Death Prediction: Jedah Dohma vs Lucemon

Lords of Darkness are not always bestial monstrosities looking for devastation. Some are more civilized in appearance and whose goals, such as the end of conflict, seem almost noble And there are few as eloquent, refined, and seemingly noble in goal as these two masters of darkness.

Jedah Dohma, The Savior of the Demon World

Lucemon, The Child Angel who Transcended Good and Evil

I am Imperator100, and this is a death prediction.

Jedah Dohma:

Origin:

In a demon world separate from ours is the land of Makai, a world supposedly made from the body of God. Three Makai nobles ruled over the land; Belial Aensland, Garunan Bosital and Jedah Dohma. At only 6,000 years old Jedah was the youngest but cleverest of the 3. Jedah possessed a confidant known as Ozomu who tricked Jedah into absorbing more souls then he could handle from the Gates of Makai and was erased from existence leaving Ozomu to take the throne of the Dohma Clan as Emperor Ozomu.

But this was not the end of Jedah's story. Regenerating a century later, Jedah felt no anger towards his betrayal but instead merely despair over the sad state of his world and determined himself to end all conflict by merging everything into a single soul. If all of life was within a single soul, there could never be conflict between them again. This goal, this mission would drive Jedah to return again and again no matter what and has made him one of, if not the great threat in the Darkstalkers Universe.

Physical Power:

Jedah is styled after a Japanese Shinigami, meaning literally "death spirit". This is similar to the concept of "Grim Reaper". Unique among fighting game characters, Jedah does not use punches or kicks but instead relies on his scythe like wings (which are not actually attached to him but hover close to his body) and to a lesser extent his claws to melee his opponent.

In terms of physical strength, Jedah should be comparable with physical powerhouses of the verse, considering his strength was enough to threaten Demitri. Demitri in turn had absorbed Mortal Pyron and was a physical equal of him before that, suggesting that Jedah scale to Mortal Pyron in terms of strength. How strong is Pyron? Well he has been able to make 3 planets, one of which being the Earth orbit around his fingers like rings, an extremely casual feat that was low-balled into the low-stellar range of energy. Considering that in Darkstalkers 2, one of Pyron's win quotes is that he "has crushed stars", this seems relatively consistent.

In Combat, Jedah Primarily uses his wing-scythes for melee-attacks. He can use them as reaper-scythes and can impale an opponent with them and fly up into the air before crashing them down again (Ira Spinta). He can also turn them into a whirling chainsaw of death (Ira Piano)

Jedah's wings also give him flight capacity, fast enough to match the highest tier of the verse, including the likes of Demitri and Pyron. Pyron is capable of moving to and from his home planet of Helistorm to Earth in a fraction of a second between the character select screen and match start, requiring speeds easily thousands to millions of times the speed of light. Also during Pyron's backstory he traveled across the universe itself to collect planets in the timespan of 3 years giving him a speed of over 15 BILLION times the speed of light. Jedah should be comparable in speed to Pyron.

Jedah's raw durability is more impressive then even his strength and speed. In the Japanese Darkstalkers Manga, Jedah's durability was even enough to briefly survive the holy light power of Lilith after absorbing Morrigan. Such was massively above the power Jedah uses to maintain his Majigen which is large enough to contain it's own constellation. Jedah's durability is buffered by his incredible regeneration. Jedah's soul has regenerated from being shattered and scattered across the universe and even having him and his entire dimension wiped out into "nothingness" was unable to permanently destroy him. It is said he will keep returning until his mission is complete. Jedah's regen is also VERY fast, to the extent that he can cut off his own head as a form of block attack (Spreggio).

Also on the physical plane, Jedah can directly manipulate the fabric of matter-energy, such as when he gave the disembodied soul of Lilith a physical body of matter and energy This suggests he can make things not made of matter manifest physically.

Hemokinesis:

A rather notable subset of Jedah's powers, His ability to control blood is one of his most famous abilities, capable of covering the moon in blood from another dimension during the span of a conversation. To overcome the rotational kinetic energy of the moon would require 80 Teratons of TNT, and to launch that amount of blood at that speed would require energy in at the very least planetoid range. In the Japanese guidebook, Jedah's blood and entire body is said to be made of a red variable liquid made specifically for the purpose of resurrection

In combat Jedah manifests his hemokinesis as a variety of attacks like the most "conventional" of them, Dio Sega which sends out a whirling blade of blood. He can also trap opponents in a sphere of blood with Nero Fatica, pump his opponents full of blood until they burst with San Passare, and can summon arms of blood to drag his opponents underground into a giant pool of blood, attacking them over and over.

