Am I biased?

So when it comes to debating, accusing your opponent of being biased is a fallacious argument of course, but it is a fallacious argument that tends to work since the idea infects the minds of neutral bystanders into doubting your credibility. This is why even if I think someone is biased, I would never actually say that because it's an unfair debating tactic.

I think it's somewhat obvious that no one can objectively assess their own objectivity. However I don't believe I am particular biased and I think the evidence shows this quite clearly as I will endevor to demonstrate. You are always free to think I'm wrong of course, however I would hope and ask that you do not claim that I am simply being biased. We should attack one another's arguments, not their character.

How can one give evidence against one being biased? The best I can presume is by showing evidence where if they were biased they would act one way, but instead act another way. In my blog about my favorite verses and vs battles wiki I argued that numerous high tiers of my favorite verses were considered too STRONG including Sailor Moon, Puella Magi Madoka Magicka, Saint Seiya and DC all of which I put within my top 10 favorite series. Bear in mind that I very much dislike having unpopular opinions and yet stating that some of these characters are not as strong as people say they are, are currently VERY unpopular opinions in the vs community. You have to either doubt that I am a fan of them or doubt that I am biased. I can converse what I like about these series just fine and I certainly doubt anyone thinks I am not actually a fan of Sailor Moon when I talk about it so often. Yet I still try and deunk the multiversal claim for SM, the godly regen for all sailor senshi pre-lamda, the power nullification for Galaxia and Animamates. If I was biased for SM, I would most likely just leave those be and allow people to think the verse was stronger then I had evidence for.

In my own death predictions let me breakdown which character I preferred (most of the time I like the two about the same) and who won in the case I liked one signifigantly more (obvious spoilers):

Guardian Senshi Battle Royale (Like Makoto and Minako about the same, one of them won)
Mami Tomoe vs Panty Anarchy (Like about the same)
Black Lady vs Mistress 9 (Like about the same)
Sailor Moon vs Cardcaptor Sakura (Two of my favorite characters in fiction, one I preferred slightly won)
Hikaru Shidou vs Sayaka Miki (prefer one of them slightly, the other one won)
Flowey vs Narrator (My preferred lost)
Magicka Wizards vs Castle Crashers (My preferred lost)
Rorschach vs V (My preferred lost)
Jedah Dohma vs Lucemon (Like about the same)
Grimnir vs Abigail (My preferred won)
Dracula vs Sauron (Like about the same)
Chaos-Spawn Battle Royale (My preferred lost)
Synnar vs Protege (Like about the same)
Umi Ryuuzaki vs Weiss Schnee (My preferred won)
Baldur vs Siegfried (My preferred lost)
Yuuko Ichihara vs Sailor Pluto (Like about the same)
Vilgax vs Ridley (Like about the same)
Onaga vs Takofanes (Like about the same)
Papillion Myu vs Heavy Metal Papillion (Like about the same)
Yogsquest Battle Royale (My preferred lost)

Put aside whether you agree with any of these. In all the ones I had a clear non-slight preference, my preferred won twice, and my preferred lost 6 times. This does not seem to be the ratio of someone biased, or I would put characters I greatly prefer against matchups I knew they would win.

Sailor Moon is my favorite character in fiction and I recently made a blog listing people who I think would beat her in a close fight so I can show where exactly I felt her limit was. I made an initially 32 part blog series called vs strategy guides where I analyzed all my favorite verses and said what their weaknesses are and gave characters that I thought would be OP in them. If I was biased for these verses, why would I try to specifically nail down what their limits were and say who would be able to beat them? What would be the incentive?

I got this accusation when I said I really hate the Lex Luthor vs Iron Man Death Battle and consider it bottom tier and that I only think that because my preferred lost. Beyond the fact that this is clearly not true, I can go through the episode and explain why I dislike every line in it, why I think the fight scene is boring and not true to their characters etc but it's also inconsistent with how I rate every other Death Battle.

If you look at the Power Rangers Death Battles for instance, I got really annoyed that people were massively downplaying PR and would not even write a verdict for the ep because of it. I also don't care about the Power Rangers verse in particular. I have not watched a season of it, I never bring it up in casual conversation or in any of my blogs except for very occasionally for vs debating purposes (like as a good matchup for instance). That's because I'm not a PR fan. I don't care about the verse, but I still get angry when I think it's being downplayed.

I prefer Jak and Daxter to Ratchet and Clank yet I still consider their fight to be the best episode of DB's season 3. I prefer Hiei to Sasuke but still think that episode was really bad and ill-informed. If you said I only care about whether I think the episode is right I would still think the conclusion is wrong but at least I would think it's an understandable conclusion since I rarely like an ep I think is wrong (though I do all the time dislike an ep I think is right). But me disliking Lex vs Iron Man because I prefer Lex is so incongruent with how I act and rate other episodes all the time.

Am I biased? Again I can't objectively assess that obviously but the evidence seems pretty clear and strong that I am at best not biased and at worst not particularly biased and pretty normal compared to most debaters. You are free to disagree with me about something but do me the courtesy of just assuming my logic is flawed and not that my perception is flawed due to my liking or disliking of something.

Early Spider-Man Comics Be Like:

So I've been researching Spider-Man and I noticed a trend in some of his earlier comics. It's a trend that goes a little something like this:

Spider-Man: Being Spider-Man has cost me everything! I have school problems, love life problems, work problems all while maybe risking my life....am I insane to do this? I guess maybe I'm just that impulsive sort and the world needs heroes to stop the forces of villany.

Guy in a penguin suit robs the bank "Beware the wrath of the Killer Penguin! Gimme your money!"

Optional but Recommened:

Spider-Man fights the Killer Penguin J Jonah: I knew that Spider-Man was working with the Killer Penguin!
Later Spider-Man captures the Killer Penguin J Jonah: Oh no! I'm ruined! It's all Spider-Man's fault!

No relation to DC character Penguin who I legit forgot about while writing this, Penguin is just a funny sounding and not threatening animal to make the point.

Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch-verse Strategy Guide

How to be OP in the Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch-verse

Local to City Scale Threat:

Deep down in the 7 Seas resides the 7 Kingdoms of Mermaids who are the residents of the ocean worlds. Their world is much larger then the human world, just as most of the Earth is covered in water, to the point that a young mermaid Lucia thought that the surface world, a world with stars, flowing blooming in the sky, couldn't exist.

The Mermaids are naturally superhuman able to swim across the seas quickly and able to tank the pressure at the ocean's floor. However their greatest power is their singing. The song of the mermaid is magical and commands the waves. The song of a mermaid is great enough to calm a storm and so sightings of them is considered fortunate by sailors.

Beyond this Mermaids have the ability to communicate with the creatures of the waters, and can take a humanoid form when on land.

