Canon for Saint Seiya and God of War

My upcoming Death Battle Baldur vs Siegfried requires me to explain the canonicity for these two series quickly.

Let's start with Saint Seiya Canonicity. Saint Seiya Omega has the local Gemini Saint confirm that Saint Seiya is a multiverse based on the Many-Worlds Interpretations of Quantum Mechanics of a Type 3 Multiverse in Tegmark's Classification

The official Saint Seiya timeline suggests the relationship between each Saint Seiya series within this multiverse

The 3 main timelines include the manga timeline including the original manga, episode G and Gaidens, and Next Dimension, the anime timeline including the original anime including the Asgard Arc, The Hades OVAs, The Soul of Gold Anime, and Saint Seiya Omega, and the Lost Canvas timeline including Lost Canvas and it's Gaidens. Siegfried from the Asgard Arc is from the anime timeline.

Because they exist as alternate timelines, the same concepts should be equivalent such as cosmo, the seventh sense, etc. However the exact relation of characters powers to each other may be different (Though probably not massively different unless otherwise depicted)

God of War's continuity is a lot simpler. The original games are primary canon while all other material is secondary canon

this includes the multiplayer of Ascension

with the Redeemed Warrior from multiplayer even appearing in the Single Player

Secondary Canon basically just means it's canon unless it contradicts Primary Canon.

So yeah that's all the important canonicity information for my next match. Thank you to MatthrewSchroeder from vsbattles wiki for the SS images and the creator of this imgur (I don't know what he goes by primarily online) for the GOW images.

  1. The person that made the Imgur is the Cosmic Comet on Reddit and his name is BenTennyson on the narutoforums, he originally was Steve Charlesmene on this and commented on your Kratos Death Analysis.

Funny you bring up Matt, as he was one of the primary reasons GoW took so long to be upgraded, and seemed to have a vendetta against upgrading it for some reason, but maybe he just truly disagreed with all the sources shown.

Anyway, excited for the upcoming Death Battle.

    1. I was aware of his names but wasn't sure how he wanted to be addressed as...

I do know about Matt. I disagree strongly with his views of God of War and Puella Magi Madoka Magicka. I don't like how insulting he is towards people who disagree with him, I would rather versus debating remained polite even in the face of massive disagreement. That said his work on DC Comics and Saint Seiya have been commendable and proper thanks should be given if it's used imo.

    2. Yeah, I don't know why he is so hostile towards people usually, which is funny since he warns people not to be, but usually is himself. Giving thanks is fine, I wasn't saying not to, just found it funny that you got stuff from him since he seems against what you think of GoW.
