting as a shield. The two also have a combination attack of a large laser weapon. Pure Blade also showed minor matter manipulation dissolving a cage trapping Papika, and Pure Barrier has demonstrated water manipulation creating large blobs of water which she can use as a weapon or to trap people. In this form both of them can also fly.

The two of them created an explosion that was visible from space outside of a small planet, calculated as taking millions of tnt and thus being city level. This is consistent with them being relative to the Amorphous Shards which maintained the nature of these dimensions. The speed of the tier is generally unchanged but likely faster then the prior tier.

This is also the tier of the Asclepinus Agents Yayaka and the Brother-Sister team Tutu and Yuyu who were able to fight evenly with Pure Blade and Pure Barrier. Yuyu uses a giant power fist to fight while Tutu uses a missile barrage. Yayaka can also Flip-Flap gaining energy manipulation and flight as a boost to her stats. This is also the tier of the rabbit Uexkull's Superhero Form which can use superleaping.

Notably there's Welwitschia who is a giant spider monster that disguises herself as a normal if strangely colored humanoid person. She is the queen of the desert dimension and has forcifully taken many women of the dimension to be part of her harem. She cna disguise herself and manipulate people and in her true form is adapt at moving quickly and agily to avoid attacks to the point of looking like teleportation, and can bind people. She can also fire a laser from her mouth.

Finally this tier has much advanced technology, not just from the main universe, but from the advanced city that is one of the dimensions of Pure Illusion including giant mecha controlled by eletrical charges, sound and the connection between two people (allowing the mecha themselves to use the energy of Flip Flapping) far above most of the tier's fighters including the Great Pacoya Nova whose laser destroyed much of the planet that dimension was on and left the orbit of the planet relatively. It is unknown what size that planet was, but if it was Earth Sized this would be at least relativistic speed and be continent levels of energy.

In terms of strategies the most obvious one to use is what Welwitschia used, a combination of stealth and binding. The verse lacks advanced detections methods outside the the great Rabbit Superhero Uexkull's rabbit hearing and binding tends to work pretty well.

However there's a power that I think would work even better, or rather two powers that would work similarly well. One of these is technopathy. Controlling the verse's strong tech would give one access to the inter-dimensional teleportation technology and the giant mecha that are far stronger then any of the tier's fighters. Also all the tier's fighters rely on weapons which can be controlled as forms of technology. Similarly telekinesis would be likely strong in the verse, just telekinetically controlling the weapons to keep them from using them. It could also double as a form of binding, telekinetically holding the bodies of the tier. This brings me to my first counter

Tom Lucitor from Star versus the Forces of Evil

Tom is much stronger then Marco who has a mushroom cloud feat which would be in the kiloton range. When taking into account the fact that Tom's power can rise in rage, he can likely compete with the verse in power. His reaction speed should scale to Marco's and Base Star's who could react to Hekapoo could could circle a planet in seconds requiring relativistic speeds. This means he would have no trouble reacting to the tier's fighters.

Tom has telekinesis which he used to play ping pong without a paddle and stop a spinning wheel which suggest he could telekinetically interfere with the weapons of the tier's fighters. Even more potent Tom can teleport between Hell and the Earth, a form if interdimensional teleportation and can teleport others. It would be easy for him to hypothetically teleport the tier's fighters into other dimensions they could not get out of easily.

Tom is most known for his pyromancy including erupting into an angry aura of fire. Such an aura could keep any melee fighter off him and could melt any ranged weapon outside possibly Cocona/Papika or Welwitschia's lasers which have a slight charge up he could see and dodge with his fire-based flight as he did to Meteora's soul stealing attack.

Tom is also skilled at dark magic and curses, in particular...bindings. He brought up a dark coffin construct which Full Power Mina struggled with, Mina being much stronger then the Royal Moon Family in their Butterfly Forms who were stronger then planet level characters like Helios. This suggests that not even Pacoya Nova could break out of the coffin trap. He also has a very odd curse called the Nasaya Curse which causes a second head to pop out of the target's neck causing them to say their secrets and thoughts. This is relevant because disruptions to the teamwork between a Flip-Flapping team can break their ability to use their abilities and if one side of a team gives away any secret distastes they have towards the other it can throw their strategy out of synch. Similarly, if two people are out of synch they can't use the mecha properly.

That said he might be a bit fragile for the verse if attacks get in. For a counter with a bit more survivability you could use

Cutie Honey from Re: Cutie Honey

Honey's power was able to equal the power of a nucleur bomb and survive the epicenter of it's energy and she was able to cut numerous missiles in flight at once suggesting she would be similar to the tier in terms of raw power and speed. She was also able to react to a nuclear explosion requiring her to react in nanoseconds requiring relativistic reactions suggseting she could react to even the Great Pecoya Nova's Laser. It's possible her berserk or power of love mode could allow her to compete even with the mecha in raw power.

Honey is a skilled melee fighter with a far more versatile arsenal of abilities then the tier's fighters. She can also reform from just her nanites which suggests that even Cocona's matter manipulation would not be able to stop her, yet she has a much stronger form using the I-System which creates things out of air particles.

She should be similarly skilled and can create illusory duplicates out of light or create a blinding light which would be fairly exotic abilities for the tier. She can also attack from a distance by creating a tornado attack which would also knock back any non energy ranged attacks on her position. But for the energy attacks themselves she can absorb energy, even the energy of nuclear bombs suggesting she could just absorb the two laser attacks.  Not that they would notice her position since she is particularly adept at disguisng herself to get in close to an enemy like Welwitschia did to Cocona.

Honey also has powerful technopathy, to the point of being able to control technology across the planet with the I-System. This would give her a godlike ability to control the verse's technology. Beyond that, her form of Hurricane Honey is the master of all vehicles including hypothetically the mecha of Pure Illusion so she could potentially hijack one of the mechas to use for herself, with the only possibly downside being she may not fit inside as she is an adult woman in size while two schoolgirl sized girls struggled to fit into their cockpits.

The only possible way I could see for Honey to lose is that this version of Honey is a bit ditzy and I could see Welwitschia disguising herself and manipulating her for a surprise attack. For a counter this is highly unlikely to work against, you could use my ultimate counter on this tier

Squigly from Skullgirls

Squigly defeated the Skullgirl, who was capable of throwing a skyscraper at hypersonic speeds, requriing city levels of energy. She also defeated 3 different opponents who defeated Valentine who could casually point-blank machine gun bullet time. This suggests she would be similar to the tier's fighters in terms of stats.

Squigly can use the same burrowing strategy that Welwitschia used to great effect, burrowing underground usign Leviathian as a periscope, before quickly using geokinesis to engulf any of the tier's fighters, incapaciting them or creating a quicky fiery attack. This would be similar to Tom's fire above in that it can keep enemies away and burn projectiles but Squigly's fire is also a fire that can hit on the astral plane hitting the soul itself, which no one in the tier has any defense against.