Also existing underwater are the Panthalassa Clan, a race of humanoid entities that were sealed away after attempting to take control over the seas and the surface, that can similarly survive underwater and at great depths without issue. They are known for having psionic abilities, able to telepathically communicate, telekinetically move things and project light from their foreheads. They also known for having a superhuman recovery rate from injury and disease though there isn't any notable feats for this so it most likely would just be regen (low)

The magical humanoid form given to some sea life would also be here, such as Hippo the Penguin whose magical barrier was relevant compared to the stronger tier of the verse, and also the Dark Lovers, the minions of Gackto in arc 1 who were originally sea life, who are the main threat of this tier. The Dark Lovers can control water like the mermaids with Izuru being stated to be able to create a storm that can drown a city. To create a large storm by itself would take city level energy, though to drown a city might require the energy of a hurricane, equivalent to island level energy. Thus the tier's power is city to island level. As Lucia without her pearl was able to easily survive an attack from Izuru this would scale to the durability of general Mermaids.

Also a nameless mermaid gave birth to twin sister mermaids on literally opposite sides of the Earth. The average time between the birth of twins is 17 minutes. To travel half the circumference of Earth in 17 minutes would require speeds exceeding Mach 57.7 and this is a highly casual lowballed feat. As such the tier would be hypersonic+, possibly MHS

The Dark Lovers have unique abilities as well. Izuru can create sharks out of water and attack with them. Eriru can shoot dark bolts of energy and create a small whirlwind by spinning. Yuuri can create brainwashing dark magic musical. Maria has ice manipulation and freezing.

There is one more strategic strength of the series that is also a weakness which is most of the fighters are used to fighting underwater, and seem to possibly be slower on land. As such luring them onto land would be helpful but generally to pursue a form of offense a character picked would need to be amphibious to some degree.

In terms of weaknesses, one of the more unique weaknesses is changing water's state of being. Most of the verse seems to be limited to manipulating liquid water, with Maria's ability to manipulate ice being her unique trait. Thus changing water to make it more dense and thus ice, or even more to make it less dense into a mist will take away the main form of offense.

More conventionally the tier lacks skill based builds, with most of the fighting of the verse being a highly stylized form of fighting that would not grant resistance to someone who is a more conventionally skilled fighter.

The biggest weakness of the tier, and most of the verse, is the verse's lack of stamina. Mermaids can only use their magic so long as they can sing which is a fairly limited timeframe. Panthalassa psionics can rise to very strong levels of power but this seems to be based on emotional outbursts and they can't maintain it for extended periods. The Dark Lovers have decent stamina but nothing that would outlast someone with any big feats of stamina.

Thus a highly defensive strategy of nullifying or dodging attacks, wearing down enemies before getting in close would be a really strong strategy in verse. This brings me to my first counter

Karin Miyoshi from Yuki Yuna is a Hero.

Karin can one-shot Vertexes made up of countless tiny stardust each able to tank the strongest nucleur weapons humanity had, meaning she should be equal or drastically stronger then the tier. Vertexes can also move faster then mach 25 missiles, showing she should be at least relative to the verse in speed.

Karin is an extremely skilled swordswoman, trained to do nothing but fight for the start of her life, suggesting she would have a large skill advantange. Her fairies also give her what amounts to completely immunity to any physical attack ranging from having a star thrown at her to surviving within a black hole via shields. As such she would be physically immune to any attacks or to going underwater. Her stamina is also superior to the tier, as Heroes can fight for hours at a time.

That said, one could argue that the fairies shielding counts as durability and so she couldn't be used as a counter. Plus technically Yuuri's brainwashing music would still work on her. For a counter that is the same basic strategy but a lot more fitted to the verse you could use

Percy Jackson from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series

Percy, as a son of one of the big three, scales to being stronger then Hazel who destroyed a small island and has numerous city to island showings such as withstanding the eruption of Mount St. Helens showing he would be relative to the verse in power. In speed he should compare to Jason Grace, the son of Jupiter who blocked lightning, moving at least mach 62 and likely mach 81 showing he would equal if not surpass the tier in terms of speed.

Due to the tier being magical creatures, Percy's sword Riptide should be able to affect them. Percy is said to be the skilled swordsman of the demigods as the leader of the Greek Demigods, matched only by Jason leader of the Roman Demigods. He's fought Gods inhabiting mortal bodies with thousands of years of combat experience. His stamina also massively excels over the tier as he fougth an unending armies of the dead for months at a time. However even this is lowballing his stamina in this scenario.

You see Percy is a son of Poseidon. He can breath and move about in water as normal, and control it. Also water naturally regenerates his body faster then the Panthalassa, and restores his stamina. Most of this tier attacks by throwing water at the enemy. This would only strengthen Percy. Percy's water manipulation allows him to transmute the state of matter of water which would allow him to change it into a state the tier can't use it. As a son of Poseidon he also has numerous other abilities including a whirlwind ability that would put Eriru's to shame, earth manipulation, ice manipulation greater then Maria's and more giving him a versatility advantage. He even has his own mind hax; the wolf stare learned from the Wolf Guardian Lupa which can make weak-willed individuals, like the Dark Lovers, run away.

The only threats the tier could even remotely pose are the brief bursts of energy of the Panthalassa and Yuuri's brainwashing. However there is a counter I think would work even better, that being

Juvia Lockser from Fairy Tail

Juvia upon her birth was able to create a rainstorm that simply passived followed her. She can match the water magic of Spirit Aquarius who can destroy cities with water manipulation and she's grown stronger since then suggesting she would be able to overpower the tier's water manipulation.

Juvia scales in speed to beings that dodged the MHS lightning of Laxus. This suggests she would be around the speed of the tier's highballed speed, if not signifigantly faster.

Juvia's water manipulation is vastly stronger then the tier, and she has shown she can use it for bindings which suggest she could use it to quickly constrict a mermaid's throat to keep them from singing. She is a much more skilled fighter with better stamina then the verse. She passively maintained magic equaling the most intense feat in the tier for most of her life and withstood massive blood loss to protect Gray.

Juvia can turn into water during which their water attacks would simply go through her. But couldn't they control her when she is water? Actually no, as the verse was noted to not be able to control the living water making up Izuru's sharks meaning they would not be able to control the water making her up. Juvia was also able to break out of Invel's mind hax showing that even Yuuri's brainwashing wouldn't stop her.

Planetary Scale Threat:

In ancient days before man, the Earth was ruled by a mysterious race of ancient beings, with the strongest of the mermaids and panthalassa being able to compete with these beings. This includes the Mermaid Princesses, the 7 princesses of the mermaid kingdoms each given a pearl that enhances their singing and gives them the ability to transform into her magical girl form. The rogue Mermaid Princess with just her henshin was able to destroy her kingdom stretching across the Indian Ocean which would be likely a petaton level event, consistent with her stating her intent to flood the human world, the 7 continents, with the waters of the "dark sea". From this most of the tier scales to the continental/multi-continental tier.  This is consistent with Gackto causing disasters in all 7 of the oceans. Speed is basically the same.

