I just wanted to create an intelligence ranking for the smartest characters in each of my favorite verses. I should note I don't count feats where it's like "Character sees all of x" as an intelligence feat as that really seems more of an sensory feat then an intelligence feat. That becomes relevant when you get really high up in the intelligence ranking.
32: Yuna Akamine (Yuki Yuna is a Hero): Yuki Yuna doesn't have any big intelligence feats. Yuna Akamine was able to manipulate and trick the heroes and is depicted as cunning. Shinju and the Heavenly God may be immortal and long-lived to the extent of gaining beyond peak human intelligence but such is unknown.
31: The Beast (Over the Garden Wall): Over the Garden Wall also doesn't have much big intelligence feats, but The Beast has basically both the feats above being a cunning manipulator and an implied long-lived immortal with a history of decieving different people into bearing the lantern.
30: The Throne of Yord (Shamanic Princess): The Throne of Yord is an ancient entity existing as long as the guardian world, suggesting his intelligence might be superhuman.
29: Ninetails (Okami): Immortal manipulator able to decieve even the goddess Amaterasu, a being who has lived at least thousands of years
28: Judgement (Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt): Is the Immortal Goddess overseeing Heaven and Earth since at least the age of Dinosaurs, hundreds of millions of years ago. Might be higher as there is a ghost factory, though it's creation details are unknown.
Now we move onto the verses with signifigant intelligence feats:
Type 0.75: Unrealistic Geniuses/Low Superhumans. Can advance humanity to near futuristic technologyor create limited versions of Type 1 technology.
27: Yuuko Ichihara (xxxHolic): Yuuko Ichihara and Fei Wang Reed manipulated people and mentally battled over the fate of the multiverse, with Yuuko's plan finally succeeding.
26: Eriol (Cardcaptor Sakura): Eriol has the memories of Clow Reed, who was explictly Fei Wang Reed's superior, creating FWR from a stray thought, and was considered the greatest magician, superior even to Yuuko. Clamp mages could be a lot higher depending on interpretation as much is made of their precognitive abilities and awareness, but this is how far they would be using just their feats of manipulation.
25: Kyoya Ootori (Ouran High School Host Club): Kyoya has numerous feats of unrealistic genius, in particular without any funds from his family, making enough money from club activities to buy his father's failing company from other highly wealthy investors.
24: Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho): Is a genius intellect who easily mentally beat Yu Kaito a genius in his own right, and was able to train a bunch of C class demons to reaching S class, an unpredected feat of training in his verse.
23: Seto Kaiba (Yu-Gi-Oh!): Kaiba designed numerous pieces of advanced technology including hologram projectors and a computer that can act as a game master for the card of duel monsters.
22: Monaco (Hetalia): Any of the countries could be here but Monaco is the one most consistently described as intelligence. The Countries are immortal entites that speak every language, created their own language, and accumulate massive experience from their nature as concepts. Each country has the intelligence of a country-wide civilization.
Type 1: Can create technology like that of a type 1 civilization such as weather manipulation, full gene manipulation, megastructures, relativistic spaceships, etc. Has the intelligence of a planetary civilization. Limited versions of Type 2 Technology.
21: Lok (Magicka): Lok created advanced robots like her golem that can fight high tier wizards evenly, and other advanced robotics
20: Dr. Asamori (Saint Seiya): Created the Iron Saints which can somewhat compete with lower tier Saints and help them in combat.
19: Dr. Kisaragi (Cutie Honey): Created Honey's robotic body, which has advanced capabilities to transform as well as a device that manipultes air particles to create items from thin air.
18: Mary (Divine Comedy): All the Ascended have all information run through their brains, knowing every bit of information that everyone on Earth knows, Mary being the smarest of them, closest to God.
Type 2: Can create technology like that of a Type 2 civilization such as extra-planetary colonies, Artificial Intelligence, technology that can affect the molecular/atomic strucute of large structures, time travel or limited versions of Type 3 Technology. Has the intelligence of a stellar civilization.
17: Cure Amour (Pretty Cure): Android from the future that has invented true artifical intelligence and time travel with full database of knowledge of the information of the present and future.
16: Ryou Shirogane (Tokyo Mew Mew): Genius inventor that made technology to counter the aliens who have spaceships that can take them across interstellar space, full AI like Masha, genetic bonding that turned teen girls into mutant animal magical girls.
15: Alphys (Undertale): Inventor monster who created full AI like Mettaton, mutant genetic creature, the Amalgamates, could start to tap into the soul with technology, invented the CORE which turned thermal energy into magical electricity powering the Underground
14: Jack Spicer (Xiaolin Showdown): Invented Full AI Robots that can fight with megaton level entities, Time Travel, after conquering the Earth would be a threat to the universe, and scanners that scan the world to find a set of mystical objects.