While much of the tier could be a danger at close range, Squigly excels specifically in keeping distance in particuar with space manipulation which would act not only as a defense that can avoid any attack on the tier but also a one-shot move on anyone who even tries to close. Not even the lasers of Cocona+Papika or Welwitschia would work if she simply adjusted her distance from her enemy. This is also seen with her elegant song-based martial art completely unlike the intense rushing stratregies of most of the tier's fighters. It would be a simple matter of timing the moment they charge and using one of many different forms of counters. Also if one would threaten her, Leviathan can act independently and with his 20 segmented body could likely bind the verse to give Squigly more time. Even if they do get a hit in, Squigly is a zombie who could persist way longer then any of the fighters here. She can also attain an intangible state where they would be unable to do anything. And unlike the prior counter, Squigly is known for her intelligence and levelheadedness and is unlikely to be manipulated by Tutu or Welwitschia.

But what about the mecha of Pure Illusion? This is where Squigly's powers would come in most usage. Those are partially sound based as they answer to voice commands of the users. Squigly is a highly skilled sound manipulated and she gains her intangibility by literally turning into sound. It's likely she could manipulate the machines. What makes this even more of an advantage for her is that using her space manipulation she could likely get within the machines as a form of teleportation and she and Leviathan could pilot them. The power of the Mecha are determined by the relationships of the users and their teamwork. Squigly and Leviathan are distinguished as the apex of teamwork, working in perfect unison, they would be hypothetically able to unlock a new level of power from them.

Planet to Universe Scale Threat:

All of the Amorphous are fragments to the psychic ghost known as Mimi, the true ruler of Pure Illusion. Mimi is a mental plane being, part of the psyche of the psychic Mimi who lived in the past. Mimi to battle used a Dark Flip-Flapping to take on a battle form. In this form she claimed she would fuse the universe with Pure Illusion suggesting universal reality-warping. She also turned into a black hole that was going to threaten both the universe and Pure Illusion which is consistent with the claim.

In terms of speed, there's not much concrete but Mimi is potentially relativistic as she is the source of all in Pure Illusion suggesting she would be above the speed of Great Pacoya Nova's laser which left the orbit of the planet it was on quickly.

Mimi has a wide variety of abilities which makes her quite tricky to fight and counter. She can possess people, as she did to Cocona to break Papika's heart and keep the two of them apart. She can manipulate the memories of people and transmute things or change their ages, which she did to keep the two of them apart. She has universal reality-warping and all the abilities of the amorphous, including turning animals into animal themed superheroes, turning back time on a city-wide scale, summoning alternate timeline versions of people and more. She can also passively kill anyone whose near her and shapeshift.

However despite all her attempts, Cocona and Papika were too important to each other to be kept apart and their reunion formed a new super form of Flip-Flapping. These new super forms were of enough strength to destroy the Black Hole Mimi together. Dark Flip-Flapping Mimi was stronger then one of the two Super Flip-Flapping Cocona and Papika but weaker then both together.

In terms of weaknesses....Mimi really doesn't have much outside the fact that she is psychologically unstable and not thinking very logically. She's also hypothetically viable to have her power split up into the amorphous as they were, but that's easier said then done. She also seems to be weaker in the Real World then Pure Illusion so dimensional BFR may be a viable tactic. However the best tactic imo is a mixture of being able to manipulate her so as to avoid her hax dead on, as well as something that can one-shot her.

Cocona and Papika while they're very strong and seemingly pretty hax resistant by scaling, aren't very versatile. For the most part most people that can defeat Full Power Mimi would also be able to beat Cocona and Papika, since they beat her basically by being a really specific counter to her, which brings me to my first counter which is

Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat

Shang Tsung is strong enough to fight against Liu Kang who has numerous times overcome Shao Kahn. Shang Tsung also alongside Quan Chi defeated Raiden. The Mortal Kombat Gods are strong enough that a battle between Raiden and Shinnok was threatening the universe to it's foundations and an attack from Raiden and Fujin was able to surpass the Big Bang. Shang Tsung can also move relative to the attacks of natural sunlight from Kotal Kahn which naturally moves at lightspeed. This is supported by how Raiden is said by an omniscient statement to move as fast as lightning. As Raiden is the God controlling lightning this likely includes the return stroke of lightning which moves at 1/3rd the speed of light.

Shang Tsung is a skilled magic-user and very versatile fighter. However arguably even more deadly he is an incredibly skilled manipulator, regularly manipulating Shao Kahn. It's very possible that he could manipulate Mimi similarly given her much more decayed state of mind. As Mimi is a dead being, it's very plausible Shang Tsung could control her soul with his necromancy which allows him to control the dead. Beyond that Shang Tsung has BFRed enemies like Liu Kang including through other realms. It's likely if Shang Tsung teleported himself and Mimi to the Netherrealm for instance, Mimi would be weakened from being outside of Pure Illusion and Shang Tsung could use his greater degree of combat skill to beat her. He also can hypothetically seal Mimi inside on his Phylacteries or inside his own body as he done with countless souls before.

However it's perhaps his most famous ability that I think would be his victory. Shang Tsung can transform into perfect copies of people including their powerset. If Shang Tsung transformed into Cocona it could seriously mess with Mimi's head and he would gain her incredible resistance. While Dark Mimi would likely beat Super Cocona one on one, if she is distacted and fighting against a Super Cocona who is a much more skilled fighter she would be in a lot more trouble, especially if that Super Cocona could teleport her to a place she's not as much powerful in. Even if Mimi psychotically kills Shang Tsung when he first appears before her, he can act as a disembodied soul and could take control of Cocona to use the same strategy.

Against Cocona and Papika, Shang Tsung can use his telekinesis and far more varied moveset to win as well, though they would be harder to manipulate. Most notably he can telekinetically hold their bodies as he could do to Raiden and then use a Soulnado to take their souls.

That said Shang Tsung would not be invincible. If he was caught unawares by Mimi, or if Mimi focused she could likely use things like her age or memory manipulation to mess with him (though memory manipulate may not work as having many souls in MK gives one resistance to mind hax as seen when Ermac vs Takeda). She could also hypothetically possess him while he probably wouldn't be able to towards her or she could summon alternate versions of him which may compete and pull each other down. For a similar type of counter but with a more general defense you could use

Takofanes from Champions

Takofanes scales to a single King of Edom who can consume universal sized dimensions into their being and to Skarn who created his own universe from many disparate dimensions. He also is similar in speed to characters using the lightspeed dash power suggesting he would have relativistic speed.

Takofanes has a natural command over all undead near him, including very likely Mimi. But even if he doesn't, he has numerous other powers that would work on her including fogging up her mind, which is relevant as her mind is the source of her powers as a psychic and putting her to sleep. More notably Takofanes could use his illusions and Torments of the Damned to attack Mimi with the pains of her past. Mimi as a character is a character tortured by the past, it's the reason why the dark part of Mimi becamse it's own part, agonized by what she had done.