The main threat of this tier is Mikeru. Mikeru as one of the ancient ones can casually travel between dream and reality. He had a wide and powerful variety of hax abilities including reality-warping, which he was going to fuse his world with the human world, replacing it. Mikeru was called a transcendental power compared to the verse, and his power was stated to be a threat to the "survival of the planet" suggesting he may be a planetary threat.

Mikeru also has power and memory absorption, summoning of monsters that can threaten the mermaid princesses, transmutation, planetary-sensing and implied planetary mind control, mind-reading and striking with divine lightning.

This tier also has the twin Panthalassa Prince Twins with massively stronger telekinesis, able to lift whole castles and telepathy (able to telepathically give messages even after their death). They also have new abilities like teleportation, transmutation as Gackto did to the Dark Lovers. Gackto told his twin that the two of them have the power to control all the oceans. Even figuratively this would be an impressive feat to be stronger then everyone in the verse up to that point, consistent though with Gackto destroying all 7 mermaid kingdoms by himself. However if taken literally this would be planetoid levels of power, as the Earth's oceans is 1.4x the mass of Dwarf Planet Ceres. The other Panthalassa twin releasing their full power was able to save Lucia from Mikeru's divine lighting and repeled Mikeru suggesting that they scale to him as well.

The oceans are overseen by the Goddess of the Oceans, Aqua Regina. Despite weakening with age, her power was able to make Mikeru's dream world fade in and out of existence. As Mikeru was going to overlay it on the human world, this would be likely multi-continental, and possibly planetary as said merging would threaten the survival of the planet. Beyond that Aqua Regina is a metaphysical entity with her own bevy of hax. She was the one who sealed the Panthalassa tribe away when they attempted to conquer the Earth's seas and surface. She can see beyond the veil of spacetime, as she could see all people praying for her, and also at Lucia's birth appeared and foretold that she would be the light safeguarding the Earth. Aqua Regina can also teleport and granted the Mermaid Princesses their powers and is the one supposedly controlling all 7 seas.

Mikeru's minions would also likely be here as they seem to be as strong as a single Mermaid Princess, outside maybe Fuku his small bird thing though even that is a skilled manipulator. Beyond that there is the Winged Ones, 3 flying villains that serve Mikeru. The crossdressing vampire Lady Bat uses hypnosis and transmutation, the chinese butterfly-woman Lanhua can split into a dozen of herself, and Alala...can give people nightmares. Also on Mikeru's side is the Great One, a living fire that created the Winged Ones and is another of the ancient ones. It's power is relative to the verse. All of them can fly.

Finally, the verse has it's ultimate weapon; the mermaid princesses and their song. To give an understanding; the song of all 7 summons Aqua Regina to their side and this is the lesser effect of the song. The primary purpose of the song is to cause beings of evil great pain and force them to run away or to purify them, removing all hostile intent. The song of the 7 Mermaid Princesses together were able to even reach Mikeru and purify him.

So yeah the verse is pretty hard to fight, partialy because the speed is so low compared to power but also because the sheer degree of hax. Offensively it's mostly matter hax, mind hax, and some power manipulation/reality-warping. They also have sensory abilites on a planetary beyond spacetime scale, and duplication.

In terms of weaknesses, a lot of the characters have individual weaknesses such as Mikeru being weak to disruption to the ruin for plot reasons or Lucia for being emotionally sensitive. However there's a really innocous ability that I think would be really strong in the verse if on a high enough level, that being: freezing.

The verse is very prone towards sealing strategies, even basic physical sealing strategies and of those especially freezing. When Gackto was kidnapping the mermaid princesses to gain their power, he froze them to keep them trapped. Almost no one in the verse can manipulate water in the form of ice and this nullifies the main direct form of offense. Freezing should work on all physical entities. Now granted the metaphysical entities can attack in dreams so optimally a character that does not sleep or at least can outlast them and hit them metaphysically should be able to do well.

Outside that, stamina and skill are still weak points. The Mermaid Princesses still need to sing to use their powers and the verse is lacking stamina and skill feats. It's also of note the strongest entities in the verse as of now; those being Lucia and Mikeru are both prone to being manipulated, Mikeru in particular not wanting to destroy things that are beautiful and good. This wouldn't be foolproof as Aqua Regina can see across spacetime, some of the mermaid princesses are not prone to being manipulated like Rina and Caren and the verse also has it's own manipulator Fuku. That said it would be fairly helpful in general.

So those are the big strategies; freezing/sealing, stamina, skill and manipulation. That brings me to my first counter

Unalaq the Dark Avatar from Legend of Korra

Unalaq with Vaatu's power was going to cover the Avatar world in darkness, wiping all life from it and reshaping it showing his power should be beyond that of a Mermaid Princess and likely be similar in power to the Panthalassa Princes. In speed he scales to Avatar-verse lightning timing feats showing he wouldn't be blitzed.

Unalaq is a very skilled water bender, which would give him skill greater then the verse, and it is very relevant that Avatar Water-Benders can transmute water freely between different states of being and still control it showing that he could trap any physical entity he can across in a frozen trap, stopping them.

As the Dark Avatar Unalaq has spirit bending which allows him to bend the energy or spirit itself suggesting he could attack on a metaphysical level and hit someone like Aqua Regina. And because the bonus chapter revealed the nature of Aqua Regina as a being of many incarnations, it's likely he would be able to destroy her past as he did to the Avatar, wiping out most of Aqua Regina's power. His darkness plan would likely destroy the ruins where Mikeru's weak point by accident.

That said he could very easily get haxed or let his arrogance cost him. For an even stronger counter I would suggest

The Crystal Saint from Saint Seiya.

As a Silver Saint+ level entity, the Crystal Saint should scale to the nameless saint initiate who was gonna life-wipe the earth with his cosmo, would put him within the same power as the tier. He should also scale to double digit mach feats in early SS, and briefly rise to lightning timing speeds.

As the master of Hyoga, Crystal Saint naturally specializes in icy cosmo moves and could freeze anyone in the verse. And I do many anyone, as cosmo's metaphysical properties has been shown to work on spiritual entities for even Bronze Saints and for stronger entities has worked on conceptual entities, as such there's no way Crystal Saint would not be able to freeze those he comes across. He also has the Sixth Sense which gives him a psychic sensing to not only compete with the verse's sensing but also know their weaknesses in general.

The Crystal Saint is exceedingly noble and Mikeru would not want to kill him. Beyond that, Crystal Saint's cosmo should give him resistance to almost every hax in the verse, outside the strongest haxes of Mikeru who again would be hesistant to fight him or Aqua Regina's sealing.

The only real threats the verse would give him are if Aqua Regina instantly see the threat and attacks him immediatly, Mikeru acts ooc and instantly goes for kill, or the verse overwhelms him with humbers. For what I believe is the best counter to the verse, I would suggest

Mab from the Dresden Files.