He can also summon a blood arm to slam an enemy into a contrast consigning their soul to him with their blood (Provia Di Servo). This leads well into the next category.

Astral Manipulation:

Jedah as a grim reaper has the ability to steal souls and absorb them into his being. He has absorbed Demitri in non-standard animation. He was able to steal the souls of all of Makai at once, and Makai has a mainland trillions of miles across. After absorbing the soul of his victim, their memories and powers become a part of him as what happened to Ozomu. This feeds into his ultimate goal; the creation of Shintai.

Mental Manipulation:

Jedah's ability to control minds is one of his most famous abilities for good reason. Jedah's mental powers are so strong they could affect even the mind of Pyron, who is essentially a sentient galaxy in his true form, and also in his own ending he became the center of the universe. Jedah's psychic powers are also able to manipulate entities in the past like he did to call to Anakaris 5,000 years ago, somehow ignoring the causal problems that would be associated with that.

Jedah is also implied to be telekinetic, given his Blood Moon Feat referenced above in Hemokinesis.

Spacetime Control:

Jedah has very powerful control over space and time. While he has more standard issue powers like portal creation and inter-dimensional teleportation, his powers go far beyond that.

Jedah was able to maintain his Majigen, which as shown above is a dimension large enough to contain it's own constellation. The Majingen was actually created from Ozomu. After Jedah returned from Ozomu's betrayal, he with his heart filled with mercy, transmuted Ozomu into his dimension. Jedah's dimension is according to the Darkstalkers 3 guidebook outside of space and time.

Potentially related to this is Jedah's sealing capacity. Jedah was able to seal off his dimension such that not even Morrigan could fly out of it despite that fact that she passes through inter-dimensional boundaries between the human world and the Makai every night.

It is also said in the manga that he has complete control over the Majigen and control it's shifting. His dimension has even begun to absorb Pyron in Pyron's own ending after Jedah mentally attacked him.

Intelligence:

Jedah is considered the smartest of the Makai Nobles and is extremely manipulative and clever. He is constantly manipulating others to do his bidding and masterminded his assimilation plot to end the universe.

Jedah also has some level of cosmic awareness. In the manga he was shown to have knowledge of everything going on in the Majingen at once and also was able to know what was happening in other dimensions.

Weaknesses:

Jedah does have a few weaknesses. He can be overtly sure of his plans working out and unwilling to accept that something might go wrong, such that when something does go wrong he can become rather irritated. It also stated that light can pain Jedah, hence why he does not enter into the daylight, though it does not state that light actually damages him particularly.

Personality:

While Jedah is a sinister personality that wants to dominate all life and unify it all into a single lifeform, he generally appears completely relaxed and collected. Jedah genuinely believes his goal is good and it is said that his heart is merciful. He speaks very elegantly and acts like a gentleman and good host in most circumstances, but only so long as it does not interfere with his plans. If anything interferes with his plans; gods, demons, monsters or humans, he will being them to the oblivion of death.

Lucemon:

Origin:

((Just to get this quickly out of the way, all versions of Lucemon are part of the same character so all sources ARE canon))

Long ago, the human and beast type digimon began to war with each other. An Angel Digimon came down to Earth to cease their fighting, known as Lucemon. Lucemon took total dominion over the Digital World and ceased the war.

When some of the Digimon tried to revolt against Lucemon's reign, he began to rule more and more cruelly and tyrannically. Eventually 10 Ancient Warrior Digimon managed to overthrow Lucemon and seal him away, 8 of them dying in the process. The Three Great Angel Digimon split control over Lucemon's domain with Seraphimon governing Law and Order, Ofanimon governing Love and Life, and Cherubimon governing Knowledge and Teachings.

But Lucemon has yet to be fully defeated. He has manipulated others, humans and digimon, into allowing his return or serving his will including members of the Royal Knights and Cherubimon himself.