In return almost none of Mimi's powers work based on the sheer hax protection granted by the Dragon Crown and the Spell of Perfect Protection. Takofanes requires overpowering his magic to cause him to crumble instead of trying to hax him, as his spell gives him a resistance to a lot of abilities, everything in the Champions Universe. If anything she would use would work he could easily teleport to one of his hidden dimensions before it affected him.

If Cocona and Papika tried to stop him, it would be relatively easy for him to restrain them with the Silvery Chains of Shalgoth the Younger and bombard them with hellfire blasts or the Dark Lightning of Phar-Khem.

Even Mimi creating alternate timeline versions of Takofanes is unlikely to work as Takofanes is so evil that even his alternate universe counterparts are evil and they serve the same goal, destruction of all life. The only thing I could see working are time manipulation and age manipulation, as time manipulation is a very rare and powerful ability in the Champions Universe. Possessing him may also be possible. For my ultimate counter, I would suggest someone on the exact opposite side of the morality spectrum, that being

Frisk from Undertale, specifically Pacifist Frisk

Pacifist Frisk is superior to Neutral Frisk who could withstand the attacks of a universal reality warper like Mimi, Omega Flowey. Omega Flowey has only 6 of the 7 souls worth that Asriel Dreemur has yet Pacifist Frisk withstood the ultimate attack of Asriel Dreemur, showing that Frisk would be stronger then the verse. Frisk's soul was also moved by Frisk at speeds nearing Asriel's attack which quickly encompassed the universe, showing that Frisk should be able to react to the attacks of Mimi, Cocona and Papika.

Frisk by the end of the Pacifist route has enough DETERMINATION to pull the soul back together, suggesting that raw power or instant death would probably not work. Possession and Memory Manipulation would be nullified by Chara, who is already possesing Frisk and could simply remind Frisk of their friends, their connecting having previously restored Frisk's friends' memories. Frisk is already a child so turning Frisk into a child wouldn't do anything and changing Frisk to an adult would not do anything either. Even if Mimi could de-age Frisk further, which is unlikely considering the reality-warping Frisk has gone up against, Frisk has the power of SAVE and LOAD, which is an even stronger form of the time manipulation that Mimi has. It's a form of absolute time manipulation which not even the physical reality warping of Mimi could affect.

Pulling alternate versions of Frisk while it may seem helpful since it would summon Genocide Frisk, would not actually be helpful because Pacifist Frisk and Genocide Frisk are both only 1 possibility, and there are far more Neutral Frisks that would side with Pacifist Frisk, each having enough power to fight a Universal Reality Warper like Omega Flowey.

Pacifist Frisk also has an immense ability to make friends, or as vs battles wiki puts it "social influencing". This is as good as manipulation but even better as it is completely honest. Pacifist Frisk may be able to get Mimi to remember her original emotions and get her to finally surrender by DETERMINATION and sheer friendship skill.

And that's how to be OP in the Flip Flappers-verse.

How they compare: Death (Pratchett Multiverse)

Death is a cosmic entity in the multiverse of Pratchett's works, in particular Discworld and one of the antagonists in Good Omens.

Death is the personification of the concept of Death and a underling of the greater conceptual entity Azrael, one of the 8 Old High Ones who collectively create all reality by their belief. Death's role is to take old worn-out souls and recycle them into new lives.

He is the leader of the four horsemen and when a world is to end he also leads them to end it. Despite this has a fascination with the oddities of humanity and is quite sympathetic to them in general.

Death is the only supernatural entity who is known across the multiverse, appearing in many different universes, though he often takes on different names such as Anubis, Kali, and Locaha. Death's true nature is indeed beyond space and time. He has been described as the dark side of creation, existing beyond reality. He is less human and affected by spacetime as the other Horsemen. He was there at the beginning of time and will be there at the end of time.

Death has numerous casual universal+ feats. He was completely unaffected by Adam Young, the Antichrist's reality-warping which could end the universe; he challenged the Spirit of Rock, the source of the Big Bang, to a rock off which threatend the universe, he tanked the beginning and end of the universe and has shifted his size into extradimensional space viewing the entire Discworld universe as but a multifacted jewel. He is also stated to be the destroyer of worlds which may mean universes. He was able to casually one-shot the New Death that was to be his replacement and scales to the Hogfather who on Hogswatch Night creates a new universe.

Speed is mostly irrelevant to Death as he can appear anywhere in the multiverse he wishes at any time. In fact it said that all living entities possess a little bit of Death within them. Death natually exists in Death's realm, a timeless land from which he projects into the multiverse to reap entities. He does this so quickly that he even kills all possible versions of a person that would have died that moment to fit the quantum interpretation of Schrodinger's Cat. Just within physical space he once traveled with his horse Blinky a space it would take light 300,000,000 years to travel in an instant. Light thinks itself the fastest thing in the universe but it always find that darkness has beaten it there first.

Death has a large and versatile array of abilities. First off he is as mentioned an abstract concept and can move past such things as matter and magic just by being realer then them. Death has many aspects but he can make them seperate and act independent of him if he so chooses such as the Death of Rats which is just the aspect of Death that specifically kills rats.

Death as a concept can naturally affect concepts which he does when he has to reap them. He has sharpened a scythe so sharp as to cut the STORY ITSELF, which is a metafictional level of sharpness, sharpened beyond "any definition of sharpness". In his rock off with the rock off Death also used the empty chords of silence of the universe as his song which threatened to tear the universe apart.

Death can casually exist outside spacetime, and can take others there. He can bfr enemies to the Desert of Death, an infinite plane of reality where time moves at a different rate. He can also take people to his domain, where he has maintains the laws of physics. He can casually change his size and shape, and his granddaughter with some of his powers was able to make it so time and gravity did not apply to her.

Death has many other various abilities, usually not quite as strong as these. When he was substituting for the Hogfather, the Discworld equivalent of Santa, Death read the minds of the children and conjured the presents they most desired showing his mind reading and creation abilities. He also transmuted a metal sword into a wooden sword when the kid's mother complainted it was too dangerous. He can control fire and air causing his blade to catch fire and manipulating air particles. He was able to shape the interior of his domain to give life to species inside, giving them souls and spirit to fit their bodies. He is an acausal entity, immune to time paradoxes. He can shape the minds and memories and senses of people with just his presence causing it hard for most people to percieve and remember him. He can also enter and exit stories at will. It's noted that his touch or just his aura can instantly kill most entities. Indeed according to Terry Pratchett's Twitter, Death came to take the writer at his passing.

Finally Death is quite intelligent, gained from his immortal timeless existence. He sees across the mists of spacetime allowing clairvoyance and can remember events that have not yet happened. His thoughts are beyond any mortal comprehension.

Death only has a few weaknesses. Death like all Discworld cosmic entities is powered by the belief of mortals. Also despite being an abstract concept Death is not actually invisible, it's just that most mortals can not will themselves to face Death and so they will themselves to ignore his presence. Magical entities, children, and cats can usually see him. Once he was replacing an actor on stage, and because the people expected to see "Death" they actually could see him, causing him to get very nervous. Speaking of, immortal entities are invisible to Death, and his fascination with humans mean he has allowed humans to get the best of him in games for their life. He also always forgets how the knight in chess moves.

