HIM is an ancient demonic entity whose true name is too terrible to even utter. While sealed away and alseep he was awoken by the emergence of the Z-Rays and began to bring torment to the city of New Townsville.
While not as strong as the original version of HIM from the 1998 cartoon, the PPGZ version of HIM is arguably much stronger relative to the other characters of his verse being the undisputed top tier of the verse.
HIM was massively stronger then the PPGZ, who accidentally split the moon in a race to the moon where they were moving too fast to stop. He was so much stronger that they could not stop him with brute force and had to rely on sacrificing all white z-rays to counteract him. This should make him likely planetoid level by scaling, consistent with how in the finale of PPGZ he created a supervolcano whose power was heating the entire world quickly, causing violent weather patterns on a planetary scale.
He could even be stronger if you think the PPGZ split the moon at relativistic speeds which would require large planetary stats.
Speaking of, the PPGZ can fly to the moon regularly within several seconds requiring relativistic speed. HIM's dark dust, which he can freely turn into can keep pace with Dynamo Z who was moving so fast to cross the diameter of the Earth in less then 1 second which would also be relativistic speeds. The feat may be even superior as Dynamo Z was moving so quickly so as to build up momentum to exceed the speed of light and enter hyperspace.
HIM is a powerful demonic entity. He can fly and levitate freely and has complete control of the dark dust present in Black Z-Rays, the corrupted form of Chemical X. With his dark dust he can animate objects, turning them into monsters (such as turning a flower into a plant creature that overran towns), or brainwash people into serving his goals. He can use his dark dust to change the age of people such as infecting lollipops to turn the PPGZ younger. He is said to be the ultimate evil of the universe and to control all evil, suggesting his sphere of influence may be far higher.
HIM is a powerful element manipulator, able to manipulate fire and lava so well as to trigger a planetary supervolcanic eruption to superheat the entire Earth. This effect was so potent that Professor Utonium said if he was not stopped soon, the Earth would not recover from it's enviornmental damage. This is was so potent it was causing fish to rain in New York, and UFOs to fall in Paris. This may suggest he has some form of reality-warping. HIM can also manipulate wind to create his dark tornados which he uses to push people around. He can also project normal energy blasts.
HIM can freely adjust his form at will, stretching and contorting his body to strange proportions. He was even able to shift his body on a molecular scale to turn into the dark dust that corrupted the z-rays into becoming black z-rays. This also suggests he might have a form of regen potent enough to return from being turned to molecules as he can freely shift his molecules at will, as well as the fact that beings with chemical z powers, if they lose them will regenerate their powers due to chemical z's self-replicating regenerative property. He can also possess things as he did to Octi to manipulate Bubbles.
HIM can also use his dark dust for clairvoyance, seeing anything they are currently nearby, opening little windows to see through. He also has a more general energy sensing as he sensed the PPGZ. He uses this to bolster his sharp manipulative intellect (he was also intelligent enough to know how to use the PPGZ's weapons better then they could). He can also use them to BFR people through time sending the Rowdyruff Boys to Ancient Egypt, Fuzzy Lumpkins to Cavemen Era, and Mojo Jojo to Renaissance Italy.
HIM's most iconic ability in PPGZ is his heat empowerment. HIM doesn't like the cold and the hotter the area, the bigger in both size and power HIM grows.
However this relates to his biggest weakest, which is that cold makes him shrink in both power and size. Now granted even heavily reduced HIM required all the white z-rays of the world to stop. Speaking of, HIM can be contained by sealing abilities using the white z-rays, which is how he was stopped, being sealed by white z-rays and thrown into the absolute cold of space. HIM is also narcisstic and prone to sadistically playing with people, such as when he took the PPGZ's weapons and used them better then the PPGZ to humiliate them, only to end up teaching the PPGZ how to use their weapons better and beat him.

So how would HIM do in other verses?
In the Marvel Universe, HIM would rank at approximately a High Meta Level entity in terms of raw stats but below the Herald Level entities. He would also roughly be in that range of hax though he would be more versatile then most of them presumably.
He would probably be overall a tough opponent for any single High Meta to fight one on one outside of an ice themed entity, but he could easily be overwhelmed by numerous entities at once or by any Herald Level entity really. Unless he really has blanket evil manipulation in which case he would be a much more dangerous threat.