Child Form:

This form, betting it's Angel nature can heal, resurrect and attack with holy lights. Lucemon's primary attack in this form is "Grand Cross" which launches a miniture solar system at the enemy. Is this not the power of a real solar system? Maybe but it should be far above the power of Vademon who according to the official Digimon novelization created and maintained a solar system sized spatial warp inside a small room:

“Koushiro was led to the “Room of the Mysterious Universe.” It had no ceiling, walls, or floors to contain it, just a strange air-space that expanded indefinitely. With a diameter of 2-3 meters, the room was rather small, and yet it contained the Sun and the planets, even asteroid belts.”

Likewise Wendigomon created a dimension seemingly containing a star, and Wendigomon's digivolved form is Cherubimon, who has only a fraction of Lucemon's power.

Lucemon's Grand Cross is also said to be superior to Seraphimon's "Seven Heavens" attack, which itself if sometimes stated to be stronger then Testament, another of Seraphimon's techniques (which logically Lucemon should be able to use). Why is that important? Well Testament has the power to create a new Big Bang. Lucemon can also attack with an eyebeam that can send people to the end of the world or erase them.

Falldown Mode:

Lucemon's main form as one of the 7 Digital Demon Lords, the Lord of Pride, Lucemon in this form resembles a pseudo-abstract. The Digital Demon Lords are natural primordial forces of the universe. It is said that Lucemon is the darkness in the hearts of people. In this way so long as a dark heart beats, they will return, as long as people have malice in their heart, Lucemon is immortal! Because of their nature, to even battle the Digital Demon Lords is to make them stronger.

Even compared to the other Digital Demon Lords, Lucemon is far above. It is said that the other Digital Demon Lords are nothing compared to Lucemon and he demonstrates this by beating Daemon, the Digital Demon Lord of Wrath who had previously absorbed all the other Digital Demon Lords. This includes powerhouses like Leviamon who can swallow the Digital World whole.

Lucemon has notable ability to warp space and time. His very presence can warp the physics of the universe in unpredictable ways. Lucemon's awakening was enough to collapse the barrier between the human world and the digital world. Lucemon when trying can send everything in the human world and the digital world into his Dark Area, a dark warp of spacetime that is a part of him and exists as the graveyard to collect the souls of deleted data. His spacetime warping aids his speed already impressive enough to blitz a Digimon that moves at lightspeed.

Lucemon has a few other assorted abilities. He can attack with blasts of light, darkness and force. He can turn matter into data, has low level telekinesis and electricity manipulation, can reflect attacks, and can resist existence erasure

Satan Mode:

Described thusly:

"Having the appearance of the dragon of Revelation, it is Lucemon's final form. As was told in the Revelation, it carries the Crowns of the Seven Deadly Sins upon its head, and it holds the orb of darkness, "Gehenna", which absorbs all attacks. All attacks are nullified before the Gehenna, and it is said that the world will perish when Lucemon takes this form. However, Lucemon's true form (Lucemon Larva) exists within the Gehenna, and Satan Mode is no more than Lucemon's shadow. Therefore, no matter how many times Satan Mode is attacked, those attacks will not reach the true form, Lucemon Larva. Its Special Moves are a flame of destruction which purifies everything (Purgatorial Flame), and a light of annihilation fired from the seven Crowns (Divine Atonement)."

This is Lucemon's Final Form. It is said to be that which will being destruction to the entire universe. Beyond those attacks it also has a few more as well as Satan's Wrath which shoots energy out of Gehenna and Dimensional Slasher where it attacks with it's claws.

Lucemon's Larva State is as strong as his previous forms, though more vulnerable and remains inside Gehenna lest his Satan Mode destroy everything in a Rage

Intelligence:

Lucemon is a master manipulator and recreated the conditions for his own rebirth though does not seem to be the smartest of the Digital Demon Lords. Lucemon also has a degree of cosmic awareness as he knew the Legendary Chosen were on the Moon.

Weaknesses:

As the Digital Demon Lord of Pride itself, Lucemon can be overwhelmingly arrogant and vain, thinking himself completely above ideas like good and evil. In addition if his Satan mode is disconnected from the Larva Mode it will go wild and destroy everything.