Name: Death
Origin: Pratchett Multiverse (Primarily Discworld)
Classification: Personification of Death
Powers and Abilities: Abstract Existence, Can exist outside spacetime, teleportation/time travel, acausality, BFR, Immersion Death Aura, Death Manipulation (Can affect on an abstract and metafictional level), Sound Manipulation (can manipulate the silence of the universe as a song), Elemental Manipulation (Fire/Air), Can make aspects of himself independent or absorb them again, telepathy, creation, transmutation, can see beyond spacetime, kills people across spacetime including alternate versions of entities, shapeshifting, Memory/Mind Manipulation, Creation/Reality-Warping (created his own domain with it's own physics and living beings), can not be killed without destroying the universe, clairvoyance, exists in all living beings, resistance to reality-warping
Weaknesses: Powered by mortal belief, Not technically invisible, immortals are invisible to him, fascination with humans and love for cats
Destructive Capacity: Universe Level+
Range: Multiversal
Speed: Essentially irrelevant, MFTL+ at least when traveling through physical spacetime
Durability: At least universal
Stamina: Infinite
Standard Equipment: Scythe, Sword
Intelligence: Vast knowledge of the multiverse and it's laws of existence

So how would he do in other verses?

In DC Comics, Death would be similar in nature to a being from the Sphere of the Gods. While in raw power he would likely not be able to equal to them, for a universe is like a jewel to him whereas universal sized tech is nanotechnology to the DC Gods, his abilities would mean he could fight a New God's or any being from the Sphere of the Gods true form fairly evenly.

He would be relative to the Lords of Order and Lords of Chaos whose metaphysical war on the spiritual plane rests the fate of the multiverse in terms of power. He would be able to fight evenly with Mordru and Dr. Fate despite their incredible power, versatility and speed due to his spacetime manipulation and conceptual to metafictional manipulation.

In Marvel Comics, Death would be above the Cosmic Cubes and the various dimension lords like Mephisto who can casually warp the reality of their own universe sized realms. Death would be relative to the Celestials and the Universal M-Bodies of the Cosmic Abstracts like Eternity and Infinity who exist in "outerverse".  Against these Death would likely win one and on given his metafictional abilities and versatility though he would not be able to beat the Multiversal Abstracts.

In any of the main universes, Death would be nigh unbeatable unless one of the great cosmics gets involved.

In the Supernatural verse, Death would be comparable to the God Tiers of the verse including God who regularly creates universes, his sister the Darkness who ends those universes in a cosmic cycle and...ironically...Death who can kill both of them.

While they are still weaker then the casual universal feats of Pratchett Death that said in an ironic reversal they actually have a comparble to better hax given their plot manipulation and similar to superior forms of matter, mind, reality etc. manipulation. Given Pratchett Death's ability to duplicate and multiversal scale he would still be an immense threat to the Supernatural multiverse and would need to be stopped almost immediatly or would cause immense destruction if not completely destroying the verse completely.

In the Cthulhu Mythos, Death would be approximately equal to the Elder Gods and the basic Archetypes, who can survive the voice of the ENTITY which was like universes colliding. He would likely beat most of the slave races like the Nightgaunts and Hunting Horrors who can survive universes ending and being born around them due to much more casual feats and better hax though he would have no chance at beating any of the Outer Gods who are formless entities from beyond reality like him but on a much higher level.

Within spacetime he would be one of the strongest beings but he would lose if he tried to go beyond spacetime much like Hypnos did. The Outer Gods are beings stronger then Azrael, Death is not going to do anything against them. Technically the Great Old Ones will also outlast death however that is unlikely to apply to Discworld Death as the Great Old Ones are only going to by feats outlast the death of the universe they are in whereas he exists at the beginning and end of all spacetime and all universes.

In the Dark Tower verse, Death would be approximately around the level of power of the 12 Guardians who protect the beams of the Tower including Maturin the Turtle who can create a universe and catch it on his shell saving it as well as Mir the Bear who contains all the world in his eyes. This would also be the level of their opponents the Demon Elementals like the Deadlights, Pennywise's true form.

Death would very likely be able to beat most of them due to his more extensive abilities those the incredibly strong regen factor of the Deadlights must prove troublesome. Overall he'd be an immense threat to this ring of the Tower and the beings surrounding it but would not be able to climb much higher in it.

300th Blog: Ranking every Nakayoshi Protagonist

Beginning in 1954, Nakayoshi is a monthly Shojo magazine that prints Shojo manga. Nakayoshi imo differentiated itself from it's competition by having a large amount of stories about fantastical topics or the surreal. Even the more "normal" stories were often written with a more exaggerated and surreal style.

According to Nakayoshi and their game "Panic in Nakayoshi World" all the worlds of Nakayoshi exist in the larger "Nakayoshi World". This is going to be a ranking of the heroines of the Nakayoshi World based on their powers. There has been 57 serialized protagonists in the history of Nakayoshi. I must apologize that for some of the characters, especially the earlier ones, it was difficult to do research on as their manga is not readily available.

57: Erythrocytes (Bacteria at Work!)

Erythrocytes is the weakest Nakayoshi protagonist because she is literally a red blood cell.  She is literally microscopic compared to everyone else on the list.

56: Spank (Ohayo! Spank)

Spank is a goofy and clumsy small dog. He's not as strong a person as he is much smaller.

55: Azusa Noyama (Azuki-chan)

Is a normal 12 year old girl. Seems to be a bit short for her age, compared to her friends.

54: Najika Kazami (Kitchen Princess)

Is a 13 year old girl but is a good chef regardless, who hopes to become a chef. Is a bit taller and older then Azuki-chan, and is also suggested to be clever for her age given her nautral cooking talent.

53: Ringo Nonohara (Delicious!)

Is a 13 year old girl. She and Najima would most likely have a cook off instead of a fight :P However Ringo comes from a bit more of an exaggerated cartoony world and she has an unrealisitically fast lurning curve going from being unable to cook to being good enough to cook for her own show quickly.

52: Hikage Sumino (I Am Here!)
Is an eighth grader and a bit of a shy nerd, determined to become more extraverted and noticed by her classmates. She's smart but she's not the most physically accomplished. Shes older then Ringo and is smart.

51: Ami Uzuki (Ultra Cute)

Ami is age 15 and fairly willfull as she is used to competing with her bff Noa when they inevitably crush on the same guy and trying to win mind games for him. She is older then Hikage and more willful.

50: Otome Hasaki (Cherry Juice)

Same age as Ami, but Otome is very energetic and I think she would probably outlast her.

49: Yukina Himuro (Missions of Love/Do xx to me!)

Yukina is a third year junior high student however she is known for her intimidating aura and stare which has earned her the title of the "Absolute Zero Snow Woman". This would be probably enough to beat most of the weaker people on this list just by intimidating them.