Mab's full power not seen has been suggested to be able to cause a new ice again across the Earth and cause hideous things to happen to the planet. She also has control over one full hemisphere, suggesting she would be relative to the tier. While she is much slower it doesn't really matter.

Mab is an extremely powerful magic-user with a long list of abilities that her sheer versatility would likely give the win. Some of her most notable traits:

Mab passively controls winter law, all cold and her presence can cause such an intense cold. It is mentioned that in her dimension the laws of physics are mere suggestions, so it's not hard to imagine she could create a metaphysical cold that could freeze who could get near, which would be in character for her. Her dimensional manipulation is also strong enough that only Mikeru could attempt an offense against her. Either way she has a passive freezing aura that works metaphysically meaning almost no one could even get near her to try and do anything against her.

Hopwever Mab as a fairy has such an intense glamor that Mikeru's love for beauty would cause him to be utterly mesmerized and she is a far better manipulator by feats then Fuku, even knowing secrets time has forgotten. It would be child's play for her to manipulate him and then attack his weak point killing the only real threat in the verse to her.

Mab can summon her whole court, the winter court to aid her, which is millions and millions of fairies all of whom would likely have some level of freezing. She could launch an offense against the verse using it's big weakness remaining relatively un-attackable in her own dimension.

She also has her own regen and possession where she will always regen so long as death and destruction exist and can possess someone turning them into the new Mab overtime. This means that even if Mikeru acted ooc or the rest of the verse could lucky, she could simply return overtime with only Mikeru's power stealing being a permenant solution.

And she would know to do this as she has a planetary cosmic awareness better then even the ancient ones do. She also has a blanket magic resistance so strong that it would take the entire white council to defeat her that would mean the mermaids and aqua regina would have no capacity to affect her regardless.

Overall Mab's overwhelming defenses and her extremely strong freezing, the weakness of the verse, along with her massive versaility means the verse would have almost no chance of beating her.

And that's how to be OP in Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch

Lowballing and Highballing

This is a general blog to explain the 6 levels of interpretation you can have for a character. Obviously these levels are subjective between people but it can help explain what level an interpretation is on, eithers yours or someone elses. For examples I'm going to be using Superman because he's one of my favorite characters and he's fairly well known. Examples are for Post-Crisis

Massive Downplay:

This is when a person just outright ignores the feats or context of the character showings and use really fallacious logic to try and ignore their actual showings. This is almost never done by actual versus debaters when talking about a character that is actually commonly debated but is commonly done by casuals and by versus debaters when talking about characters that simply aren't analyzed for anything about their actual feats to be known.

Example: "Superman struggles to fight Batman whose just a normal guy so any really strong superhuman should beat him!"

Downplay/Massive Lowball:

This is when a person is using standard versus terms and logic, using feats and showings and the like however they take every possible interpretation against a character even when such is not the reasonable interpretation. However they still have to actually account for feats. Usually this is done in a way that makes it sound more rational by presenting feats at a certain level as difficult or a limit for the character and just ignoring any higher feats

Example: "Superman struggled to move the Earth and was KOed by hitting and destroying the Shadow Moon showing he's roughly planetary, maybe a bit less. He also said he can't move faster then light and so is probably, at most, relativistic."

Mild Lowball/Conservative Interpretation:

This is an interpretation that you think you could make a very strong, hard to argue, case for. This is where a character has maybe a lot of showings at, consistent showings at, and it's all supported. A mild lowball is where you are saying "the character should be at least this strong". I personally tend to go for this, unless I think the mild Highball is really consistent.

Example: "Superman should be at least above solar system level because there are numerous star to solar system level feats including feats from an earlier post-crisis superman that he scale signifigantly above . He should also clearly be at least billions to quadrillions times lightspeed as he has numerous feats and scaling of moving inter-galactic to universal distances in short times. "

Mild Highball/Generous Interpretation:

This is an interpretation where you basically give the character a general benefit of the doubt and give them things you think are likely but are a bit less solid. It's the realm of "the character can likely/potentially do this". It's not less objective then a Mild Lowball and can arguably be moreso at times as it's really a matter of preponderance of evidence vs taking something you feel is very grounded.

Example: "Superman has 1-2 low galaxy to galaxy level feats as does Wonder Woman and the Green Lanterns also have 2-3 feats at this range plus a lot of the star to solar system feats were casual or early Superman, so it makes sense that he would be at galaxy level. Superman should also be extremely fast as he equaled Jay Garrick in speed and was implied to be faster showing he should scale somewhat to the speed of speedforce users scaling to some of the better speedforce feats."

Wank/Massive Highball:

A massive highball is when a person is using standard versus logic but is interpreting every single thing in favor of the character regardless of how probable it is. Now they still need to do things like account for outliers and need evidence of scaling, but it can be very easily handwaved with even a token explanation. A massive highball is taking a mild highball on every single thing about a character so they are strong as you could possibly have them without just comitting fallacies.

Example: "Superman has numerous feats of fighting extra-dimensional entities which clearly qualifies him for being universal+ as well as speeds far greater then infinity consistent with back during Zero Hour him contributing a not insigifigant amount of energy towards recreating reality and being able to cross the universe which is infinite in size in finite time."

Massive Wank:

Massive wank is ignoring feats or context and making clearly fallacious arguments. Most vs debaters don't actually do this, outside of not knowing how an ability works and making unintentional NLFs. There are certain characters that are unfortunately known for this tendency.

Example: "Superman is not MEANT to lose. His character is to always win. He has infinite power and is as strong as he needs to be."

Obviously anyone reasonable would agree that you should be shooting for somewhere in the range of mild lowball to mild highball. It's up to consistency and also just personality where in that range. Some people are more prone to giving benefit of the doubt or going with preponderance of evidence and saying "well it's more likely this is the case so I'll give it". Others, myself included want a very strong grounding before we say a character can do something. It really is a matter of taste.

There is a purpose to massive lowballs and massive highballs that is sometimes helpful which is when you want to say that character x vs character y is such a stomp that even if you massively lowball character x and massively highball character y, it's still a stomp for character x. But for the most part you obviously want to avoid wank and downplay.

How they compare: Ai Enma (Hell Girl)

Urban legend tells of the Hell Girl, Ai Enma, the emotionless ghost girl who is the spirit of vengenance. Anyone can contract with the Hell Girl to send their most hated enemy to Hell but the price for damning someone to Hell is to consign one's own soul to Hell as well.

Ai was once a mostly girl living in ancient Japan. However she was ostracized and bullied for her creepyness and strange abilities. As such it was only fate that she was picked for the ancient ritual to the mountain gods; a sacrifice of a child to ensure the crops growth. Her parents and the boy she loved tried to protect her from this but as the crops refused to grow the other villagers forced them to relent and give her over for sacrifice.

As she died Ai's hatred of the cruelty and betrayal overwhelmed her and she rose as an onryo, destroying her entire village. The Lord of Hell arrived before revealing that in her hatred she had consigned herself and her loved ones to an eternity to Hell. To stop this from happening she would have become the spirit of vengeance on Earth.