Personality:

Said to be the one closest to God, Lucemon lives a paradoxical existence of the ultimate light and the ultimate darkness, of complete love for all beings and complete hatred for all beings. He desires to destroy all of existence and recreate it loyal to himself as supreme. He despises free will as taking others away from his "perfect" will and plan.

Alright, the combatants are set. It's time for a DEATH PREDICTION!

The Worlds of the Multiversal Ocean float and wander like bubbles in an ocean of nothingness. By chance occurence, one filled with nightmares, the other with code did come into contact. From this new access two beings did meet....

Lucemon flew through this new portal to a strange world that had previously been unavailable to his will. Below him he saw a strange tall figure dressed in dark clothing with blades for wings like an angel of old, he swoopt down.

Jedah beheld this off-being split down the middle come closer to him, light and darkness dancing off him. This small asteroid near the gate was nowhere near sufficient for a meeting of this caliber. Both knew almost immediately that the other would need heed to his will until he was FORCED too.

Lucemon spoke first, his eyes half-closed, glaring at this being who had dared to challenge him. "A shinigami? Do you really think a pitiful force like death can affect an Immortal Divine Entity? Hehehe"

Jedah put his hand to his chin in mock contemplation, eyes closed "Are you a god? Pity..." Jedah opened his eyes suddenly "I was hoping to find something I haven't destroyed before."

Fight!

Lucemon quickly launched a flurry of strikes at Jedah. "Paradise Lost" he said with understated intensity.

As each strike struck Jedah, the ground itself quivered and trembled from the force yet Jedah remained unaffected, Lucemon's wings extended from his back to cover his arm's length as he launched Jedah up into the air for the climatic part of the strike.

However Jedah quickly countered with "Balzo Perdano" and was suddenly gone from Lucemon's sight. Lucemon quickly turned to where his sensing knew Jedah would be, though he had teleported away. Lucemon suddenly felt a sharpness in his midsection. Jedah performed Ira Spinta, whirling back down to Earth with his wings impaled in the Demon Lord, their crash to the ground making the fragile asteroid split in half and fling through the void, dust obscuring the air.

Through the dust, Jedah and Lucemon could see each other shadows clearly looming ominiously, the dust exaggerated their features though neither knew fear.

The Monster World and the Digital World continue to fuse around them, worlds creeping closer to each other, and both knew that the one who won would determine the quality of this fusion.

Jedah pressed his advantage using San Passare. His Claw extended into where his scythe-wings were impaled and he felt the blood rush from him into Lucemon...

But the blood simply leaked from Lucemon's form creating a massive puddle on the ground.

"Hmmm? Trying to kill yourself rather then fight me?" Lucemon taunted mockingly.

"Not a creature of blood, are you?" Jedah inquired... "How interesting..."

Lucemon brought his hands together and and his eyes widened with intensity

"Grand Cross!"

Lucemon fired a solar system at Jedah, the heated orbs burning through the smoke and darkness tearing through the void at superluminal speeds.

Jedah quickly took flight, racing through the system, nimbly dodging around the orbs when he suddenly found his body pulled against his will, by a telekinetic, sending him careening into one of the orbs.

Jedah's head and arms were burned off as his body slumped down on a nearby planet's moon, the orbs shooting past. While most of the holes were cauterized, his stumps shoot a stream of blood that hit the nearby planet and caused the landmasses of the planet to shift, the ocean to burn and swirl, and all life to end in a manner of minutes.

Lucemon flew down and landed next to the body, pleased at his seeming victory.

Jedah's head and arms popped out again from his rapid regeneration, his surprise plan a complete success and before Lucemon knew what happened he was impaled on a wing-scythe and dragged through the cosmos at untold speeds.

Lucemon did not know what happened...before he knew anything he was carried, as is by a vile wind, at rapid speeds. He experienced sudden flashes of heat and cold as Jedah dragged through the cores of the planet and suddenly into a black hole.

Jedah circled Lucemon menacingly on the inside of the black hole, seeing how this being handled the inside of a black hole. Lucemon's light illuminated the darkness before being sucked down into the singularity. Lucemon charged Jedah but Jedah quickly sidestepped him.

A circle of blood engulfed Lucemon's force as Jedah used the Nero Fatica before slashing him in rapid succession with.