Type 3: Can create Type 3 techology such as FTL Travel, Physics Manipulation, Matter-Energy Manipulation, Cosmic Scale or Level Creations or limited versions of Type 4 technology. Has the intelligence of a galactic civilization.
13: Eagle Vision (Magic Knight Rayearth): Lead Inventor of the World of Autozam which is a hyper-tech world that created giant robots that can fight the planetary rune Gods, and personally invented one for himself.
12: Saphir (Sailor Moon): Created Black Moon Clan technology that can withstand and tap into the power of a Black Hole as well as spiritual ethereal robots.
11: Professor Utonium (The Powerpuff Girls): Created the Powerpuff Girls who can physically beat up a stellar level Demonic Being (HIM), as well as Dynamo who can tank their blows. Is seemingly smarter then Mojo Jojo who has independent type 3 feats.
10: Mother Brain (Metroid): Has the information and technology of the Chozo, one of the smartest races in a Type 3 civilization, the Galactic Federation. Has created planetary+ pieces of technology and is smarter then the Federation which also possesses them, scaling above creating planetary forcefields and creating a micro black hole. Created the Power Suit.
Type 4: Can create type 4 technology indistinguishable from magic such as manipulation of higher planes of being and technology that can affect the entire universe or limited versions of Type 5 Technology. Has the intelligence of a universal civilization.
9: The Narrator (Stanley Parable): Created the Baby Game, a piece of art capable of tapping into the Essence of Divine Art
8: Drosselmeyer (Princess Tutu): Invented a machine that would allow him to affect the plot.
7: Vlad Plasmius (Danny Phantom): Invented his own ghost portal, thus scaling him above the Guys in White who failed to do so, yet were able to create a missile capable of neutralizing the entire ghost zone, a universal sized metaphysical realm. Smarter in scientific intelligence to Jack Fenton who created technology that can affect ghosts.
6: Kyubey (Puella Magi Madoka Magicka): The Incubators are a Type 4 civilization fighting against universal entropy. Created an Isolation Zone capable of trapping a conceptual being. Uses superscience to recreate literal magic.
5: Mooplexians (Wander over Yonder): Stated to be all knowing, the cosmic sea of the collective unconciousness, holding ultimate cosmic knowledge, would have at least all information in the one universe.
4: Omne (Bayonetta): Stated to be omniscient in the guide, would have all information in the trinity of realities, 3 universes.
3: Mimir (God of War): Knows everything in the 9 realms, each being their own universal sized realm, as well as some information from beyond (knew about the ghost of sparta)
Type 5: Can create technology equivalent to that of a Type 5 civilization such as technology that can affect an infinite multiverse, or fully warp reality on a conceptual or metafictional level. Has the intelligence of a multiversal civilization.
2: Time Master (Freedom Force): Smarter then the Domain, a Multiversal civilization that harnessed the power of Energy X, a multiverse spanning energy being.
Absolute Intelligence:
1: God (DC Comics): Beings who are absolute knowledge are parts of the unity that existed before being, the infinite First World.
Hey Imp, I have a question about girls, why would they scale to HIM's TK output and reality warping?
ReplyDeleteThey don't neccesarily have to, but it seems to make more sense then not. In Meet the Beat-Alls, it takes the combined power of 4 villains, HIM included, to defeat the PPG, and it's clearly expressed in that ep that this is an exception to the normal rule, that the PPG normally beat them (which is consistent with what is seen every other ep they appear.) After Mojo leaves the girls beat those three, HIM, Princess, and Fuzzy suggesting that those 3 villains were not able to make up for Mojo's lost power, which would include hypothetically the power of HIM's strongest offenses as HIM can use his reality-warping to boost physical power (He did so to the Rowdy Ruff Boys in The Boys are Back in Town.)
DeleteThe PPG are consistently portrayed as physically superior to HIM (save the bad future HIM), with HIM focusing on deception and subterfuge. Caught off-guard Buttercup one-shot HIM in Moral Decay. Likewise in See Me Feel Me Gnomey, the girls withstand an attack from the Gnome after he had absorbed the general power of every superpowered entity in Townsville including HIM, which would neccesarily scale Gnomey to HIM's level of reality-warping and telekinesis. Perhaps most convincingly, in a nightmare dimension controlled by HIM after breaking out of their own nightmares the PPG beat up HIM until he begged them to stop in Power-Noia which seems to suggest to me that his reality-warping was insufficient to stop them and that they therefore scale.
TLDR: The Powerpuff Girls are almost always treated as physically superior to HIM (with the sole exception being the bad future in Speed Demon) and he doesn't seem to be able to just stop them with his reality-warping or telekinesis even when stopping them is clearly his motivation.