48: Luna (Angel's Hill)

+Can turn into a mermaid in water
+Can speak to animals

Luna's position depends a lot on environment. She should be relative to the normal humans on land and if there is a large body of water it would give her a massive advantage. She would also get a small bonus if there are animals nearby, so I felt on average she would probably win over the normal humans more then 50% of the time.

47: Mayu Kousaka (Pixie Pop)

+Due to drinking the 7 color drink, magically transforms whenever she drinks something; such a growing after drinking cold water, shrinking after drainking hot water, turning into ninja after drinking green tea etc.

Mayu's power depends entirely on if there's something for her to drink. Due to being a lot more common in standard battlefields then a large body of water, I put her above Luna

46: Miyu Kozaki (UFO Baby)

Miyu Kozaki is the adopted mother of an alien baby that does random supernatural things. While she doesn't possess powers herself, she has grown very good at quickly adapting to new situations and countering strange supernatural shenanigans. Unless Mayu gets a particularly good effect from her drink, I would bet on Miyu to win by thinking up a solution.

45: Lii Hoshizawa (Zodiac P.I.)

+Knowledgable of astrology (uses them to solve crimes)
+Magical Star Ring (summons the 12 astral spirits who can advise her)
+Is a private detective

Lii's astrological knowledge isn't particularly helpful without prior knowledge though her ability to summon the 12 astral spirits gives her a level of advice and wisdom in how to confront a particular type of opponent which would give her an advantage against any opponent that doesn't outweight class her in raw power inlcuding Miyu

44: Natsumi Kawashima (Instant Teen: Just Add Nuts/Nuts To Make You An Adult)

+Adult Female Body
-Child's Mind

After eating miracle nuts, 10 year old Natsumi turned into an adult but still had the mind of a child. Her vs Lii is interesting in that Lii would probably have the tactical advantage but Lii is 13 while Natsumi is physically 18). I would guess the physical advantage would be too much but am unsure.

43: Nina Yamada (Mamoette Lollipop!)

+Is somewhat physically proficient (kept from being killed by wizards in training)
+Experience seeing magic
-Kind of damsel in distress-y

Nina accidentally ate a crystal pearl that wizards in training need to get in order to pass their exam causing a lot of them to try and kill her for it. She's protected usually by two wizards in training Zero and Ichi. She does tend to let Zero and Ichi but she did actually avoid assassination and she lists her hobbies as including "sit-ups and stretches" suggesting she is somewhat physically proficient. I think she would be able to beat an adult woman especially one no more intelligent then her.

42: Candace White Ardley (Candy Candy)

+Super cheery and optimistic and determined
+Tomboyish, climbs trees all the time

Honestly just has better physical feats then Nina does.

41: Nadja Applefield (Ashita no Nadja)

+Tomboyish, climbs trees
+Physically Skilled (joined a performing troupe)
+Extremely optimistic and determined

Nadja and Candance are pretty similar phyiscally though I think Nadja is probably a bit more dexterous.

40: Anmitsu (Anmitsu Hime)

+Rambunctious Tomboy Princess, regularly escapes her castle

Anmitsu is likely physically comparable to Nadja, however Anmitsu is probably a lot more skilled in stealth as she regularly escapes her castle and it's guards.

39: You Hazuki (Attacker You!)

+Star Volleyball Player
+High Jumps

You is a proficient school volleyball player. While early on it is claimed she is not good, this was solely due to her not being a team player, her actual skills are very good. She is known for her high jumps. I think she has better physical capacities then Anmitsu

38: Tsubasa Uehara (Arisa)

+Athletic Human
+Combat Experience
+Has some manipulative ability

Called the "demon princess" at her school for her tendency to get into fights and her temper suggests she would be a better fighter then You, even if the two have relatively similar physical capacities given You's athletics.

37: Chitose Fujinomiya (Goldfish Warning)

+Gag character
+Consistent gag feats of surviving improbable things like being stampeded by cows
+Fourth Wall Breaking

Chitose was a rich girl but after her she is orphaned she has to go to a poor school where some of teh students are animals. It's a very gag-y series. Chitose's gag feats of surviving random zanyness should allow her to take any of Tsubasa's attacks and beat her.

36: Tomomi/Mikage Matsunaga (Miracle Girls)

+Tomomi is a school athlete (wun a running championship)
+Mika is the resident genius at her prep school (possibly exaggerated)
+The two can teleport when together (this was initially heavily energy-draining though they got better at it)
+Can telepathically speak to each other and read each others minds though they can bar the other from reading their thoughts
+Near the end of the series their psionic powers extend to doing things like making the flowers bloom and by scaling should allow for telekinesis
-Need to be together for their powers to work

Reincarnations of a pair of Egyptian Queen Twins. Given their ability to play keep away with telekinesis and teleporting away, it would be really hard for Chitose to beat the twins unless she snuck up on them.

35: Momoka Sonokawa (Sabagebu!)

+Is an airsoft school athele
+Ruthless and Determined to win at any cost
+Uses a Beretta 92FS
+Has dodged airsoft pellets

Momoka vs the twins is an odd one. She could hypothetically get thrown or get stuff thrown at her and if they can telekinetically take her gun then Tomomi could probably beat her physically. On the other hand she has faster reaction time feats and an airsoft pellet to a vulnerable part of the body would knock out one of the twinsin one shot, especially Mika, which would leave the other powerless.

34: Aoi Hayakawa (Aoi-chan Panic!)

+Is half alien from a planet whose gravity to Earth's is like the Earth's to the Moon's.
+Is super strong and super fast

Aoi-chan's homeworld has 6 times the gravity of Earth. An airsoft bullet is probably gonna just make her mad. This is especially a problem as she can superleap faster then anything Momoka has ever fought against.

33: Princess Silver (Yume no Crayon Oukoku)

+Is an athletic princess
+Silver Crayon that causes things to come to life
+Can seal things away

Unless Aoi just tries to rush Silver, Princess Silver could probably summon up something to stop her or seal her away.

32: Sapphire (Princess Knight)

+Born with both a male and a female heart
+Subsonic (can afterimage)
+Superhuman physical stats (can perform really high jumps and leave cracks in stone)
+Skilled enough to fight an entire castle guard with Friebe
+Sword

Sapphire vs Princess Silver comes down to if Sapphire can disarm Silver of the Silver Crayon before getting sealed. While that depends on battlefield, prior knowledge and mindset, in most scenarios I think Sapphire's level of skill would allow her too.

31: Ecchan (Sarutobi Ecchan)

+Superhuman strength (can casually knock out people in one touch)
+Subsonic speed (can move fast enough to disappear)
+Can talk to animals
+Telepathy
+Hypnosis
+Ninja Skills
+Can run on ceiling

Ecchan vs Sapphire would be like a pop culture ninja fighting a pop culture knight except both are cute little girls. I think Ecchan has the overall advantage since she can stay out of range of the sword with ninja flips and by sticking to the ceiling and her hypnosis would be a reliable one-shot. I also think she might be faster.