Enraged at this display, Lucemon sent a powerful blast of light outwards. Jedah quickly teleported away from it however in the black hole, the light was pulled downwards, hitting the singularity, the sheer power of the Angel Digimon accelerating the mass to FTL speeds causing the black hole to explode.

From every direction, black hole remnants blasted destroying everything in their way, ionizing the air and causing any atmosphere-bearing planet within a few lightyears to have their atmospheres burned off. Light and heat emerged at intensity unknown to the universe at this state. Lucemon and Jedah were far away

Jedah's entire body was burned and singed from the light. While he remained total composure, his slightly slower movement went not unnoticed from Lucemon's awareness.

"He doesn't like light, huh?" Lucemon thought to himself internally smiling. Lucemon remembered the light of his youth and from his hand came an intense light...

"Shining Laser" Lucemon said and with that a brilliant laser beam came from his hand, a beautiful silent doom in the black void.

Jedah saw the laser coming, and becoming slightly irritated at this foe projected his consciousness outwards and pulled

Lucemon suddenly saw a red surface come block his laser surface before imploding as the laser drilled through it. Looking around he saw a vast procession of stars and realized his enemy must have called down a stray galaxy as a shield.

The various worlds of the galaxy did not appreciate being suddenly flung at mftl speeds, causing a ton of collisions of planets and stars with great explosions rocking the skies of the galaxies. Lucemon eagerly accepted his opponent's challenge and flew through the explosions blasting with great streams of light and darkness through the cloud of stars. Jedah saw the light and darkness stream blast forth and answered in kind manipulated the local spacetime throwing the stars at the various source, as the two dipped and dodged around.

Jedah telepathically projected, feeling his opponent's awareness throughout the galactic battleground. As Lucemon felt Jedah's disturbance upon his mind, he grew angered at this mental attack and with a wave of his hand started causing this universe to be absorbed into the Dark Area.

Jedah felt a great pull stronger then any he had ever felt and quickly to another dimension. Seeing an inhabitated planet, Jedah's mind imposed itself on the people of the world causing them to relinquish their lives. Jedah quickly absorbed their souls, readying them for his plan.

Jedah felt a portal open up behind him and heard Lucemon's voice "Dead or Alive"

Twin energies of darkness and light came from Lucemon's outstretched hands, and Jedah was torn to bits. Lucemon felt himself pulled underneath the ground of the planet by arms of blood torn from their recently dead bodies who attacked Lucemon over and over.

A swift punch from Lucemon and the planet shattered, the blood of the people once on it evaporating to nothing.

Seeing Jedah, who had rapidly reformed, Lucemon sent out a more furious blast of light. Jedah, expecting this quickly dodged the attack, the light of Lucemon's attack sending out radiation causing the people of this local space zone to die suddenly of burns and sudden molecular disruption.

A quick teleport, and Jedah was behind his enraged enemy. Jedah placed his hand on Lucemon and concentrated his mind, and Lucemon's body of data warped and twisted and expanded into a dimension.

Jedah gazed in wonder at Lucemon's body dimension...it was dark and warped beyond all measure, worth then the black hole seen before which shouldn't be possible in known universal laws. A booming voice came from The Dark Area...

"Hehehehe...did you really think this would stop me?! I am the Dark Area, I am the darkness in hearts..."

and with that, the dark area began absorbing the universe's luminaries, with stars and galaxies being pulled towards the Dark Area at incredible speeds.

From the bottom of the Dark Area, the darkest pit of the heart came the ultimate scourge of the universe. A Dragon's roar and then with the 7 crests upon his back, the dragon of the end entered the universe, with a roar that could be heard across the cosmos, the soundwave breaking the ears and hearts of any who heard.

Jedah smiled to himself and thought "What an usual strategy for you...to bring the dark area as a weapon instead of fighting yourself....could it be someone has manipulated your mind at the start of this fight?"

Suddenly a string of dimensions were created around Lucemon Satan Mode's form, thousands of them like Russian Nesting Dolls as Jedah released the souls he has taken earlier.

Lucemon attempted to create a portal out, only to find that he had been sealed in. With a giant growl he began slicing at the dimensional boundaries with his claws, ripping them to shreds.