In the DC Universe, HIM would be oddly placed, as he would be below the Kryptonian Level entities, though could potentially fight against one with him more diverse hax arsenal but would be above most entities weaker then them in terms of raw power.
Unless he fights someone who can manipulate his weakness he should be good in a fight against except a cosmic due to raw power and hax, though some of the most hax magic-users and low tiers could probably win. Overall he'd be a decent local to city threat but not the plantery threat he is in PPGZ.
In the Dragon Ball Z, verse HIM would be roughly Saiyan Saga in terms of raw power, somewhere between Raditz and Saiyan Saga Vegeta in terms of raw power. However given his sheer scope of powers he might be a much larger threat then that lets on. His molecular regen might be a trouble given how often DBZ villains with regen cause problems and he has a much larger arsenal then the verse's fighters. I could see him getting very far in the verse, unless he is caught playing around.
Under that circumstance he could be sealed by the Mafuba or just fired out into space with a ki blast (though I'm unsure if that would work since in PPGZ he needed to be sealed by the White Z-Rays. Generally HIM would be only about the power of a normal Saiyan but would have the regenerative capacities of Buu and a large number of one-shot capacities.
In the Dexter's Laboratory-verse, HIM would be relative to most powerful humans of the verse considering Dee Dee survived the collison of two planetary sized meteors with her at the epicenter as well as outpaced a lightspeed laser though he would be massively weaker then the mechas of the verse.
While HIM's magic wouldn't be unknown to the verse as Mandark also possess dark magical capacities, HIM would have an advantage that his magic is very good at corrupting inanimate objects and turning them into subserviant monsters and much of the verse relies on technology so if he plays subtly he could slowely grow into a massive threat by corrupting Dexter and Mandark's technology (or indeed any of the supertech of the verse since it has whole nations of supergeniuses). That said even if he does become a major problem, he is likely to get overconfident and give Dee Dee the chance to nonchalantly come up behind him and ruin his plans.
In the original PPG-verse, PPGZ HIM would only be relative, likely slower to the normal villains who scale to the PPG's casual taking of the Amoeba Boys to the Sun at 50c and while he would be massively stronger then them, he would be massively weaker and slower then the SUPERVillains who scale to stellar and trillions of times the speed of light. HIM could maybe cause some threat if he acts subtly particularly if he corrupts some of Mojo's machines but most likely Blossom just freezes him with her ice breath and throws him into space (In PPGZ, HIM was frozen by an iceberg, Blossom's freezing was able to freeze a PLANET BUSTING METEOR)
In the 2016 version, HIM would be massively more powerful then everyone save Bliss and ironically his 2016 self who have relativistic to ftl feats and large planetary feats of moving Saturn. If you take the higher value for PPGZ HIM it's actually somewhat fair in terms of stats but HIM is massively more versatile then either of them, and is arguably smarter then either, at least in manipulation. It would be difficult for the 2016 version to defeat PPGZ HIM.
This was cool cause its a New Character to me, but also has major connections with a Nostalgic series. This version of HIM seems to be much more like a typical trickster magical girl series villain, sporting a Lot of seemingly random unconnected powers that together form an actually really seriously threatening entity, so pretty interesting to see this Jester knowing about only Classic HIM.
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting how you compared him to the two biggest superhero series, especially with how he would do much better than i thought he would initially. I think it would be really rather cool to see him in Dragon Ball as his massively better hax compared to stats would really shake up how the characters would have to go about dealing with him.
But seeing the Cartoons was Amazing, Im glad you were able to showcase Dexter here it was really impressive how you were able to list the series stats and compare him to the likes of Dex and Mandark, and he would do Interestingly in the classic PPG, as weird as i am sure it would be fore everyone having a copy HIM there, and one of the more interesting things is how Perfectly the 2016 HIM seemed to matchup considering how weak almost all other characters are
Interesting to see what this interpretation of HIM can do. Choices for verses are very fitting as usual. I would have to echo Thor and say it would be cool to see how he would do in DBZ with all his hax, especially since he would be pretty unorthodox in that verse. Your description of how he would do in Dexter and PPG seems pretty accurate (though that’s not too surprising considering how much you like PPG). I like how you even accounted for Dee Dee in your Dexter’s Lab description. It does give me some amount of gratification that he would do so well against 2016 reboot PPG.