Ai Enma befitting her new role was granted the powers of Hell. One of her most famous abilities is her fire manipulation. These fireballs can destroy a large building in one shot. Upon her resurrection as an Onryo, the fires of her hatred burned down her entire village, though this was not an immediate effect. She can also create dark energy blasts and can use telekinesis as channels for her powers, her telekinesis even being able to effortlessly destroy machines specifically designed to stop her.

While not an effect of her direct attack potency her power can cause destruction on a much wider scale then this, for instance she can incite a volcano to erupt or reality warp a town.

While she does not need it in particular, her physical body is also fairly tough as it can tank her own fire attacks and lightning strikes.

In terms of speed, Ai is fast enough to quickly travel anywhere in Japan she is needed. This is likely hypersonic to massively hypersonic depending on one's interpretation. She can teleport, including sending herself through dimensions either to the living world, to one of countless dark worlds, to Hell or to her personal dimension, the land of eternal twilight.

As mentioned earlier, Ai no longer needs a body, being the spirit of vengeance. If her body is destroyed, she can simply create a new one or can possess a physical entity nearby. Her true self is non-corporeal. This also gives her a natural invisibility.

Ai Enma is very proficient on manipulating the soul or mind of her opponents. She can send her opponent's soul to Hell instantly inducing death, or physically affect it and her possession is specifically noted to control both the body and soul of whom she possesses.

Ai also has powerful mind manipulation, often mentally tormenting a vile client before sending them to Hell. She can induce insanity, or spread fear and hatred. She can create illusions or directly transmit images to the minds of her victim and can directly enter their mind to attack their mental body. She can show people the future to their untimely ends usually, or the past forcing them to relive their worst memories.

Ai also has control of the bounds of space and time. She can stop time, choosing who she wants to be able continue to move while time is stopped. She can casually see the future and past at will. She can enter the minds of others and affect their memories, affecting the past itself by doing so, corrupting it to her will.

Her spacetime manipulation leads to her most potent ability; her reality-warping and her dimension hax. Ai Enma can casually go through dimensions as mentioned above, but via any portal like a window or a flash of twilight Ai can send others through dimensions as well. Her dimensional bfr can even work on people that can normally escape dimensions. She has sent people to traditional hells of being eviscerated or being boiled alive, but more often sends people to ironic hells of their sins. She has sent people into dark copies of the world to die, trapped people inside a world that was a cruel science experiment or the circus of hell where skeletons hunt down people mercilessly. Her personal realm is called the realm of eternal twilight which is beyond the concepts of life and death, meaning nothing can ever live or die there, meaning while there she can not be killed and she can endless torture anyone there.

Ai also has a few other assorted abilities from her reality-warping; she can cause a person to disappear outright, can affect spiritual entities or turn into a spiritual orb. She can also summon her minions to her at any time to serve her. She can seal people as she did to seal a man into a magazine or more often in other dimensions and was able to transmute a man's face into a void. She was also able to withstand attacks from the Lord of Hell which should scale to her own abilities.

Ai is also quite intelligent. She is centuries old and has tricked the Lord of Hell, her master who lived since the beginning of Hell. She was able to accurately predict the future without seeing the future just by knowledge of the hatred of the human heart and what it would do.

Ai has very few weaknesses. Her primary one is that she must take the soul she was hired to take or the Lord of Hell will strip of her powers and turn into a powerless human as well as consign her and her loved ones to Hell. While Ai's soul is stronger then most souls, erasing her soul will surely destroy her. She also doesn't have much in the way of physical feats or skill feats as she generally vastly overwhelms any opponent with her raw power and hax, with one quite notable exception.

Name: Ai Enma, Hell Girl

So how would she do in other verses?

In Marvel Comics, Ai Enma would be a low level street tier chracter physically even if her flight speed is well enough to fight with most of the metahuman population. The problem would be ridiculous hax variety that would cause the verse immense trouble.

Ai's dimensional hax while very strong would not be too big, Marvel has advanced technology that can do really well against dimensional travel. The problem is everything else basically. Most mystics would get shut down by Ai and she has a resistance to hax and a variety of hax including instant death by soul bfr or complete time stop at will, somtehing which even most Heralds can't resist. Just one of her abilities; at will seeing into the future is a better version of the ability that was so strong in the verse, an accidental precog that it kicked off civil war 2. Ai would cause massive trouble in Marvel until basically a versatile Herald steps in and outside of them speedblitzing even most of them could get cought by Ai's hax.

In DC Comics, Ai would have stats roughly equivalent to most city-scale champions like the Bat-Family even if her hax is ridcoulous comparatively. The verse would do somewhat better against her since they have a lot of magic-based heroes even at a low level though evne most of them would have severe difficulty fighting Ai.

This would be especially true if Ai attacked them from other dimensions which is somewhat hard to fight for most DC characters of this tier. Constantine would be able to take her out but most people that don't raw outstat her probably couldn't defeat her one on one. That said once you get in the tiers with the serious magical characters there's generally enough characters that can survive large amounts of mystical abilities and can fight beings like that to stop her.

In the Bayonetta-verse, Ai would fit in as an inter-dimensional invisible hellish force though she is vastly more versatile then anyone in the verse. In terms of power she would be about on par with principality tier angels and demons, scaling from 7th Rank Angel Irenic who can traverse the human world thousands of times in a day and the 8th Rank Angel Fidelity who can survive the bottom of the oceans.

Ai's time stop can be viewed as a stronger but less versatile form of witch time. She also has her own form of summoning. Ai would be a major threat to most things that can't blitz her and even some that would be able too, though any competent witch scaling from a rusty Bayonetta in Bayo 1 should be able to beat her since they can summon demons who can hit astral beings and are vastly above her in stats. That said as a summon she would be ridiculously broken, using abilities like dimensional bfr and future sight that have canonically been very powerful in verse. As such it would be a bit weird to place her as she could get one-shot and blitzed by most powerful characters but if they don't do so she can mess with the verse so extremely it's hard to find anyone she couldn't hypothetically stop.

In the Yu-Gi-Oh! verse Ai would be similar in power to top tier magicians though likely greater scaling off the High Priest of Darkness who could call lightning which Ai can tank and cause disruptions to the enviroment including a building. She would be faster but not able to blitz as the verse's fighters can react to lightning.

While Ai is much more versatile and potent in her haxes the most of the verse's fighters at this tier, they have much more experience in magical duels and FAR stronger summons. As such she would need to be careful and not get caught in a direct magic duel. The verse also has access to prana which is a form of spiritual existence erasure particles that could engulf the universe and would absolutely destroy Ai. The verse has other ways of hypothetically beating her, such as sealing and destiny manipulation though she has powers as well the verse has never seen such as entering a dimension beyond life and death.