Meanwhile Jedah hurried to the border of conventional space, burned and irradiated thought it was with the warp of the Dark Area.

"Souls sleeping in this graveyard....in darkness and ruin....allow me to guide you to the peace of oblivion." Jedah said calmly absorbing the souls from the Dark Area and feeding it into the oversoul...the great Shintai...

Jedah, felt the universe sway and converge as the Shintai came into awakening.

A great tear of the cosmos and Lucemon Satan Mode tore through. The Shintai's power blasted Lucemon Satan Mode, severing his grasp on the Orb of Gehenna.

Lucemon Satan Mode, uncontrolled, spewed a great purifying fire from his mouth reducing all floating matter-energy around to base data and from his seven crests releasing light streams destroying everything in their past.

The Shintai and Lucemon Satan mode's power caused the universe to break apart rapidly, the material plane crumbling like so much sand in the wind.

Inside the orb of Genenna Jedah teleported, the universe ending all around. Lucemon Larva Mode quickly blasted Jedah's Limbs off.

Jedah spoke unto the larva "There are no souls left, there is nothing left for you to survive within save this meager shell..."

"Are you so arrogant?" Lucemon asked "You still live...and so live as a heart full of malice still beats, I am immortal!"

Jedah regrew his arms and tried to attack again but Lucemon's barrier stopped him and Lucemon blasted him again, knocking out all of Jedah's nerves for a moment.

But Jedah was entirely calm now "Malice? You must be mistaken...my heart is full of nothing...but mercy"

There was an odd swishing movement from the larva who said "without combined death, my data shall possess yours and evolve again....this is your end....TESTAMENT"

The Larva called upon one of his oldest powers which released a sudden burst within the orb of gehenna, the birth of an entire universe all concentrated with such a tiny space, moving at speeds unknown to humanity, with power of divine grandeur...

Jedah and Lucemon were blasted, their component molecules breaking down.... their atoms exploding over and over, the protons and neutrons being flung apart, sub-atomic particles marking base quantum probability floated in the air as everything broke down to constituent bits of existence and non-existence, bits of 1s and 0s inside a grand computer...

Double-K.......WAIT!

Centuries pass, but from the nothingness, clumps of existence emerge from scattered quantum fluctuations. These converge more and more...exponentially until...

Jedah emerges from the Orb of Gehenna, the cosmos plunged into total chaos from that fight. He had much to do....he could not rest until his mission had ended.

K.O.

So there are a LOT of factors to consider with this fight. Here's a big point though, it's really not about stats this fight. In this case it's far more about who has a better capacity to be able to defeat their opponent's regen factor, because both of their regen factors are REALLY hard to circumnavigate.

When it comes to Jedah overcoming Lucemon's regen, namely that Lucemon exists so long as a heart with malice does, there are two sort of answers. One is that Jedah's heart is legitimately full of mercy which means "all" he has to do is destroy every person besides himself to end Lucemon's regen. The other is to actually destroy himself which theoretically will end the regen and he can allow his own regen to bring him back afterwards. Difficult but more doable then Lucemon overcoming Jedah's regen.

However there's one point, a small point honestly, that really convinced me. Lucemon was originally defeated by the Ten Ancient Warriors via sealing him away. Jedah not only has sealing, but can seal dimensions so well that not even someone who can casually go between dimensions like Morrigan can escape. I know the counter argument is that Lucemon fought the Ten Ancient Warriors which include Ancient Wisemon who has the sealing technique "Laplace in Ma". However it is not confirmed either that Lucemon was hit by that attack (He was fast enough to blitz someone as strong or stronger to Ancient Wisemon in his Falldown Mode) or that Laplace in Ma  is as strong as Jedah's sealing. Combined with his speed advantage and Jedah would have complete mobility over Lucemon and would be able to keep him where he wanted him while Jedah does what he needs to in order to win.

Beyond that while both are intelligent, Jedah could manipulate Lucemon's pride, and moreover would want to far more then the inverse situation. There is also the possibility he could affect Lucemon in his more naive child form in the ancient past (though we don't know how long ago it was) in order to make Lucemon in the present weaker for him to win.

The Winner is....Jedah Dohma

Next Time:

Thanks again to my friend Thor for scoring the blog, proving this awesome next time trailer, and for a bit of help with my Jedah research.