30: Mai Taniyama (Ghost Hunt)
+Experienced Ghost Hunter
+Skilled Fighter
+Astral Projection
+Clairvoyance
+Psychic Dreams
+Superhuman stats by scaling
+Purification
+Enhanced Willpower

Mai vs Ecchan depends on mindset. While a bloodlusted Ecchan would just physically overwhelm, in character Mai would be able to tell right away something is "not right" with Ecchan and attempt to end the battle quickly.

29: Hibari Hanakoganei (Cyberteam in Akihabara)

+Diva Form is City Block Level (Held back a city-block style castle)
+Hypersonic
+Barriers
+Her Diva Aphrodite, can act independent of her

Hibari would just massively overpower Mai in her Diva Form.

28: Licca Kayama (Super Doll Licca-chan)

+Normal Girl who has a magic ring. Whenever she's in danger the ring summons her dolls to protect her which turns into the superheroines Doll Licca, Doll Izumi, and Doll Isamu. These use respectively a yo-yo, a baton and a sword to fight. Thery can move at least subsonic speed and defeated a Dragon that caused stormclouds across a city

Diva Aphrodite by herself isn't strong enough to defeat Licca's Dolls just by raw stats.

27: Meimi Haneoka (Saint Tail)

+Low superhuman stats
+Is possibly the most skilled magical girl in existence, regularly performing via nothing but stage magic absolutely impossible things to steal stolen things and return them to their original owners
+Massively duplicated herself
+Stole a wedding dress and replaced it with a dinosaur costume while the model was still wearing it without people realizing
+Made it snow indoors before turning into flowers
+In response to a claim that kangaroos don't wear tuxedos, Saint Tail somehow brought in a large group of kangaroos in tuxedos dancing
+It's at this point I'd like to remind that she has no actual magic, this is all just somehow her being so skilled at stage magic that she can somehow do all this

A fight being Meimi and Licca would end before it began as Meimi would probably somehow find a way to get the ring off Licca's finger because the Super Dolls were even summoned.

26: Karin Hanazono (Kamichara Karin)

+City Level+ (Gods are far more powerful then any weapon of man, Gods can casually conjure massive storms)
+MHS Reactions (reacted and shielded against the power of Zeus)
+Has the powers of Athena in the first arc, and Aphrodite in the second
+Light Emanation
+Healing
+Possibly Weather Manipulation
+Barrier Creation
+Invisible to non-magical entities

Meimi does not technically have magic so Karin would be invisible to her and Karin which would be able to KO her with a casual tap.

25: Doremi Harukaze

+Immersion/Transformation (entered a comic and became a mecha that fought a supposedly world ending threat)
+Subsonic speed (can fly fast enough to quickly disappear over the horizon)
+Animation (can command parts of nature to come life)
+Reality Warping/Magic
-Slightly Inept

Karin can't blitz Doremi and Doremi just have a massively more versatile magic system. Unless Doremi just messes up her spellcasting bad, she should have that fight.

24: Mew Ichigo

+City Level (Scales to Mew Zakuro who burst through a city-sized dome)
+MHS (Lightning Timing and scaling to the Aliens who quickly went to their spaceship)
+Mew Power (Restores matter to their natural forms)
+Minor gag powers
+Regen/Healing
+Catlike senses and sense of balance

Ichigo should just blitz and if Doremi turns into a mecha, she can mew power her back to normal. Ichigo should take this most times.

23: Cure Heart (DokiDoki! Pretty Cure)

+City Level+ (far above Melan whose fire breath burned much of an island)
+MHS (Lightning-Timer)
+Power and Speed can rise through friendship
+Purification
+Skilled Fighter
+Resistance to Sleep, Mind, Time and Matter Manipulation
+Can hit intangibles

Cure Heart can resist mew power hax and is massively above city level baseline while Ichigo is basically at baseline. The two are comparable versatile but Cure Heart is a lot better a hand to hand fighter.

22: Cure Dream (Yes! Pretty Cure 5)
+City Level Normally (Yes team destroyed a monster the size of a mountain), can boost to Continential (Yes Team fought Boss who destroyed the surface of Earth)
+MHS (Fought monsters made of lightning)
+Power and Speed can rise through friendship
+Skilled Fighter
+Can hit intangibles
+Resistance to Time and Mind Manipulation

Nozomi and Mana are fairly similar normally. Mana has more resistances but this isn't really relevant and when Nozomi goes into her powered up state she would probably win.

21: Chocolate (Sugar Sugar Rune)

+At least building level (can tank boiling magma, lit up a town), higher with reality warping amped on human emotions (Vanilla created a beach, 7 High Tier Mages created Underworld which is it's own universe with it's own physics), possibly higher regardless (Ogres claimed to be able to destroy Underworld)
+MHS to Relativistic Reactions (Claimed she could fly to the Moon with her broomstick despite not being able to breath in space, suggesting she can fly there in substantially less then a minute. Numerous things corroborate this like her grandpa going on vacation to another planet)
+Emotional Manipulation and Absorption (can absorb the emotions of others for power, this can knock people uncouncious)
+Transmutation (threatened to turn a guy into a monkey)
+Barrier/Potentially Pocket Dimension Creation
+Absolute Movement (entered the work studio of Sugar Sugar Rune's manga's creator, outside the fourth wall)
+Enhanced Senses
+Can sense presences
+Flight
+Memory Erasure
-Needs to speak to cast spells anywhere outside Underworld

Cure Dream could hypotheically one shot if she connects but Chocolate with dimensional manipulation, barriers, exiting the fourth wall, possibly higher reactions, should be able to avoid being hit and take Cure Dream's emotions knocking her uncouncious

20: Wendy Marvell (Fairy Tail: Blue Mistral)

+Island Level (scales to Dragonization Nebal)
+Relativistic
+Wind Manipulation
+Air Absorption
+Skilled Fighter

Wendy can likely blitz Chocolate, and can absorb air in an area which is important as Chocolate needs to speak to cast and needs to breath. Wendy charging in absorbing air would giv Chocolate.

19: Cure Peach (Fresh Pretty Cure!)

+City Level+ (Fought Toymajin who made an Earthquake with his punch)
+FTL (Outpaced light reflected from a mirror)
+Power and Speed can rise through friendship
+Flight
+Skilled Fighter
+Can hit intangibles
+Resistance to Time Manipulation and Mind Manipulation

Wendy vs Love should be a relatively even fight with Wendy having power and Love having speed and both being skilled fighters. Though Love was FTL even before her super form which suggests the speed gap would be substantial and Love could hypothetically grow in power by thinking about her friends.

18: Cure Melody (Suite Pretty Cure)

+Country Level (Relative to Noise who threatened Major Land)
+Relativistic Speed (Relative to Noise who scales to his own attack speed which quickly encompassed the Earth)
+Power and Speed can rise through friendship
+Can put enemies to sleep
+Can hit intangibles
+Skilled Fighter
+Fire Projection
+Resistance toPetrification, Mind Manipulation and Time Maniulation

I think Hibiki would be able to tank Love's punches unless Love powered up while I don't think Love would be able to dodge all of Hibiki's attacks. Also not that it hugely helps but Hibiki has a one-shot sleep technique. Also while Love is FTL before her super form, Hibiki is Relativistic Country before her super form while Love is only city in her super form.