In the Ring-verse, Ai would be massively more powerful then almost any onryo in the entire series, most of whom are basically only as powerful as Ai's summons. There would be basically two relevant threats; Bunshinsaba and Sadako.

Sadako vs Ai would be a very interesting fight. The two have similar levels of power with Ai being perhaps a bit faster. The two share many of the same abilities including possession, mind manipulation, dimensional manipulation, their own personal dimension with it's own physics, insanity inducement, soul bfr/death hax and so on. The differences they do have suggest it would be a very interesting fight.

Mini-Death Prediction: Yogsquest 1 Battle Royale

It was the age of heroes....unfortunately none of them were available. And so the town of Wook was forced to rely on a group of level 1 noobs, the "worst D&D party ever assembled". Despite their (many) shortcomings, the party managed to uncover the nefarious plot behind the Jabbafiend. But if the party had come to blows, who would win?

Honeydew:

Honeydew, also called Simon, is a simple minded dwarven fighter from the land of Khaz Modan. He's a gloryseeker, setting out to find glory and become a hero as well as to "kick some *ss, kill some sh*t, loot their bodies....eat their remains...on a spitroast". His ultimate goal however is to dig a hole. As Lewis points out "it's a humble aspiration."

Strength:

Simon's great power is just his strength. He is the strongest member of the party, stronger then Pretty Margaret as he has a strength of 17 while she only has a strength of 15 and is vastly stronger then the other two members.

Durability:

Honeydew has the most durability feats of the party. He survived falling down a hill previously established to be 25 feet (~7.6 meters). He survived being bitten on the arm by a mimic-door and being cooked in an oven.

Along with the rest of the party he also survived a shockwave that affected an entire dungeon.

Mobility:

While he is not the fastest or the most noble, Honeydew's simplicity of thought seems to give him the fastest ability to react to events. Upon entering a room with a sign saying only one may exit, Honeydew ran forth and pulled the lever before anyone else on his party could react.

Purity of Heart/Bravery:

In his introduction Honeydew admits he is not the smartest or the wisest but claims he's brave and pure of heart. By all appearences this seems to be well agreed on, with even the Dungeon Master calling him a "noble dwarf" and Sjin identifiying that it was not the real Simon because "I knew the real Simon couldn't be a massive coward!"

Equipment:

Honeydew primarily uses a greataxe and seems to wear a metal helmet. He also aquired a hammer called the Slimeslayer 5000 that does 2x damage on slimes.

Mental Skills:

Honeydew has occassional moments of mental clarity where he thinks on the level of most people. Beyond that he seems to be a proficient fighter and has even learned the fighting technique "Cleave" which lets him hit all people in the room at once.

Also like the rest of his party he can break the fourth wall as shown by the constant interviews of his character.

Weaknesses:

Beyond that, he's a clumsy dwarf and is impulsive. Also he's rather vain, calling a clone of himself the most beautiful creature he has ever seen. This along with his desire for glory is likely why he feels the need to lie about his achievement claiming to have killed 40,000 Jabbawoks and that he didn't fall down the hill, it was a tactical move.

Personality:

Honeydew acts as the spirit of the party, the impulse to act, the fire blazing the way forwards. He is the most direct and simplest of their group, and in both combat and conversation will prefer to brute force his way forward. That said his humble honesty in his intent is likely why he is considered pure of heart.

Duncan:

Duncan is a Gnome Wizard. His old wizard friend Gondorf gave him a magical ring of power when he was very young. Gondorf told him he shoudl take it to the pit of oblivion and cast it in. Duncan didn't want to and smothered Gondorf in his sleep, taking the ring of power for himself, giving him his magical powers. He is now allies with the Yogsquest party for his own protection and purposes.

Strength:

Duncan is the weakest of the party, though he actually does have a few strength feats. He burst out of his robes revealing a muscular frame and with his staff was able to crush a skull. Duncan and Sjin together were able to push a large stone slab that was stated to have tired Pretty Margaret to push, suggesting their strength while signifigantly lower might not be completely outclassed by hers.

Durability:

Duncan was able to survive a fireball to the chest from a Goblin and alongside the rest of the party survived near the center of a shockwave that affected a dungeon.

Mobility:

Duncan is naturally highly nimble as a gnome. He was able to dodge the enraged blow of Sjin, the two of them being clearly the most nimble members of Yogsquest, showing he is the most agile of them.

Enhanced Smell:

Duncan is described as having a "keen sense of smell".

Magic:

Duncan has hypothetically numerous magical abilities from his ring of power. These include

Detect Magic: Numerous times, Duncan senses the presence of magic. (1)(2)(3)

Fireball: Duncan's most famous spell. Twice per day, Duncan can conjure a giant wall of fire from his hands. These are large and powerful enough to do drastic damage to a Gelatinous Cube that Honeydew's strength did not kill.

Illuminate: Once per day, Duncan can create a light that can light up a room.

Telekinesis: Duncan's most infamous spell. Once per day, Duncan can telekinetically move a small object like a hat or a rat. This is powerful enough to splat a rat against a wall.

Duncan also possesses a scroll that can cast Fear, which likely imbues an enemy with fear.

Equipment:

Duncan obviously has his ring of power that allows him to cast his magic and is implied to hold a far greater power. He usually wields a staff as a weapon. Despite being a "crossbow enthusiast" he does not actually use one as the last time he tried it nearly killed him.

Mental:

Duncan is likely the smartest of the party, perceptive and knowledgable. It is said his knowledge is invaluable to the party. He was able to easily identify 3 differnet magical scrolls and when they had arrived to the small town of Wook, he already had knowledge of the town's nature showing his breadth of knowledge.

Weaknesses:

Duncan is actually infamously somewhat inept as a wizard, not at all in control of the power of his ring. Half the time his spells fizzle entirely or he loses control of them as shown when he accidentally splattered Sjin's rat against a wall with his telekinesis.

Also he's physically not much of a threat. He is described as relatively weak and has a strength of 6 which is the lowest of the party. Also when he was fighting a mimic-door, literally a sentient door, he actually missed when he tried to hit it. He's very much not a physical fighter.

Personality:

Duncan is not malevolent but he is self interested to the point of willing to cause death and pain to others to secure power and safety for himself. He acts as the pragmatic voice of the party, and with his intellect is good at thinking through tricky problems.

Sjin the Rat King:

Sjin was born to a pair of unloving Elvish parents who flushed him down the toilet as a baby. He was raised by rats and is now an outspoken advocate for the little creatures. He joined yogsquest as a bonding activity with his adopted rat father.

Strength:

Duncan and Sjin were able to push a stone slab that tired Pretty Margaret to move suggesting she hasn't totally eclipsed them in strength. Also after Duncan accidentally telekinetically killed his rat dad, Sjin attempted to strike and seriously harm Duncan, suggesting his strength should scale to his durability.

Durability:

Sjin even as a baby was able to survive being flushed down the toilet and like the rest of his party survived near the epicenter of a shockwave that affected the entire dungeon.