  1. Imp I have to be honest, I...Have never enjoyed myself more reading a prediction blog. It met or exceeded all hype! Darkstalkers is one of my favorite games, in fact i was playing a lot of it today in anticipation of this and I love it so much, and You did a perfect job in Understanding, Analyzing and Portraying Jedah! Lucemon is someone I didn't know but my god is he dark and cool, I'm really surprised a kids franchise like Digimon can produce a villain even as remotely chilling as those of Darkstalkers but holy crap was it cool to see. The Effort you put in here is bleeding (Hehe) through in every sentence. The fact that you didn't know either of these franchises before doing this matchup is absolutely baffling to me, I do not have confidence I could get a grasp over Digimons Vast and Confusing lore, and Darkstalkers wasn't exactly easy to comprehend either due to all the different media and inconsistencies that tend to happen. the fight seen legit transcended awesome, they tore apart spacetime and screwed reality, someones really gonna have to clean that up. I'm amazed you are even capable of writing stuff that twisted. The result brought joy to my worried heart and I was amazed by the logic for why, it really does make me love fighting games cause its far more about variety, knowing how to use it, strategy, and psyching out your opponent than it ever will be about button mashing of stats, and this kinda embodies that with how stats are not very important due to sheer regen. Can't say i was fooled by the Double KO tho cause it is honestly SO hard to find anyway to kill one of them so something working on both sounds batty :P, My fave part of was the interaction between the two characters, i don't know Exactly why, but villains talking while they fight always is insanely entertaining. Thanks so much for the shoutout, but when your blogs are thing good, I'm honored to help any way i can <3

  2. Now this was a sort of unsettling matchup (in a good way). Nice job Imp! I didn’t know about either character but I had an easy enough time understanding their powers and backstory as you presented them. That fight was absolutely insane with solar systems expanding and collapsing so casually and in a way kind of creepy with Dohma suddenly absorbing random beings off a planet. I think my favorite moment was when Lucemon was shooting light attacks only to be sucked up by the singularity (so cool)
I think my favorite of the two is Dohma, because of his design, personality, and way of attacking I found more interesting. I’m glad he won of the two.

So overall, really interesting idea for a matchup, great research, and great fight. Your Samus blog should be interesting;)

  3. Hey, awesome blog Imp! I think we talked about this a while back; I asked for a suggestion for Jedah, and you came up with Lucemon. Cool to see you got into it!

  4. Nice fight, but there are multiple facts that you left out and to be honest, Lucemon would take this easily. Things such as him being a Multiversal constant within an infinitely expanding multiverse, His power over nothingness, the abilities he gains as Satan Mode, his ability to nullify resurrection and rebirth, the Seven Great Demon Lord ability to resurrect as long as malice exists withing the hearts of man in addition to the sin they embody along with many other abilities.

    1. Alright, while we clearly do disagree on certain versus points, I hope this can remain cordial and polite.

I looked at the evidence for Lucemon's power and some of the facts I must confess I found ... unconvincing.

There are some things I am forced to intepret due to Death Battle's frustratingly ambigious rules such as outside help and a neutral battlefield. It is unknown who else would exist for Lucemon to exist in the hearts of, since he is a concept of Malice. Must of my fight was basically to show the eradication of all life, so that there wasn't anyone to regenerate from. I did this to illustrate how Lucemon's source of regenerate, the malice of the univese could eventually be extinguished but I was unable to find a power for Lucemon I would realistically think could kill an entity who can regen from nothingness, though Lucemon having higher destructive power and durability I agree with since he easily scales to a Demon Lord that can consume the entire digital world even in a lower form.

I have not seen evidence that suggests he could nullify Jedah's regeneration. The only nullification I have seen for him is the Orb of Gehenna which naturally would naturally not affect a non-attack since Regen.

Again, no hard feelings, and I hope this can be polite. I disagree on certain notions of your argument but I hope you do not think lesser of me as I do not for you.

    3. The Demon Lords have the unique power to end the cycle of reincarnation and rebirth, and any foe they kill are banished to the Dark Area, becoming one with the Demon Lords. Kinda hard to regenerate if you are merged with a Demon Lord. http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/Lucemon