17: Lucia Nanami (Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch)

+Continental+ (Scales about Sara who was going to flood the Earth with the Dark Sea, has the power of Aqua Regina who was relative to Mikeru who was going to fuse his dream dimension with the human world), possibly Planetary (Mikeru was said to threaten "the survival of the planet")
+Hypersonic+ (Scales above Mermaid fodders who could swim to an opposite side of the Earth as she was giving birth, and Gackto who was able to destroy the Mermaid Kingdoms fast enough that none of them knew what was going on)
+Water Manipulation
+Emotional Manipulation
+Magical Sound
+Powers of Aqua Regina (Sealing, Intangibility, Can enter Mental Spaces, Power Bestowal, Planetary Range)

Hibiki vs Lucia would be a sing-off! However Melody can resist a lot of Lucia's abilities Lucia's raw power and sheer range as Aqua Regina would likely overwhelm her and she can not resist Lucia's seealing which Aqua Regina did to the Pantherassa Tribe). Hibiki would only win if she avoided a straight up fight and used superior speed though without prior knowledge Lucia would likely win.

16: Cure Whip (KiraKira Pretty Cure A La Mode)

+Planet Level (defeated Elisio who destroyed the Earth before recreating the Earth with the rest of her team)
+MHS (Her team launched a cake into space at mach 910 which they should be able to move relative too)
+Power and Speed can presumably rise through friendship
+Enhanced Hearing
+Can summon various food constructs to fight with

Reverse of the above scenario. Lucia could win just by going intangible and entering Ichika's mind however in no knowledge straight up fight, Whip wins by comparable to superior power and at least a little superior speed, likely faster by an order of magnitude.

15: Cure Yell (Hugtto! Precure)

+Planet Level (In base state defeated an enemy stronger then the KiraKira Pretty Cure)
+MHS (Was able to blitz an enemy that was as strong as the KiraKira Pretty Cure)
+Power and Speed can presumably rise through friendship
+Energy and Plant Projection
+Barrier Creation
+Resistance to Time Manipulation

The Hugtto Precure canonically defeated a corrupted Chroru which defeated the KiraKira Cures before even getting their super forms. Cure Yell casually defeats Cure Whip

14: Cure Blossom (Heartcatch Pretty Cure)

+Planet Level (Defeated Baron Salamander who was gonna destroy the Earth)
+FTL (comparable to Cure Marine who outpaced the flash of light from a camera)
+Power and Speed can rise through friendship
+Plant and Energy Projection
+Emotional Manipulation
+Can hit intangibles
+Resistance to Mind and Time Manipulation

Hana might have more power then Tsubomi but Tsubomi is much faster and can likely blitz Hana.

13: Cure Miracle (Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure)

+Star Level (Defeated Deusmast who absorbed the star he was absorbed in)
+MHS Speed (capable of flying into space in seconds)
+Power and Speed can presumably rise through friendship
+Numerous forms of element manipulation
+Teleportation/Portal Creation
+Telekinesis
+Transmutation
+Existence Erasure
+Resistance to Freezing, Time and Mind Manipulation

Tsubomi is much faster then Asahina, but Asahina has a diverse arsenal including numerous forms of space manipulation and blinding light to stun Tsubomi for a moment. More imortantly she has a far larger range reaching interstellar range while Cure Blossom only reaches hundreds of meters without Super Silhoutte

Haruno Haruka | Pretty Cure Wiki | Fandom

12: Cure Flora (Go!Princess Precure)

+Star Level (Scales to the Maho Pretty Cure)
+MHS (Travel out of atmosphere nigh instantly)
+Power and Speed can presumably rise through friendship
+Energy Projection
+Barrier Creation
+Telekinesis
+Sleep Inducement
+Dream Manipulation
+Resistance to Time Manipulation and Mind Manipulation

Miracle and Flora can both one shot with various abilities but Flora seems slightly quicker since she can perform the same speed a bit faster. In a prolonged fight however Miracle is a lot more versatile but Flora can keep that from happening by sleeping at the start.

11: Ai Enma (Hell Girl)

+Is an Hell spirit of vengeance that ferries the sinful to Hell
+Blew up a temple with a single mystic fireball, can create a volcano
+Tanked lightning
+Even her minions can travel anywhere in Japan rapidly requiring hypersonic to massively hypersonic speed
+Inter-Dimensional Movement (can casually move between Earth and Hell)
+Reality Warping (recreated a town with reality-warping)
+Death Manipulation (can instantly kill a target)
+Precognition/Clairvoyance (Can see the future and show others the future)
+Invisiblity/Intangibility/Possession
+Can resurrect herself
+Soul Stealing
+Can trap enemies in alternate dimensions or in Hell
+Can travel through time and take others
+Can freeze time
+Can warp memories or brainwash people
+Summoning (can summon her minions)
+Can project hellfire and dark energy
+Telekinesis
+Sealing (sealed a man inside a magazine as well as a dark reflection of the real world)
+Effortlessly destroyed advanced tech designed specifically to fight her
+Transmutation (turned a man's face into a void)
+Probably more things I'm not recalling
+Outwitted the Lord of Hell controlling her
+Is THE Nakayoshi Anti-Heroine and Anti-Villainess
-Purification/Holy Things
-Still vulnerable to soul attacks
-Not much actual combat experience
-Needs to send everyone to Hell. If she shows mercy she loses her powers and dies

Hell Girl is insane, one of the most hax characters in her particular power tier. I'm not sure Miracle would be able to effect her but if she did Hell Girl would just resurrect hesrelf and use one of her incredibly many haxes to win.

10: Yuuki Wakasa (Dream Girl)

+Star Level+ (Is the new Amaterasu, who maintains the Sun in both Earth and the Heavenly World, fused with her spiritual body, which is the tree that holds up the Sun)
+MHS (Scales to the sun's motion which moves at MHS speed)
+Spirtitual Being
+Commands all the forces of nature (the wind and the water and the animals and so forth do as Yuuki asks)
+Can talk to animals and natural forces
+Flight
+Light Emanation
+Purification

Ai Enma is very broken but the Horizon Girl's (Yuuki's) presence was able to briefly purify the Susanoo who was the embodiment of the rage of all nature. Yuuki's very presence would burn away at Ai Enma's Hellish existence with it's purification.

9: Cure Happy (Smile! Pretty Cure!)

+Large Planet Level (Defeated enemies that created dimensions containing their own moons)
+MHS (Lightning Timing)
+Power and Speed can rise through friendship
+Can hit intangibles
+Skilled Fighter
+Energy Projection
+Dimension Creation
+Purification
+Resistance to Time Manipulation and Mind Manipulation
+Plot Manipulation (Can forcefully create a happy ending)

Miyuki's plot manipulation is really broken. She can easily keep up withYuuki as she was a lightning timer in a weaker form and would be able to beat her via plot manipulation

8: Cure Lovely (Happiness Charge Pretty Cure)

+Large Planet Level+ (Fought Red who flung a planet at relativistic speeds)
+FTL (Red's minions can fly between planets quickly)
+Power and Speed can rise through friendship
+Purification
+Sealing
+Energy Projection
+Skilled Fighter
+Can hit intangibles
+Resistance to Time and Mind Manipulation

Lovely can probably take down Happy before Happy uses her plot manipulation given her speed advantage and the fact that the two are similar in raw power.