Sjin the Rat King has also enhanced general survivability compared to the others due to his almost feral nature. He was suggested to be immune to most diseases that would exist in a sewer due to his upbringing in one.

Mobility:

Magic:

According to Sjin, his beautiful beard is a product of "Druidic Magic." As a druid, Sjin has numerous other bits of magic, mostly related to his affinity with rats his friends and extended family. He can communicate with them and once per day summon one at will. They are well acknowledged as the best players of the game.

Beyond that Sjin has "Read Magic" which allows him to understand magical effects and has a very low level of healing with his "Virtue" magic.

Equipment:

Sjin the Rat King uses little equipment for he is a creature of nature. He only wields a staff though at one point he also got "a pair of tight pink panties" they had found.

Mental:

Duncan may be the smartest member of the party, but Sjin is the wisest. He is well known for his perceptiveness and was the one who could tell something was off when Honeydew was replaced by an illusory clone. He was aware the door they fought was a mimic and was called the "great rat detective."

Weaknesses:

Sjin was raised by rats and has a terrible ability to fit in with humans, having the inhumanly low charisma of 4. His appearence is one of a terrifying sewer rat-man.

He's also not really a fighter in nature. In combat he attempted to "karate kick" a mimic, a sentient door and completely missed. Probably because of his rat upbringing he is not very brave and once defecated himself and fainted at the sight of a particularly scary illusion.

Personality:

Sjin the Rat King is the moral conscious of the Yogsquest. Knowing the experience of being unloved and outcasted, he was the one who objected to Wook's cruel treatment of owls, and who had moral pangs about stealing from the shopkeeler and killing the living skull creature. Outside of that as a druid and as a rat-man he is connected to nature as you'd expect.

Pretty Margaret Battered-Bottom:

Pretty Margaret was a member of the 69th Orcish Legion: Entertainment Division with a superhuman beauty and talent for music. One day she played music so good it wiped out her entire legion and she was transported possibly by some unknown deity to a strange new land for purposes unknown where she met up with the other members of the party.

Strength:

With her natural orcish strength, Margaret is the second physically strongest of the Yogsquest, with a strength of 15. She was able to split a mimic in half by smashing it with her magical lute and more famously she punched the same mimic in the *ss so hard that it sent a shockwave across the dungeon. As the dungeon contains many large rooms and several layers it was likely this was at least a building level feat.

Durability:

Nothing really notable outside of surviving her own shockwave at literally point blank.

Enhanced Charisma:

Has a ridiculously superhuman charisma of 17. She is so beautiful that she can mesmerize people with her beauty and seeing her bosom caused a shopkeep to collapse in shock.

Magic:

Oh and like in her backstory, she can create electric riffs that can rip apart whole legions.

Equipment:

Uses a Bilgewater cutlass as her weapon and also of course has her electrified magical lute which she plays her music on.

Mental:

Somehow found the *ss of a mimic that was a door at the time. She is particularly good at finding the *ss of things to punch because it's like her mom always told her... It's also possible she has some fighting skill being an orc and of the orcish legion, even if entertainment division.

Weaknesses:

Margaret's biggest weakness by far is her lack of caring. She is not really prone to putting in effort when she doesn't have too and often simply doesn't notice things that are happening. When Honeydew burst out of an oven and a terrifying Minotaur and Wraith appeared she was just tuning her instrument not noticing and when the rest of the party was in danger she decided to take a nap.

Margaret is actually not the most dexterous or agile. She has a dex bonus of -1 and as such is not very agile and doesn't have great aim. She also can be somewhat vain about her appearence and things that can't hear her music aren't affected by it.

Personality:

Margaret is a rather full of herself rock star who knows too well how good she is. She has an attitude of being too cool for whatever antics are happening and only intervents to look cool. Nonethless her musical inspiration, the air she puts on, calls the rest of the party to rise to her level, even if it's a bit smoke and mirrors.

Alright the combatants are set, it's time for a MINI DEATH PREDICTION

Our heroes had returned to the town of Wook with the ruby skull and had decided to go to the ol Shafties to guzzle down a few Mountain Dews. Despite their watery content, they felt a nice buzz and were cheering and laughing at stupid jokes.

The barmen came over and quickly put down the check. Margaret looked at it and tapped Duncan on the shoulder.

"Said you'd get it".

Duncan laughed "Right, like I'd do that. Come on, I need to get that new crossbow. You get it this time."

Margaret grunted "Oh so that's how it's gonna be huh? You goin back on that shorty? I know I'm not paying."

The mood quickly soured. Sjin tried to vainly hold up his hands and mediate

"Come on surely we can resolve this without..."

"NOBODY ASKED YOU!" came two voices.

The shoating attracted the attention of their simply ally who came over axe in hand "What going on? I hear yelling!"

"We're just fighting..."

"FIGHTING!" yelled Honeydew raising his axe to fight. The others realized their mistake a bit too late, but with the buzz in their head felt ready to put an end to the squabbles the old fashioned way. The Shafties quickly cleared as people read the mood. The barman tried to interrupt but quickly decided better of it and ran away

Fight!

Honeydew charged the position of the other 3 and swung with a mighty slash of his greataxe. Sjin and Duncan nimbly avoided but Margaret was thrown across the room indenting into the wall.

Sjin quickly scuffled behind an upturned table. Internally he worried about Honeydew's cleave. A cleave could kill him and Duncan and possibly any civilians in the building, bringing it down.

Duncan having taken position behind the bar, quickly casted a spell of telekinesis to yank Honeydew's axe from him.

Honeydew was not a smart dwarf, but most people would be quite surprised to find their weapon suddenly taken from their hands and flung to the side.

Duncan sprung up from behind the bar and attempted to launch a fireball at the unaware dwarf however the magic fizzled and only a few dull sparks came from his hands. However, as Honeydew turned with his hammer in hand to hit the gnome who wounded him the wise rat king knew he was going to use cleave to hit in range and charged him staff in hand to stop him.

It was only when the blow landed meekly on Honeydew's form, causing him to mildly grunt in pain did the rat king realize his mistake. Honeydew attempted to club the annoying rat over the head so quickly that the druid could only react on instinct and dodged out of the way. A skilled fighter, Honeydew prepared for this and simply pushed forward with his might knocking Sjin back to the edge of the bar.

Duncan meanwhile was running his options through his hand knowing his fear scroll would do nothing against the brave dwarf and most of his other options would do little. However his choice was made for him as a loud yell signaled the return of Margaret who darted across the room yelling like a woman possessed and knocked Honeydew onto the town streets on the other side of the bar.

"Another one of your schemes gone awry..." said Sjin to Duncan, angry that their party had dissolved into this because of something so petty and with flashes of his loving father in my mind.

Duncan approached with his robot arm drawn ready for whatever the druid could throw at him. He could not die now, the magic of the ring of power could give him so much if only he could survive long enough to learn it's true power. As he approached, Sjin stood, his wounds healed somewhat by the virtue magic.

Sjin and Duncan both flailed their staffs at each other, neither being truly proficient at fighting, though Sjin knowing he was quickly by the length of the robotic arm that Duncan was using. Duncan realized was something off as he began to corner Sjin....why was he allowing this tactic to go on...and not trying to escape like a rat?

It hit him suddenly....the gnome sniffed....the scent of the sewer..... he brought his robot arm down on a rat that had steathily tried to sneak up on him.

Sjin grimaced as cousin Maurice was crushed trying to take the ring from Duncan but determined not to waste the death he dashed forward and bashed him in the head, sending the little gnome to the ground. As Sjin approached the now disarmed wizard, he gripped the ring and muttered an incantation.

A brief sparkle appeared, the fizzling of the attempted illumination spell which was planned to blind the rat man. However Sjin in a panic covered his eyes with his hand giving the nimble gnome the chance to sweep his legs out from under him. The rat king dropped to his knees, holding his staff at the ready to hold Duncan back but Duncan had backed up and pulled out a scroll.

A few words later an intense unbelivable fear had taken over Sjin's mind causing him to try to scurry away into the night.

Meanwhile out on the streets Honeydew and Margaret were clashing, their fistblow causing indents in the ground beneath them.

"You got surprise shot!" yelled Honeydew angrily "But you not win that way!"

And it was true, Honeydew was a more skilled fighter and evne stronger then Margaret. His blows knocked her back while hers only wore him down slightly.

Margaret felt herself weaknening. She had wanted to prove herself his better on his terms but this was getting too dicey. She pulled out her lute but before she could begin playing, Honeydew reacted and charged forth smashing it.

However Margaret had another trick up her sleeve. Feeling the nature art of dance flow through her body, she moved nimbly and gracefully. The dwarf tried to assault her but felt himself become slowly entranced by her hypnotic motions....back and forth....back and forth....

The orc took advantage of her opportunity and summoned a new lute and qucikly strummed a tune singing in a melody that could make the gods take notice "You are gonna listen to me you dwarven b*tch!"

Honeydew attemped to drown out the noise and began striking the earth with his hammer. A great pit quickly formed in the ground with the noise of digging drowning out the music but Honeydew found himself exerted far quicker doing this then she was in her singing and fell under her sway. The bard smiled to herself and commanded Honeydew to fight the others for her.

At this time the rat king was scuttling away only to see the looming angry looking shadow of Honeydew moving in their direction. Caught between Duncan behind him and Honeydew in front of him , the rat-man came to a wise tactical decision and attempted to slink to the side. The gnome pursued him only to see a very threatening dwarf approaching the two of them.

"I only have one fireball charge left..." he thought to himself "better use it on the one that I can't take out any ther way!" and praying it worked he charged a fireball to hit the dwarf.

Honeydew seeing the glaring garish light of the Shafties illuminating the wizard that Margaret had sent him to fight charged at his figure only to see at the last moment a giant wall of flame approaching him.

Feeling his body melt, Honeydew was reduced to ash.

Margaret of course saw the huge inferno and attempted to steathily attack Duncan, for she did not know that Duncan had already used one charge of fireball. When she felt confident she was in range she began playing a lullaby tune to send her foes to sleep so she could deal with them without threat. However, little did she know the two had expected this and plugged their ears with robe fabric/rat fur.

The gnome felt confident at this and glibly said "Yeah, I knew what you were planning." before pulling out his robot arm to fight that he had retrieved. Margaret saw this and realized this meant he didn't have a fireball charge left and smiled with anticipation, pulling out her cutlass.

The gnome realized his mistake and when the orc charged him docked and dodged around her blows, lamely attempting to hit her with his arm. This attack actually did some damage to the bruised orc.

From the shadows the rat king saw this and knew this was his opportunity attempted to lunge at Margaret with his staff to take down the biggest threat. Seeing the lunging rat man in the corner of her eye, the bard quickly threw her off arm to grab him and sent him flying giving Duncan the opportunity to attempt a lunge and hit her in the chest with her robot arm sending her flying. However as he attempted to press his advantage Margaret leaped up in a rage and slashed through the gnome's body with her cutlass, killing him instantly.

Margaret went to pursue the rat finding that he went into the large hole that Honeydew had made. She leapt down only to find it was much deeper then expected. In fact it actually went down into....

A vile scent assaulted her nostrils as she landed in the murky sewer water. All around her in the darkness countless pairs of tiny eyes were seen in the dark and a vast squeaking was heard.

Margaret roared in anger as she was swarmed by hundreds of rats. From a distance the rat king watched on, confident in his victory....until

A blazing light emerged in the sewers causing the painful scared squeaks of rats. Margaret almost seemed to float in midair as electrical blasts came from her lute, enough to kill a legion of orcs. Instinctively the rat king ran away knowing that this means.

Margaret blasted lightning after lightning at the vermin only for the electricity to spark and Margaret saw a flaming ball meters away as the lightning erupted the methane.

The orc was flung back onto the surface, crashing partly through the ground. Sjin breathed a sigh of relief that it was finally over but as he turned away a might yell came from behind him as he felt his own behind being assaulted by a mighty punch.

Sjin was catapuled into the sky exploding in a rain of blood. Margaret grunted and went back to tuning her lute.

K.O.

While all the members of the Yogsquest were inept as adventurers in some way, Margaret was only really inept in how unseriously she took the situation and whenever she got serious she was clearly the strongest one there, such as the mimic fight.

Margaret also was just overall the most versatile. She could keep up with Honeydew in melee, she had way better ranged attacks then anyone there, her lightning being functionally as deadly as Duncan's fireballs but way more consistent and spammable. While she was not the most agile, she could keep her distance pretty well just by her powerful ranged attacks.

Her magical sleep and mind manipulation are functionally one-shots except her mind hax can also get others to fight for her. Honeydew was the greatest threat to her via physical rushing and beatdown but he was also the one who wouldn't think of plugging their ears to not hear her music.

Margaret also had her enhanced charisma which acted as minor mind hax even without relying on her magic and would likely be able to work on Sjin and Duncan even if they tried to protect against her. Duncan and Sjin would both struggle to even harm her regardless, their strength doing very little and Duncan's fireballs not consistently working.

The biggest reason Margaret won was however not her strengths but her lack of big weaknesses. Honeydew's idiocy, Duncan's lack of physical ability and Sjin's lack of fighting spirit were all pretty big weaknesses that made it hard to think they would win. And while Margeret was lazy, she does get put in effort when she clearly has to and when she is really angry. The others could all be threats to each other but they were all inconsistent disruptable threats while Margaret is not a threat at the beginning when she doesn't care and then a nigh unstoppable threat when she actually does get motivated.

Overall Margaret just had the versatility and consistentcy to win in the long-term.

The winner is Pretty Margaret Battered-Bottom