7: Amu Hinamori (Shugo Chara)

...I also can't believe she is this high

+Created and moved the road of stars which is a pathway transcending time and space that moves as light faster then anything. The road of stars is large enough to have a "meteor shower zone"
+Can react to outside things while traveling in the Road of Stars which is lightspeed
+Bunch of Forms
+Enhanced Physical Capacities
+Immobilizing Paint
+Purification
+Attack Nullification
+Can create a powder that causes uncontrollable sneezing
+Create star projectiles for attacks or barriers and cause paralysis
+Emotional Manipulation
+Can travel across space and time with Road of Stars
+Can BFR enemies with Road of Stars

Almost any character or projectile that Amu is facing before this Amu can BFR with Road of Stars. This includes Cure Lovely and any attack she can use

6: Hikaru Shidou (Magic Knight Rayearth)

+City Block Level Physically, Universal with her mecha Rayearth (pushes against the pull of Mokona who creates universes)
+FTL+ Speed with Rayearth (Can fight spaceships that travel between worlds)
+Godly Willpower
+Fire/Lightning Manipulation
+Interdimensional Portal Creation
+Can summon Rayearth through dimensions

Rayearth can resist the pull of Mokona's inter-dimensional pull which suggests Hikaru with Rayearth could resist Amu's Road of Stars BFR and even if not Hikaru can create portals between dimensions. Outside of that Rayearth would be able to beat Amu pretty easily just by power.

5: Cure Star (Star Twinkle Pretty Cure)

+Universe Level (Fought Ophiuchus who erased the universe and recreated it)
+MFTL (Millions, can fight enemies that can travel interstellar distances quickly even in weaker states)
+Flight
+Creation
+Energy Projection
+Reality-Warping
+Resistance to Sleep Inducing

Hikaru vs Hikaru :P Rayearth can resist Cure Star's reality warping as it resisted Mokona's, but Cure Star is a lot faster and can just attack Rayearth a lot before any response

4: Cure Bloom (Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star)

+Universe Level (Fought Goyan who survived the original Big Bang and destroyed the universe)
+MFTL (Trillions) (Fought Goyan who destroyed the universe during their battle)
+Power and Speed can rise with friendship
+Skilled Fighter
+Barrier Creation
+Water Projection
+Can hit intangibles
+Resistance to Mind Manipulation and Time Manipulation

Cure Bloom is similar in power to Cure Star but Bloom is a lot faster and can quickly knock her out

3: Cure Black (Futari wa Pretty Cure)

+Universe Level+ (Fought Dark King with the Power of Creation who was threatening all the worlds at a weaker form)
+MFTL+ (Quadrillions+) (Comparable to Dark King's power which reached across the universe quickly at a weaker form)
Power and Speed can rise through friendship
+Can hit intangibles
+Skilled Fighter
+Energy Punches
+Resistance to Time Manipulation and Mind Manipulation

Cure Black and Cure White are as of the All-Stars Movies the strongest Pretty Cure Team including the Splash Star Pretty Cure. Cure Black also had comparable power and comparable to superior speed to Cure Bloom at least by the end of her first season before she got several more power ups.

2: Sakura Kinomoto (Cardcaptor Sakura)

+Universal+ Energy Projection and Magic Barriers, Multiversal at Full Power
+MHS, FTL Speed with Dash, MFTL+ (Quadrillions) Reflex/Attack Speed

+The Light and Associated Carads (Light Manipulation, Can cause things to grow and shrink, Projecting back in time, Shadow Manipulation, Creation, Can transmute things into sweets)
+The Nothing/The Hope (Existence Erasure (Spiritual, Multiverse Scale Power, can restore things and undo magic as The Hope)
+Can create new powers (created the Clear Cards)
+Clear Cards (Animation, Can piece through things including magic, Gravity Manipulation, Invisiblity, Can Record things, Hologram Creation, Age Manipulation (can make things younger), Trapping, Vibration Manipulation, Can swap the positions of two people)
+Can sense magic
+Sakura's cards can act indepenendetly to aid her
+Acausality (Can exist after the collapse of all space and time)
+Magic Resistance (Universal+)
+Multiversal Conceptual Reality Warping at full power
-Rarely uses full power
-Overly optimistic at times

Cure Black might be able to beat Sakura by punching but she has precog and magic sense and so she'll easily see that coming plus her cards like shield will automatically trigger to protect her and  she has a nutty amount of ablities to beat Cure Black with including literally just undoing her henshin.

1: Sailor Moon (Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon)

+Universal+ (Defeated Queen Nehelenia who was maintaining her mirror universe after her first henshin into Eternal Sailor Moon. EoS Usagi is massively stronger)
+MFTL+  (Quintillions) (Superior to the Amazon Senshi who moved comparable to the lamda power which restored the entire cosmos and includes the power of the Silver Crystal whose light can instantly reach outside spacetime)
+Enhanced Senses
+Clairvoyance
+Spatial Destruction (various attacks of her can destroy dimensions)

+Can channel power, information or the spirit of her future self
+Acausality (The Silver Crystal is acausal)
+Can hit in other dimensions (Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss hit Queen Nehelenia in another dimension)
+Various Forms of Element Projection (Light, Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, Plant, Corrosion, etc)
+Universal Scale Spacetime Manipulation (can also freeze time and time travel to duplicate. Implied to be able to change the flow of time)
+Healing/Restoration/Purification (Universal)
+Regen (Can regenerate so long as the Lambda Power, the energy of the essence of the universe, exists. Can exist as just a spirit or a soul via the Saturn Crystal)
+Can create a negative aura to drain energy into (Saturn Crystal)
+Henshin can restore her body, break magic, create a powerful light and teleport through dimensions

+The Silver Crystal will automatically act to protect her if she is threatened or dying
-Merciful
-Clumsy Goof

I've considered Usagi vs Sakura a lot. The two both have a long list of abilities, lots of versatility and hax. They have a lot of counters to each others various abilities. My best understanding is that Sakura wins if the two are bloodlusted but if the two are in-character then Usagi would win. On a basic level this is because Sakura's magic, while really strong and stronger then Usagi's at full power, is not really designed for combat and she has less layers of defense while Usagi's abilities are a lot more specialized for combat. This really suits their characters in general. Sakura is not a fighter, her story is the story of capturing the run amok spirits and she has fought very few actual times. Usagi's story is about the blossoming of a young girl who is not suited to be a fighter into being a heroine of love and justice. That said I would not at all mind if someone disagreed with me and thought that Sakura beats Usagi. It is a complex fight.
